Now this is truck Aussie’s love and expect. Wasn’t that long ago our bread and butter utes were V8 and supercharged. Aussies have been asleep since with importation of dumbed down eco 4 banging chattering soot blowers.
On a serious note I have a big question for harrop and walkinshaw. American trucks in Australia. 1500 = no payload. Diesel 2/3500 = overkill for under 4.5t towing and most unlikely to go over that needing air brakes. What am I saying? Well scrap the 1500s and the big diesels. Just bring the 2500 with the big cube gas engines. Good payload, will tow at (not just under) but at 4.5t all day. It's the go to combination for tradies in the US. 1500 is more of a family truck, 2500 diesel and up is more for serious excavation contractor's hauling bigger equipment (6t plus towing). Meaning your average landscapers will go a 2500 gas. Also bring the single cabs and lower end models. I struggle to understand why none of the importers, reviews or comments don't realise there are gas 2500s which is what we need in Aus to complement our Utes. Not this 1500 bs or 2500 diesel. Almost all will complain about the payload of the 1500 but never come up with this solution or admit a diesel with 1000 lbft is a waste for around 3 or 4 tonnes behind.
Good but I'm not buying a 1500 for towing. I'm buying it because I want a big luxurious vehicle. But the 2500 is too big for my needs, so this suits me perfectly
@@HarropTV I'm worried about the dfm system. So I'm still holding off on the order. Can you do a video explaining the dfm and how to rectify the issue. There are heaps of horror stories from the usa
No it doesn’t, and we don’t have a luxury import tax on utility vehicles in Aus. You can get these for 120k on road if you shop around. Cheaper if you get rid of the GST for business use.
Build an oem quality supercharger for a Chevy?…..could have put a little effort in fellas 😆 could have tried to build it Ford tough so it would last 😆just kidding. I want one but I’m terrified of the DFM system when you pay so much for em in Australia 🇦🇺
I got my 21 6.2 Trailboss to 572whp with just e85, longtubes with a VVT retained comp cam and FAST LT1 intake with throttle body. No blower. N/A. 540 wheel is pretty weak.
Nice set up . The dyno must read very high . Stock 5.3 liter is rated at 355 crank horse power right . And they said bone stock rwhp was 350 . That’s like no drive train lost that can’t be right ?
12 second 1/4 mile was a quick street car 20 years ago, this thing is a truck! I want one
12.6 is crazy!
I’m pretty impressed with the standard truck with just under 14 too.
🎉🎉🎉ty
You do us Australians proud!
Love the transparency. Looking to add a supercharger to my 6.2 trail boss end of the year. You’re on my radar.
Nice work Dave & Co. 💪

Bring back the v8s! Everytime I hear “introducing the all new 4 cylinder blah blah” I switch off

Oh yeah baby.
Nice work fellas.
Great testing and comparing.
I need one of those supercharger’s 🔥a lil more power doesn’t hurt for a ever day driver 😂
Guys, what did you do with the Dynamic fuel management? Surely you disabled it in the tune. It’s been a mechanical nightmare it seems.
I wish we could get these right hand drive trucks in the UK🙁
Have you guys had one of these on a 19-22 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2L L87 yet?
That compares pretty favorably with the Ram TRX and should be considerably cheaper in the Oz market
Can you run the supercharger on 95 as there are not many stations with 98 in the country when touring
I'm about to order my 2024 silverado ltz. I want to know how much the fury package cost and is that including dfm delete.
Please contact Walkinshaw Performance for info on their Fury Package. Thank you

How much is the fury?
Time for the 416 and more psi!
When you change your language to talk the way you think makes you sound super professional and end up talking like a robot 😊
Why not change the throttle body
can I buy the supercharger in America?
Where do I sign
World first👍🇭🇲
I wish you guys would do a TVS2650 kit with an interchiller for the V10 R8 / Lambo Huracan platform.
Any plans for that Harrop?
If only I had the cash
Dope
Holy shit, how much does a truck like that cost over there?
100k+ and then you can add 33% luxury car tax and delivery charges.

Sorry 119k if you are looking at a Trail Boss
@@jtob5032 it applies to any car in Oz, I paid it when I bought mine, it is part of the dealer charges.
Why anyone would buy a cruiser wagon and cut it down, beyond stupid.
Should compare to a charged Y62 🤙
Absolutely walks a charged y62. My brother has one and at best it will do a late 13 1/4 mile. Barely faster then my amarok (14.1 1/4 mile)
Got a lot of time for Harrop, have many of their products . . . not so much time or bother for GM and Walkinshaw.
You don't get much supercharger sound
Brilliant. 🛠🍻 just want we need. Burn more dinosaur blood and guts.

Still a lot of wheel spin.
