BIG DAY WITH THE 410s

Welcome back to the channel , coming up in this video myself & Carl are back out with the 410s. this time shooting over drilled peas , We actually found the field the day before as we we're heading to another field that didn't produce many birds . we setup using a few dead birds on spikes & cradles with one FF6 flapper for a start . The wind gave us the run around over the afternoon changing direction a few times. So a regular change of decoy pattern was needed trying different things .
as the afternoon went on the birds changed the flight line which meant they came from different directions . it made for some great shooting .
Equipment Used .
1 flighline FF6 flapper .
Dead birds as decoys .
Home made pigeon magnet .
Jack pyke hide poles .
Hides are came systems & nitehawk ghille net.
Guns Carls gun Wesley & Scott 941.
My gun Kofs Sceptre game 410.
Cartridges Fiocchi F410. hull high pheasant 410.

Much enjoyed. Takes me back to my youth when I used to get out with some mates sorting woodies and crows. Now retired, I've the time on my hands to get back into pest control shooting, but all I do now is clays a few times a year at a localish range, and airgunning rats, feral pigeons and corvids in my garden. Just lost two blackbird nests to crows. Big Steve, E, Yorkshire.

Great video mate I had 28 bore for for four years and best day I had was 250 on cut beans love small caliber only down side is price of cartridges keep the videos coming

@@washwildfowler only in jest me old like I said in previous comment a 410 was my first shot gun and I took it everywhere some of my first shotgun decoying sessions were using the 410 and 2" no6 cartridges so just thought we'd go back to the good old days no gadgets just sticks and dead birds and have a go. Keep up the good work 👏

Dont know about over there but .410 shells have been unobtainum since the ammopocalypse. And when you do find it, it is ridiculously priced.

I’d say about 45 yards mostly 20, 30 yards .👍

@@washwildfowler Good air rifle range then, try it Dewayne, but if you do, make sure you have enough ammo and air, because it can be prolific, last year I had 113 on 6hrs, awesome day 🤓

7:20 Quick question - would you ever use 2 x FF6 flappers in the decoy pattern ? Would it make it worse or better ?

Hi , it’s horses for courses . It may work one time & not another time . I have used 3 flappers before on Greens it worked well .
