My friend’s aunt used to live in Los Angeles in the early 80s when she was a teenager. One afternoon she fell off her bike and sprained her ankle. She hitched a ride home (it was normal back then). A man stopped for her. He happened to be Walter Matthau. He stopped at a local drug store, ran in to buy her bandages, stopped at a pay phone to call her parents to tell them what happened. Talked to her on the ride home about everyday things like school, family, travel, food, friends, etc. Made sure she got in the house ok and walked her bike up to the porch. Didn’t gloat about his status once. A lot of celebrities are jerks but it’s a nice story to hear.
Nicest celebrity I have ever met was Paul Newman. He was staying at a resort I was working at, many years ago, so I saw him fairly frequently out and about over a few weeks. Friendly, kind, classy, and very funny. He didn't act like he thought he was anything special, he was much more interested in other people than himself. Total class.
Paul Neweman was known tobe a very kind person, although, he had achieved fame and fortune, his feet were planted squarely on the ground. James Garner, also!
I was lucky enough to meet him twice and I can vouch for this! Just a regular guy you can have a beer with. His wife Joanne is also a lovely person, so sorry to hear she's been ill with Alzheimer's.
A friend of mine was a race engineer and ran cars that Paul Newman would drive in. I asked how he was in real life and my friend said, you've seen Cool Hand Luke, right? Of course. He said, like that but nicer...to the point in between his race stints he would sleep under the table with his helmet on lol.
My family and I met Michael Keaton at a hotel during Sundance Festival. He was so sweet and down to earth. He even held our little daughter for a photo together! He said, "She's so cute; can I keep her?"
michael had a kid from n.ireland staying with him every summer for years . it was to help kids get away from the troubles here . when the kid was getting married michael bought the lad a house as a wedding gift
I met Charlie Sheen - I was introduced to him as a friend of a friend of his. Although I was actually sort of impressed about meeting the guy (I don't normally hang with celebrities), I was not expecting a whole lot of nice. But Sheen had in fact met my seriously drug-addled brother a few months earlier, and when he found out I was that guy's brother, he got up, grabbed both my hands and said - with more heartfelt sincerity than I was expecting - "oh my god. How's he doing?" I thought that was sort of sweet (and my brother's been clean for two years now, so smiles all around).
People really need to quit judging people for how they act in front of a camera, especially when being confronted with threatening dialog concocted for ratings in the first place. Of course people are going to act out.
Absolutely true about Lucille Ball. In 1972, as an airline passenger service agent for a major airline at O'Hare Field, I checked "her" in at the gate with her manager and I had to direct all my questions to her through the assistant. "Will Miss Ball prefer a smoking seat, today?" and "Would Miss Ball prefer the window or aisle?" All the while, "Miss Ball" stood staring at me like I was an indentured servant and never once responded to me in any way. I've never liked "I Love Lucy" episodes since.
There’s a famous story about Lucy blowing a fuse at Vivian Vance when they were filming an episode of one of her post I Love Lucy shows . Vivian who played the part of Ethel Mertz in the original series had a disagreement on some script issue with Lucy and Lucy who was also in the middle of a marital split with Desi Arnez yelled out to her in front of everyone “🎉don’t give me any of your lies because I knew that Desi also “effed” you “ ! ( And the fact is..- that it was reportedly true.)
One of my friends back in the 90s was head concierge at a top London hotel and of all the big names he came across he reckoned Patrick Swayze was the loveliest man, let alone film star, he ever met.
The older I get and the more I watch his movies, the more I appreciate him. Loyal and faithful to his wife, the eldest member of the 80s rat pack and gave it his all in his performances. Some of his movies came to be because so many other people passed on it or didn't think it was going to work, like Ghost or Dirty Dancing. Road House was his best performance in my opinion, especially when he has to pull the dagger out of his partner/friend Sam Elliot body as he was left dead on the bartop and the intense expressions on his face of anger and grief as he knows he has to avenge him. In Three Wishes, the ending really suckered punched me emotionally and made me start crying and wasn't expecting that. That is why I am never going to pick up smoking, if it wasn't for his heavy smoking habit, he would have easily been with us 20 years longer as he was quite the athletic dancer
@@GHC3 Patrick swayze died from stage 4 pancreatic cancer.. was already quite advanced when he was 1st diagnosed.. he lived a year longer (2 yrs total) than expected..!! I met Mike Nesmith of the Monkees. He treats you like you're his high school friend. Very nice and humble guy. At the time, he had inherited his mother's liquid white out fortune which she invented. For a billionaire he was a very down to earth guy. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago.
