This is a band you really want to look at lyrics for. The singer, Garrett, has a masters degree in psychology and bachelors in English and philosophy and used to work as a therapist before Silent Planet. He's also one of the most genuine kind people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The lyrics on their first couple albums are full of footnotes
@@daltonevans3412 it was one of those things I heard second hand.Having looked into it more, it would seem that he wasn't a professor. One of his influences for song writing was a professor at USC. Figured I'd correct my mistake haha.
@dead_and_devine1505 ah, no worries mate. I was just curious cause my best friend went to the university of south Carolina and she absolutely loves this song so i was gonna pass that fact along to her. Thanks for the correction.
DEFINITELY check out more Silent Planet. They're some amazing dudes who make some amazing music. Native Blood, Understanding Love as Loss, Panic Room, and Northern Fires (Guernica) are all excellent songs to check out next. Also make sure you have the lyrics because Garrett (the singer) puts so much effort into them and a lot of their song lyrics will have notations like am academic paper
Saw Silent Planet at the Dayseeker show I went to in May with Rain City Drive and Avoid. The lead singer of SP stayed after the show to take pictures with everyone from kids to adults. Honestly hadn't heard of them before the show but that made me instantly a fan
Saw them play a show near their hometown a couple years ago and immediately after their set Garrett walked right out the front door of the venue with a huge bouquet of flowers and started handing them out. He stood out there for at least an hour making sure to talk to every single person that wanted to. I spoke with him for a few minutes and afterward he gave me a hug and told me he loved me.
This album is so good, and we're so lucky that they were able to make it. A lot of it deals with the car accident about a year before they released it that almost killed the entire band. Their van flipped over on a super icy/snowy highway while on tour.
Yes, this is their newer sound as well, it would be cool if you guys reacted to some other older stuff as well! The first two albums and even the their albums are good.
Hi girls, if you dig this you should check out any track from northlanes 'obsidian' album. Its metal infused techno. It absolutely slaps but you groove like mad to it. The song clockwork or cypher is a good place to start
Awesome 🙌🏻 Like other commenters have said, Silent Planet are definitely one to check out more of with their awesome instrumental and meaningful lyrics. Would recommend “The Visible Unseen” it’s about run away and rejected LGBTQ homelessness. It has a video too 🤙🏻
Things I have learned about Andrea: - Doesn’t know what an analogy is - Thinks ecstasy must be consumed when club dancing 😂😂😂 I wanna know what drugs y’all have been on lately cause the energy and humor in this weeks videos so far are top tier lol I had a feeling you two would like this song! Baddiecore always gets ya 😂
lol she is special! We love her regardless! 😂😅 Listen we have been on something lol. I guess just high on a good time! 🤣 We do be lovin’ that baddiecore! 💜💜😏-Dallas
I've been listening to Silent Planet for 10 years. This is one of the milder songs they've ever written. Pretty sure this is the first song with clean vocals too. Garrett's screams are Top Tier. Definitely worth going back to listen to their older stuff.
I agree!! I was also a little bummed about the lyrics of this song since I know what they’re capable of and this doesn’t showcase it at all. This was a good song for them to start with since it isn’t as heavy, but a part of me just feels like they are missing out on some of the deepest lyrics in metalcore.
Sorry guys, I was looking out the window because a package was being delivered and I was hoping he didn’t ring the doorbell haha!

Silent Planet is very much worth a deep dive for content or on your own time. Lyrically their older albums are pure poetry.
Every song, every album. They’re great

Please do more Silent Planet! Such an amazing band and love y’all’s reactions!

Definitely need to check out their song Trilogy, it's a banger.
Their entire Iridescent CD is amazing. Until we have faces is one of my top fav songs of all time.
Andrea you are so hilarious 😂😂 love you guys your reactions so fun oh mylanta lololol
Need to listen to the next song, Collider. It carries on the music video, kinda. Plus just a great song with a fun guitar riff for the pre-chorus.
Silent Planet is my favorite band of all time, thank you for the reaction!
Antimatter is a good song, but I promise you'd be missing out if you didn't check out Collider by them. Really shows off the bands talent.

SILENT PLANET YESSSSS. I highly recommend Euphoria ft. Alejandro Aranda, and Superbloom. This entire album is perfect.
Oh and for a fully heavy song you're gonna love from them is Annunaki. Crazy groove and heavy.

Would be a very good next song to react to by them!
I second this, probably my favorite song by them.
@@thewhitewolf1905 yeah, I believe it has a perfect mix of all their entire sound in one song, even elements of their new sound. Overall great song.
you have to see imminence heaven in hidin (feels are reals)
Been loving your videos. You should check out some thall, like Humanity's Last Breath, Vildhjarta, or Mirar. It'll make for some good reactions
Yes yes yes …..

First song with Garrett's clean vocals which definitely shocked the fan base 😂 they've had plenty of clean vocals in the past though with Thomas
Check out terminal by silent planet
