  • So if you've seen the news there was a large earthquake here in Japan a few days ago, right on the last day of our trip. Up until that though, we had a great time traveling around North Japan! We first went to Zao Onsen in Yamagata, then went to Aomori City and Hirosaki in Aomori, and ended it off in Morioka, Iwate prefecture, where we were when the earthquake happened.
We mainly went on this trip because of a discount ticket, but by the time you add in the fees we had to incur on our final day, we didn't save any money 😂 Oh well, such is life!! Our purpose of the trip was to see a lot of snow, which we did!
Have you been to North Japan before? This was my first time! I'll definitely be back, but with a rental car next time. There was a lot we wanted to do but couldn't because we didn't have a car :( But I'm looking forward to my next trip up there!
Please like, comment, and subscribe for more videos about Japan in the future! 🥳 I post every week!

I love how diverse Japan's climate is. The north is basically Siberia while the south is a tropical paradise. So cool, I'd love to visit Aomori and Hokkaido someday!

Ahhh I never would have though igloos and bbq would make a good combo but now I'm dying to experience it at least once!!

I watched this right after class and I was just vibing to the peaceful music and gorgeous shots, then literally flinched when the music changed for the earthquake-related portion lmao, good stuff. Glad you're safe!
If you're ever interested in doing some information-based travel videos (maybe once you're monetized, I'm sure it'll be a lot easier then) I'd love to see them! I'd definitely watch a whole video just about the igloo grill and why it exists, even if the reason is because someone thought it looked cool. That's a valid reason to exist.

Aww thank you 🥰 Sorry I scared you 😂 That’s a good idea 😭 I’d love to do content like that, maybe I’ll try one out on my break 😳

@@AllisoninTokyo I know it's hard to do, and especially worse with limited time and even more limited funds, so don't push yourself! But travel videos that talk about local culture and customs and differences are definitely my favorite, Japan is so diverse.

I agree I really like those type of videos 🥺 I’m embarrassed filming outside because there’s no tourists for me to blend into but I might try and challenge myself 😈

I'm glad you had a great time but dang, what a way for it to end. If I ever live in Japan the first thing I'll do is purchase a disaster kit.

Thanks! And yeahhhh not the best ending but I’m thankful we at least finished our trip 🥲 Yeah, I kept forgetting to get one but now I’m going to work on building one after that 😬
