Yes, I agree. It's the old Lindy fuzzy grub with a different jig head. That being said, this new jig looks good and as shown, it does catch fish. I just want to mention I still have some of those Lindy fuzzy grubs, they were known as a great walleye bait. Thank you for pointing out what I was thinking when I saw this video 👍
All these minnow style baits like a rapala are made so much better by using vmc 7237 inline circle hooks instead of trebles. They have a wider gap to geta better bite into a crappies mouth. Makes a big difference when they get above that 13" mark and pull out from thin lips are rare. These hooks i feel increase the action of the baits, judging by watching, and it makes releasing those biggins much easier on the fish. If we keep em all or keep just the big ones, we will see the new populations of big crappies go away again.
These clips are commercials showcasing products. It makes sense to advertise said products for the upcoming open water season, which may be in a couple weeks this year