Years ago my mom and I met James Doohan, Scotty from the original Star Trek. We are both fans of the whole Star Trek franchise and we have a special fondness for the original series. Mr. Doohan was very polite, took time to talk to us, signed some autographs, and, with permission, gave my mom a very sweet kiss on the hand. It was a delightful encounter and a very special memory.
Man that's nice my favorite role he did is obviously Matt from 13 going on 30 which is held in my hailed in my heart of being one favorite movies ever so I'm glad he's nice but I hope his co-star is nice too from that movie
What so often happens in La La Land, is that the Studios ruin good people, by telling them how talented, gifted, wonderful, superior, beautiful and handsome they are, to get the performance they're seeking, until the actors actually BELIEVE IT! Then, they are all narcissistic egoists and no one can STAND them anymore! It it wasn't so tragic, it would be funny!
@@crankychris2 No, not necessarily. Egoism is an acquired mental disease, and it is exacerbated in Hollywood, by directors and producers who tell the actors how bright, smart, wonderful, brilliant they are at what they do, so that in most of them, it feeds that disease, and of course the outrageous sums of money they get only serve to falsely feed their self-worth image of themselves even more! But there ARE a very few celebrities who do NOT fall into that trap, are still nice, decent human beings, but they are rare!
Andy Griffith was my Father-In-Laws English Teacher, he lived down the street from their family years later and never minded people just walking up to hm to talk.
Those were different times and a different moral society. If you spent any time in the industry you'd understand what self-absorbed narcissistic a$$holes most of these actors are, despite appearances
She is there just to promote the lesbian agenda for the liberal left. There are several talk show hosts who are there only for that reason. It is the same in politics too. Glad to hear one of my favorite actors is not full of himself. He made me laugh so hard in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas & terrified me in Sicario.Terrific actor.
Carlos Reyes Glad to hear that there’s still a few good ones out there. Most of them are sick, nasty, hateful perverts. That is into some serious and ungodly acts. Most is not worth the time to even to pay any attention. That’s all, could go on for ever. Hollywood and its people are sick and perverted. God Bless you all.
Glad to hear that he may actually be a nice guy ! He is definitely easy on the eyes and a decent actor. A fellow Larino too ! I have enjoyed every movie I have seen him in.
When I was about age 13 my mom took me and a friend to a play staring an aging Ginger Rogers. After the play we were able to go backstage and meet her. She was so nice and charming. She said lots of really nice things about her co-star in the play. She put her arm around my mom's shoulder talked to her as if they were old friends. She also signed our programs.
Because of the job I did I met many so called high end celebs . One of them was liz Taylor, she was really lovely even gave me some swiss chocolates. Cant ask for more then that lol
I’m a pilot for a major airline that flew celebs regularly. My encounters were all positive and they were polite to the crew. The one story I’ll share is about Diane Keaton. The flight attendant came up to the cockpit and said Capt Ms Keaton would like a word with you. I met her at the doorway and introduced myself. She said she didn’t want to experience any turbulence on the flight. I told.... you know this is a 3 dimensional operation we’re running so I can’t guarantee we won’t. As soon as we took off we started to get really beat up. The flight attendant dinged us and said she was not amused. Ohh well.
OMG I can’t get my head around how anyone could be that stupid! Thanks for a great laugh. I guess we shouldn’t expect much more from Annie Hall….la dee dah…
I asked a stewardess in NYC once who was the nicest person she ever met on a plane and the worst. She said the worst were Lucille Ball and Jerry Lewis. They would never speak to you directly even if you were right in front of them but instead would speak through their assistant. She said the nicest person was Richard Gere.
@@mjlejer3241 I recall reading something similar about her. Lucy was a hardened Hollywood starlet who likely paid some serious dues to get where she got.....very successful. And, it hardened her, especially her marriage to Arnaz. That must have made her crazy.
@@jenniferlarson6426 As we understand it, her marriage to Desi was one of convenience mostly, to induce more fame, as he was a very popular musician at that time, far more known than she was. But there had to be some physical attraction because they had two kids. She had medium brown hair and thought red hair would set her apart from all the other gals who wanted to be actresses in her era. I think her talent was not her lines, those were written for her, but her facial expressions, with that clownishly painted face, the lipstick oddly outlining her lips, was almost comedic in itself! But she was driven and when the chance came for her to be a studio executive and producer, along with her husband, she jumped on it, thus Desilu Productions. In the war-time '40's, people NEEDED something to laugh at, so "I Love Lucy" was a good candidate for that.
