Really weird PINK stuff covering everything on this mountain

I was out hiking today in the first week of winter and noticed a rock and some plants that had this really weird pink colouring all over them so I started to look around and it was on basically everything on this side of the mountain. I've been up on this mountain at least 100 times and never seen anything like it. Could be some kind of strange fungus or mould. either way it's really weird...
A little bit of History of this spot. I was out hiking here about a month ago and out of the corner of night I saw what looked like a gigantic black wolf. We don't have any wolves or anything like that that live anywhere near here so I think it was probably me just seeing something weird or maybe not having enough for lunch or something like that. I didn't think much about it and walked in the direction of where I saw this gigantic wolf thing disappear behind a bush and found some torn up children's clothing on the ground.
This spot where all the pink is over all of the rocks grass and plants is exactly the same spot where I saw what looks like a giant wolf and found the children's clothing.
Not making any of it up. It's just a really weird spot where a lot of weird stuff seems to happen. If you watch some of my pit bike videos you'll hear me remark saying that often feel like I'm being watched whenever I ride around this area.
