It depends on if they are going eastbound or westbound. When going eastbound, there could be two on both sides, or just one at the front, when going westbound theres usually one dm30ac at the back of the consist pushing instead of pulling...
Usually, it's cab cars facing the west and diesel engines facing the east. On the slight chance it's double-ended due to a cab car shortage or regularly scheduled 6+ car train, diesel engines face both directions.
The DE/DMs face Eastbound, or there could be 2 Engines on either end of a consist. If there are 2 Engines on both ends and at least 6 or more cars, then that train usually is coming from Penn Station.
Is that a wooden platform?? Yaaaay!! Something from the old days!!!👍👏😏🤸
There's a concrete platform beneath it from the early 20th century, looks like the wood is a replacement perhaps.
Like a mini Metropark in NJ... lots of activity! Sounds as though there are issues with flat
spots on the wheels, too.
4:52 the 2nd motor sounds like mixed consists of M9s
M7 and M7A
Main Line is always good action
Wonderful Footage.!
Is that actually a Kawasaki M9 or Bombardier pretty much
I never seen a 6 car LIRR ever. Metro-North is 6 cars through Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines.
Sunset in thumbnail was very orettu
I was at Queens Village during evening rush hour today
They are going FAST! I don't take the LIRR or the Metro North often so idk.
Which way do the DE/DM30s face?
Outbound
On the Montauk branch they are on both sides

Diesels are always on the east end of the train. If there are two diesels, then the second diesel is on the west end in place of the cab car.

What's that at 0:03? It looks pretty cool!
Hi Fan Railer uh this is kinda unrelated but for LIRR sound pack is it for PC only or PS4 too?
Nice video 👍
Which train sim would you recommend for the Bombardier M7... metro north preferably, but it doesn’t really matter I guess.
Nice keep up the good work
Imagine if they used the Kawasaki M9 as an Amtrak Caltrain ACE Metrolink BART Go Transit Coaster or NJ Transit
Never
That wooden platform looks so flimsy! Is it temporary or did they just never get around to using concrete?
Good Video