People have to understand one thing. There is no connection between a celbs work and who they are. The people who are nice before getting famous, will usually be nice after. The people who are rude and self serving, had those traits in their personalities before becoming famous.
@@deniseerikson1246 Interesting. He came to our offices at Disney to pitch a project, surrounded by his entourage, and was totally quiet. Maybe he was having a bad day.
When I was about 10 years old my father passed away and I started listening to John Denver. The most amazing person when I met him a few years later. His music got me through some hard times after dad died and then my mother was able to get his address in Aspen. I wrote him a he wrote me back with signed photos and this went on for about two years. Then I found out he was coming to Cincinnati for a concert and I did go and me and a friend went back stage and as soon as the guard was about to tell us to leave, John said that we could hang out. He remembered me and my name. So sweet. It was a shame when him and Annie broke up. They were so cute together.
This gave me goosebumps. His special. He was the only person my music teacher father wanted to see in concert. I was thrilled to take my dad to see him live. What a talent. Wonderful memories since my dad passed. My mom has advanced Alzheimer’s but sings along and is thoroughly happy when I play a video of him in concert. I worked at Disney World in the late 80's. Famous people were common place. For me, two were authentic and down to earth: Michael J. Fox and Reggie White.
I had the pleasure of meeting Michael J Fox. It is a long story but he was such a sincerely kind person. My dad had recently passed from Parkinson’s and he was so gracious to my mom. Very special memory.
met Billy Mummy from Lost in Space at convention in TX, very nice guy, we chatted for few minutes, he is into music now, told him to write a bio about his life, he was great child actor in the Sixties
Not surprised about any of these actors being jerks. I've met many celebrities in the 80's when I lived in Hollywood and they were very warm and respectable to others. Most have passed but the ones who are still here I had great experience with them. Leslie Jordan ,Tim Conway , Patti LaBelle, Dolly Pardon, Perry King, Jaclyn Smith and many others.
I met Lenny Kravitz in passing in the French quarter. He asked directions to Cafe du monde so I walked him there. He was so nice and offered to buy me a coffee.

Years ago I went to a western show in Apache Junction, AZ. It was put on my Wilford Brimley. I think it was a charity event and was full of actors. Bruce Boxleitner was on his horse next to a fence and some kids were talking to him, asking him questions, and asking for an autograph. He turned his horse so his back and the horse's rear end was facing the kids. I told him loudly that he should be ashamed of himself. Told him he wouldn't be where he was without his fans. I then called him an asshole. He turned and we locked eyes. If looks could kill, he'd have dropped dead. He turned back around and continued to ignore the poor kids. I won't watch anything with him in it to this day. Was shocked when Melissa Gilbert married him. Glad she's no longer with him. I haven't liked Tom Cruise for a long time either. I had a sister-in-law that joined Scientology and her family was treated horribly. Well my aunt is one so I'm not going call them idiots but I'm still going to give you it is a messed up cult. All that you said it true. I worked at Universal Studios Hollywood at TV and feature film development. On one occasion I worked with Dom DeLuise and Eva Larue on the new candid camera show. Dom was hilarious Ava was beautiful and witty. There was a time after one of the shows taping Dom was in his trailer and I was outside. this family from Ohio came up to me because I had my Universal badge on and said we missed the show is there another show today and I said no I’m sorry but let me talk to Dom and see what I can do. I went into talk to Dom and asked if sign some of his 8x10 glosses. I told him what was going on and he said bring them in here, so I went and got them and they were beside themselves! They got very personal pictures with Dom. Dom’s one of the most generous celebrities I’ve worked with! I miss him and I love him. thanks Dom, I’ll see you in heaven someday.
I ran into him while on my California vacation back in the 80's. I recognized him, walked up to him to say hello and he was very sweet. I apologized for interrupting his day. His reply was "No fans, no career. It's so nice to meet people who like my work". We took a photo together, and he shook my hand and gave me a hug. Dom was the sweetest man!
