Thank you for all the support everyone!! I had a great day! I learned so much. I got to play with my car, understand how it it works and what needs to be upgraded. What a great start!! This community has given me so much love and support and the best advice I can use in the future. I will continue to improve!! A promise I make to myself...
You’re so amazing, I lost my mom a few years ago, and seeing you enjoy this with jimmy reminds of the good times I had with her. Thank you. Can’t wait to see all the progress and got far you go!!!!
Mama oaks did great! It's not easy. Her whole life she only drove cars like a normal person.so learning to drive on the edge of control won't come in a day. Keep ripping mama oaks. So glad the E 30 is ripping again too!
''How does it feel to finnaly be here in your own car?'' ''Natural.'' Holy shit that energy, she'll be banging doors with LZ in FD in no time with that attitude daaamn, go mama Oakes!!!
I like hatless Jimmy. You look good without it ♡ And having Momma Oakes out there whippin her own car was amazing! You're doing great! I hope to see y'all tandem soon.
My Mom has been gone since 2002 and seeing the joy in yours and Jimmy’s face brings me to tears with the all of these amazing memories you guys are making… keep these video coming
Yo that filming was fire. Gave so much movement and sketyness to the shot exactly what it needs to be not all smooth and blah. The composition and energy was awesome
Killer video. So stoked to see the E30 ripping again! Suits you so much. And of course @Patricia Oakes, you are an inspiration. So great to see you getting into drifting! You and Jimmy have a very unique bond and something like this will only make it tighter. Awesome job in the Z3! Seeing you start to modulate the throttle and let the car self steer was awesome. A few more practice events and you'll be out shredding. Anyone who has owned a drift car knows the learning process you are going through. Frustrating, exciting, but when you get it, the most fun you'll have in a car. Great post.
Jimmy, I used to autox with my mom in a miata. She had a Z3 for a couple years before she died and seeing you and your mom race together and her in the Z3 is super nostalgic for me. Even her vibe reminds me of mom. Love the content brother, thank you for all you do
I was happy to see the black beauty sliding again she is a monster as for mama Oaks you already know a legend in the making she’s alreally legendary🏆 because she made you bro 🗣let’s go🏎💨💨🤪
Jimmy on those HOT ass drift days ziptie a hydration pack full of ice water to the back of your seat. Itll stay cold all day and cools you off almost immediately. Super sweet “mod” thats only $20
Been driving E30's for 20yrs now. Put 205-225 15 inchers on it and try all those drifts with no hydro. When you get good at that, then you'll be one with the car. It's how you were describing the back end helping you through the corners. E30 likes to be tossed around and connected smoothly turn to turn. I can't imagine needing hydro when clutch and the happy rear end is there, but guess it's good as a backup. I grew up on a lot of Best Motoring and watched the drift king roasting everything with just the basics though, so maybe i'm just being nostalgic.
Looks like you had a bitchin time with the e30. That car looks like a super fun seat time car for sure Momma Oakes killing it out there too, won't be long before the other door on the e30 is red because she planted a tire into it 🤣🤟
Tell Momma O just hang in there she will get it soon! Jimmy you are awesome buying your mother a car to let her rip! Love the channel and content keep up the great work! I'm here for the algorithm! Peace
@@jsgratz5031 Eh, who cares if they're reps. Kansei wheels at least aren't the cheap shit reps being sold for $50 per wheel. They're a good balance between a wheel that can take a bit of abuse without breaking the bank and still remain cheap enough to be considered disposable when it comes to destroying them with harsh driving. Plus the benefit is that you aren't limited with fitment and offset in the way that you are with a genuine set.
Thanks John!! Looking forward to practicing all the skills it takes to link that track! I received some great advice that day. This community is so supportive! Glad I was out there!!
What you could do (if that is in your desire ofcourse) is 3d print some trumpets for the ITB's, I know Phil from Drift works did that on his Lambo and they came out amazing!
Ur mom is hella cool man. Im impressed how well she could open her drifts up then bring them back in tight again pretty much right off the crack. Not the easiest car in the world to pitch sideways when ur a beginner too. Those little things have a ton of mechanical grip. With a short ass wheelbase thats a tough bite of steak. But, if she learns how to link turns in that car, she'll be unstoppable in something set up.
@@patriciaoakes4686 mission accomplished!!! SO rad you're spending time with your son drifting. Im a bit older than Jimmy, im 34. But my mom and i still hit the slopes together almost every weekend in the winter. I dont think kids spend enough time with their parents these days. Stay behind that wheel, the more time you spend sideways at the track, the more prepared you are in bad situations on the interstate. Stay rad Jimmys mom!!!!!!
hey @JimmyOakes finish building the bmw e30. and builds a double flow exhaust with x pipe. that sounds awesome with the single throttle system. believe me, trust the beutschem guy
First off, super cool that Mama Oakes has joined on board with going sideways in her own build! It must be a beautiful blessing to get to have your mother join you in what you love jimmy :) Second, the E30 is Roaring out there! Sounds super sick 🤘 And lastly I’m curious what it is you shoot video with regularly 🤔 Hope you get a chance to respond I know you guys are busy. Regardless, love the content. Mrs Oakes, I appreciate the fact your sunglasses frames almost match your seat. Fun fact, I worked for a bus company ( who will remain nameless), another mechanic and I used to drift out old ready to retire buses in giant back lots in the winter. The General Manager gave us front row seats in his office, didn't look at us for 5 minutes, then looked up and said, get out of my office, nothing more. WE GOTS THE MESSAGE. You already know but... The z3 needs 16s with way narrower tyres and even budget coils. Far too much tyre for a learner. She did unreal still. The E30 sounds like a beast. Thanks for the vlogs lad.
This series is soo awesome. To watch both you and momma Oakes throw down like this is the icing on the cake after watching the work done on her car. The ITBs sound so good in the e30 too. Good stuff Jimmy. Looking forward to LOTS more

Just a tip for drifting 4 door cars on the heat. open all 4 windows, it's better than a convertible.
It's a BMW - so it probably has 1 working window regulator. 😅
