    In this tutorial, I'll show you how to create advanced unique styles for limbs using Rubberhose 2 from Battleaxe. Rubberhose is a fully-featured Character rigging tool for After Effects. We'll go beyond the basics and I'll show you how to dial in the look of your character's limbs exactly the way you want to. Just because we're using Rubberhose for rigging doesn't mean we have to have super cartoony bendy limbs!

    It's so great to see how useful the native taper system can be in combination with rubber hose. Fantastic video as always Jake. I can't wait to play around with this stuff.

    Thank you for the nice tricks from the Tapper. I figured out some of the tricks from using Rubberhose and how to optimize to achieve new options for the limbs. This new tutorial is really helpful for the future since I'm using RubberHose a lots.

    Thanks mate, pretty cool stuff. How would you go about adding a feathered shadow/highlight to a hose? I've tried doing it by duplicating the hose and adding a feathered mask but unfortunately the mask doesn't move with the hose. Any thoughts?

    How do you think about using other peoples artwork in you projects? I’m definitely not a character designer either so in my most recent project I’m using other artwork. I got it from Freepics so from my understanding I have permission to as long as I credit the artist. Which of course I will! I still just feel unsure about it. I love your tutorials though! They are entertaining and informative!

    amazing video jake! but can you please tell Which one is better betwin robbehose and duik? i myself think that duik is a little better, because you just create the bones straight forword on your design without having to recreate the hole thing in a harder way. this is my opinion as a newbie so pls dont mind me if im wrong

    Quick question: does Rubberhose have sliders to setup head turns and expressions?

      No, there are no facial rigging features. Duik Angela is a great option for that.

    Do you have to rebuild every character in rubberhose? I thought you would just be able to animate shape layers?

    • @JakeInMotion
      @JakeInMotion  Рік тому

      You can use the rubberrig and rubberpin systems to rig artwork without rebuilding anything. The rubberhose system runs on shape layers.

    Hi, I installed the Rubber hose 2 script, but when I create a hose, I cannot change its color because there is no color option in the contents section, and the search does not show the color option. Please help me.

    • @JakeInMotion
      @JakeInMotion  Рік тому

      Make sure to select the hose layer and not one of its controllers. Since the hose is a shape layer, you can also change its color like any other shape layer with it selected up in the top toolbar.

      @@JakeInMotion Sorry, my problem is that when I create a hose in the Content and Style options
      BaseHose is not available for me to make changes.
      In addition, in the Transform option, all the numbers are red and cannot be changed if they should be blue.