Oh thank God that story had a happy ending. I love Dom and am glad he's as kind as he is funny. I had a similar situation with Wayne Newton. He's from Phoenix and did a free concert in 2012 when the state turned 100. After it was over, I hoped to get an autograph but didn't know where he was going. I went to the parking lot and saw a fancy car and thought maybe. Security guards came out with Wayne and they said he wasn't going to meet any fans. He said no I'd like to meet them and was just the kindest and gave me an autograph. Another fan just wanted a picture. Security said no pictures, but Wayne was like no I'll be happy to take pictures and gave one with me and the other guy. And Sally Field I had the pleasure of meeting and she was really kind talk to me while signing an autograph book.
Same here. I was 19 and met her at the height of her fame. She was warm and friendly. Not to mention that she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen.
Richard Jenkins is the kindest, most compassionate actor I've ever worked with; twice. And I've even worked with Keanu Reeves, who is a very close second.
He was filming in my home town and my sister met him. She said despite being very busy and seemingly distracted, he was still nice enough to stop and take a picture with her and was really nice. Anthony Carrigan is also awesome.
Of all the Hollywood stars, Keanu Reeves is a bright spot to the darkest inner lives of the other Hollywood stars. Keanu Reeves would be the only one who could convince me to stay away from Hollywood and explain to me what a shark tank this circus is. If his car broke down, I would even stop and help. With stars like Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, Steven Seagal, Chevy Chase and others with bad reputations, I'd drive right on by.
@@horaceball5418 Integrity has nothing to do with celebrity. I value integrity in much higher regard. Mr Jenkins extended himself to me arms engaged me in conversation. While I'm at it, although he never engaged me in conversation (albeit he spoke to me in kind motivating terms), we were very busy, the little things Harrison Ford did to include me were outside the realm of requirement, which made those scenes very special to me. I agree with your estimation of Keanu. I've witnessed him be kind live. It's unprofessional to approach another actor (especially if you have no lines) between scenes or during scene setups, as they may be concentrating on lines or actions, but occasionally an extra will risk getting thrown off a set to ask for a photo or autograph. During one day several women approached him and didn't get them in trouble but herded them aside to set that up during lunch and at the end of the day. He even asked the PAs and AD not to make a deal over it. I was in the final scene of a movie with him after a long all-nighter, he complimented me, gave me an abrazo (side hug while patting me on the back). It meant a great deal to me particularly because I kept thinking during the entire project that he was still likely despairing the loss of his daughter and the breakup he was going through. Given all that he was still able to dredge up incredible inner strength to push through all the pain with which he was dealing, but still took time to overlook that and to strengthen others.
Gene Simmons is generally expected to be as an all around jerk, but that was not my experience when I ran into him at a steak restaurant in Texas. I'm not an autograph seeker, just a music fan. I approached him and he talked to me for at least five minutes. We had a very pleasant and casual conversation. I cut the conversation short because I do respect busy people's schedules. We took a photo together and he told me he had fun chatting it up. A firm handshake and we went our separate ways. He was very much a gentleman with me. (and no I'm not a hot girl)

Yeah, I can see that most of these actors and actresses are jerks or feel entitled, but as Christie Ross said, why use Tom Hanks picture? That's pretty unprofessional of you, since someone could just decide not to watch the whole segment, and think in their mind that Tom Hanks is a jerk, because his picture is noted in the article. So wrong!
I worked with him. He can be a jerk. I was in the round table reading of Turner and Hooch with the cast, producer and Henry Winkler, the director (at the time). Hanks was sooo mean to Henry (who actually is an incredibly lovely man). I still don’t understand the issue between them but I think it was from way back. They both worked with Garry Marshall early in their careers so maybe something happened then. I think Henry walked away (or was let go) from the project after about a week on set.

Tom Cruise may be hard to live with but he treats the people he works with very well. My sister worked with him & said he was one of the nicest celebrities she ever worked with in 15 years in Hollywood. So be fair. If we want to talk about toxic celebrities, why not mention Michael Douglas?

I was a security officer at the Raddisson Hotel in Denver, when Mr Amos walked by and grabbed my right arm and said i need to workout my arms, looking up i noticed it was him, He was with his wife. This was during the Denver Grand Prix Race and was full of celebrities including Motley Crew. He stayed there for a week. The thing that impressed me about him was that no matter what he was doing, he took a few minutes to talk to me everyday, and treated me like I was somebody. Instantly i was his biggest fan.
I liked Good Times (the whole cast was great)! I've seen John Amos in other things, and he always came across as somebody that I could take an instant liking to!
@@gregorytimmons4777 Actually, that incident with the Severed head Trump photo, could not have worked out any better. It got her ugly face and annoying voice off TV. That worked out beautifully.
