Opening morning goose shooting

In this episode, it's what we've been waiting for the 1st of September opening morning .
I invited Jez & Robin for the opening morning on some stubble shooting greylag geese . we are also joined by Chris from CJW sporting , who kindly helps us out for the morning setting out the decoy pattern ,sighting geese & calling . Then picking up the geese .
We start off this episode the night before myself Robin & Chris wait for the geese to leave the field and head back to roost after their evening feed , before we can get onto the stubble field to dig our holes for our hides .
watch as the human JCB digs his hole setts up his hide then comes help both myself & Robin dig our holes .
so with the holes Dug hides ready , it will be Jez's turn to dig his hole in the morning as he could not join us till the morning.
So we head off home. and to bed ready for the morning. it only felt like I put my head on the pillow before the 3.30 Alarm I set was going off .
Robin arrived at 4.15 kit loaded into my truck and away to me the others at the field . we arrived at the field and got stuck in to putting the decoys together and making sure we had the right spread of decoys out .
as we all got ready to get into the hides I went to the truck to get my gun .
it was then I realised I had bought it with me , I felt a right plumb good job I live less than half a mile away from the field. after a quick trip and back we all settled in our hides the the banter began to flow .
the geese have been coming to the field around 6.15 but this morning the first lot came at around 5.40am .
after then came and went there was a quick pickup back in our hides then it was a while before the geese started to move , when the did start to move the action was fast and furious.
so sit back and enjoy the morning with us .

That is awesome mate ,, I could only imagine how that feels hearing them come in ,, brilliant shooting,, the burgers look fabulous, and the jerky well as you know I needed a glass of water 😂but didn’t stop me eating a bag full 👍 ,, as always mate a really entertaining watch

Out of interest, why do you tap your gun before you take a shot? Noticed that across a few of your vids.

Thanks for comment. Tapping the stock of the gun is to wake the shotkam up to start recording. .