Last year my daughter and I met Val Kilmer with his two children in a small Mexican cafe in a tiny AZ town. He was very nice and gracious, although his frail condition was alarming.
Not ALL of us! I wouldn't go see any of those in the video even if you PAID me to go see them! Egoists, all of them! But what is REALLY DISGUSTING, is how much they demand to be paid! Literally MILLIONS of dollars and none of them I know of are worth anywhere NEAR what they make!
I met Michael Aday better known as Meatloaf. He was so nice to me. Bodyguards told people “do not touch him” when i took a photo with him i was allowed to put my arm around him.
Many years ago at a theater in L.A. I saw Lucille Ball sitting in the lobby during intermission. If anyone dared approach her, even an usher to tell her she's not supposed to smoke in the lobby, she'd point to the secretary/assistant sitting next to her and say "Tell her, tell her." If they're going to be like that, they should hide in the manager's office during intermission (which some do). Or go outside and smoke. To be fair, I don't like being bugged by strangers, either. But still...
I almost only read negative things about this woman. Is the woman missing somehow? Or do you still mourn this person? If smoking was forbidden and the old box had the glowing stick in its mouth, I would address the person who was smoking the glowing stick and not the assistant. Some Hollywood jerks would have nothing to laugh about with me. “$60 on my hand for smoking in a non-smoking area, now!” There are some Hollywood stars who are absolutely overrated, back down to earth.
I am retired airline and I met a lot of famous people over the years. I NEVER bothered any of them for an autograph. It's annoying and just plain (pardon the pun) wrong. Travelling is stressful enough without being pestered by people.
I totally get what you're saying. Back in the day, before those annoying freeloaders otherwise known as "Influencers", I don't think any "famous" people actually set out to become famous. They were just good at what they did and were career-wise in the right place at the right time. But none of them signed up to be harassed by so-called fans or the tabloid press every time they stepped outside the door. I am an ordinary Londoner who grew up seeing people from TV walking around the streets and doing their grocery shopping. I might love them in their TV roles but I don't know them, they don't know me, and it wouldn't cross my mind to invade their privacy by speaking to them or worse, pulling out my phone for a photo.

I was a bit-part actor from 1970 to about 2010. It was quite an experience. The whole industry is full of weirdos. We were often warned not to get too close to the celebs-or even make any eye contact with them.
@@FactsVerse I was a freelance actor in Australia. I attended drama school in Melbourne, 1976. I was never given leading roles due to my British accent. During this experience, I did have small roles in films with famous actors; however, I was always warned not to converse with leading actors. I still remember the time when I said ‘hello’ to one famous actress on the set, her name was, Mary Tyler Moore. The director roared something at me. I had the same experience in another film called, The Pacific. Famous actors are like members of a superior cult.
When u make as much money as some of these actors and actresses make, at some point your whole persona change. I don't know these actors offscreen but I can tell by the way they are onscreen that sometimes they are not acting.
That eye contact thing is disturbing....wtf is that...Ellen Degenerate s staff said that was a thing and you could be fired on the spot...good thing they never hired me...I wouldn't last a day...lolllllll
One of my sisters worked with Shelly Long from Cheers. She hated her calling her pretentious and demanding and a total "C". Later on this was confirmed to me by a camera man who worked on the Cheers series.
English person here. I loved Cheers but I found Shelly Long's character really irritating. It doesn't surprise me in the least that she was disliked by her fellow crew and cast members.
@@SuzyQ334 Not only that, but the camera man said that Kristie Alley, Longs replacement, was totally different. He described her as professional, respectful, funny, and willing to see a scene through to get a laugh.
Every celeb in this post earned their awful reputations. I feel sorry for the children of Julia Roberts and Gwenyth Paltrow. Her mother is a huge snob 😪
I met Erin Moriarty of 48 Hours a few years ago. Absolutely no cameras on at the time; and I'm an absolute nobody. Trust me, she's one of the nicest, most dedicated and sincere people you will ever meet. She's even personally corresponded with me several times since.

My grandfather came across Barbara Eden in an airport back in the 60s/70s when she was uber famous. He was just a random average guy. Walked up to her and asked her to join him for a coffee while they waited for their flights and she obliged. They chatted for a bit and my grandfather claimed she was incredibly nice and down to earth. Didn’t act like royalty like the people on this list.
Of course one of my favorites was his come back role in Pulp Fiction. Also enjoyed him in White Man's Burden (1996?) At the time of the Memorabilia Show, (January,2000) he'd had his hair cut short as he was doing a movie with Nicole Kidman where he was an On Air Meteorologist I found him quite approachable, low key.

I’ve seen an interview with a person that actually got to be on the Ellen show. Apparently when she got to the studio the producers had to lay down a set of rules that said that basically Ellen is the star of the show and she wasn’t, she also wasn’t allowed to be funnier than Ellen. on the show she’s portrayed to be this funny and loving person but that’s only when the cameras are rolling. When the cameras are off she treats everyone like they are beneath her
A friend was a stage hand for many large productions and got to see many celebs as they really are. He told me about working a production with Jerry Lewis. According to my friend Jerry is a complete ass. He said that although Gwenyth Paltrow was as strange as could be, she was nice to the staff. Yes, she doesn't eat certain foods, is over the top with her life style stuff and is very weird. But how does that make her a jerk?
I met Pat Boone at LA airport when I was very young. He was super nice and gave me an autograph. One time going up the tram up to Pikes Peak the actress who was on Ryan’s Hope was a few seats ahead of me. When we got to the top I asked if she was on the show she said yes. She had her brother take a picture of my daughter and her. She got my address and later that week she sent me a copy of the photo. Wish I could remember her name she was the nicest person. She asked all sorts of question about Colorado and Denver.
Was at a fund raiser in Greenwich, CT about 10 yrs ago. My mother walked up to Chevy Chase and he was rude as hell. His wife was very pleasant. I can't stand him.
I met Bart Starr at a restaurant in WI. Very sweet & approachable. We talked for a few minutes & he offered to send an autographed picture-I got it in the mail about a week later.
Charlize Theron and Elton John should be on this list. I met both of them when I was a flight attendant for British Airways. Elton John was beyond rude, dispeakable, and downright condescending. He swore at literally everything and everyone including the fly on the window. One of my colleagues gave him some water after he asked for it and didn't mention that he wanted ice so my colleague brought the water without ice and omg Elton went off at him and spewed every racist cuss word you could ever think off. My colleague quit that day. I threw out every Elton john record I had and can't listen to any of his music. About a month later we had Charlize as a passenger and omg she was so rude when a fan asked for an autograph she went off at him and even called the pilot d*ckhead. Then she was on the phone just yelling and cussing at whoever was on the other end of the line. I quit too shortly that. It was then that I decided I never want to meet a famous person ever again.
I had dreams of meeting Paul McCartney. I haven't heard anything bad about him, but hearing horror stories about people who have met celebs and finding out they're not as nice as they had imagined, I would be afraid to now. As for Elton John, I would run for the hills if I saw him. GOOD GRIEF!!! I have seen videos of his husband, David Furnish talking to the media. he seems to be very tolerant.
That's really sad to hear. I'm a big football fan and remember Elton coming with his club ( Watford FC ) when he was chairman back in the 80s they were playing Sheffield Wednesday FC in my hometown and signed every autograph of the many fans who wanted one . So much so that he missed the start of the game . He was really friendly and polite . Maybe caught him on a good day ?
Ellen was at a wig shop with her assistant after she got a bad hair cut, living through a nearly shaved head because of a bad hair bleach job. In that segment she kept randomly pulling the assistants real hair. It was suppose to be funny but, the yakg's were savage, hard pulls and the face of the assistant showed they were painful but it never stopped Ellen who kept doing it. I stopped watching her after some of her stunts that weren't funny.
There is nothing at all funny about Ellen, except the odd way she looks and behaves! And I wouldn't call it "funny" it is shitty! Her crew calls her the "queen of mean" because she is so crass and ornery to them!
The three NICEST celebrities I met when living in New York; FRANK SINATRA. Ran into him 4 or 5 times and he always had a nice greeting. He actually imitated our first meeting at "21", coming over and shaking hands after I raised my glass to him. On another occasion, he introduced me to his wife, Barbara. CARY GRANT. Met him outside the Faberge building. We stepped back into the lobby so we, "...wouldn't start a riot". We chatted briefly and he gave me his autograph (which I later LOST!). He was everything you saw in the movies; gracious, charming and genuine. PHILLIP PINE. Okay, not a "celebrity", but you classic Star Trek fans know him as "Col. Green" in "The Savage Curtain". I recognized him at Sardi's one afternoon and introduced myself, telling him I enjoyed his work. We sat down for a drink and we chatted about early television. A very nice guy.
Griffin is annoying and talentless. How the hell did she get as far as she got. I don't understand it. That incident with the photo of the Severed Trump head, could not have worked out any better. It got her ugly face and annoying voice off TV. That's all that matters.
David Copperfield is a Sweetheart , has a great self deprecating SENCE of humour and generous with his time to his fans. It was a pleasure having him visit my place of employment and watch him attend to some rathe clingy and demanding fans with panache and kindness.
I met the Osmonds when I was a teenager & they were very nice. They talked to everyone, answered questions & signed autographs. That was in about 73 & I was really star stuck then.
Most celebs are jerks! Rule of thumb: actors who play the heavy in small parts are usually really humble, nice people. Stars who are on top are usually total jerks! I know of many who were nice and humble, made it, and became so full of themselves you’d think they thought they were Gods! Shatner is insensitive. It seems like he just don’t get that he is that way! He is an odd guy. He’s not Kirk, folks. Freddy Prinze Jr. is a genuine sweet guy. Adam Sandler is loved. His pal Rob Schneider Couldn’t possibly be a nicer guy! Chevy Chase is mean to people. Cruel. And he doesn’t care. He’s famous for it! I’ve heard that John Belucci was horrible to people, full of himself. Will Ferrell’s career has declined. It’s believed that it is due to his being a total, self absorbed, rude, cruel, mean, insensitive jerk who treats people worse than the human mind can imagine! Kevin James was sweet and humble. Rumors are that he thinks he’s God. Treats people like they don’t exist. Worst celeb of all time? Jerry Lewis! Maybe tied with Wayne Newton. Buddy Ebsen was a good guy. I saw jerk Dick Van Patten blow up several times! Grant Goodeve was humble. Until the last few years of his life when he totally changed, Larry Hagman was rude, insensitive, full of himself etc. Then, he totally changed for the better! Will Geer was a good guy. Scatman Cruthers was a sweet, humble guy. Larry Storch, Don Knots, nice guys. Andy Griffith was often rude, self absorbed, and uncaring. Orson Wells, too. Most of the cast of a Good Times were angry, jerks who fought with everybody! Pat Boone, jerk! Elvis, very good to strangers. Generous to everyone. Elvis was a troubled, insecure man who was totally unsure of himself! That is the truth! He used women. The guys who were around him were not his gang. He was stern with them. He was their boss, they worked for him. None of them were very bright. John Ritter was all for himself. Cold, not caring. The cast hated him. Chuck Woolery can be cold, but basically, he is pretty nice. Alec Baldwin is a disaster. I could go on.......
Wayne Newton is a geniune human being. I met him several years at a free concert he did in Phoenix. I went out to the parking lot and went to his car and security guards told me go away and he said no come on over here and gave me an autograph and signed it to my best friend. And he took a picture with me and another fan. He's actually one of the kindest people I've met. Not celebrities. People.
I am surprised about Andy Griffith being full of himself. I have never heard anything but nice things about him. I always thought that John Ritter was a nice guy! I am not surprised about Alec Baldwin. I am a bit surprised about Pat Boone being a jerk, although he does come across as being a bit too smooth, and apparently he's not the squeaky clean Christian we think he is as he has admitted to having affairs on his late wife!

Years ago I first saw Jim Carey in the show, In Living Color. I thought he was so funny, but then after watching a few of the shows all he was doing was pulling the same faces no matter what the sketch was. I met Jim Carrey many years ago at an iHop in Toronto. It was right around Bruce Almighty time. He was so friendly and even took pictures with my kids. I choose to believe what I have experienced.

But Sheen had in fact met my seriously drug-addled brother a few months earlier, and when he found out I was that guy's brother, he got up, grabbed both my hands and said - with more heartfelt sincerity than I was expecting - "oh my god.

One of my friends back in the 90s was head concierge at a top London hotel and of all the big names he came across he reckoned Patrick Swayze was the loveliest man, let alone film star, he ever met.
He was a gem! I miss him!!!!
Just like fans can be entitled jerks.
What so often happens in La La Land, is that the Studios ruin good people, by telling them how talented, gifted, wonderful, superior, beautiful and handsome they are, to get the performance they're seeking, until the actors actually BELIEVE IT!

He turned his horse so his back and the horse's rear end was facing the kids. I told him loudly that he should be ashamed of himself. Told him he wouldn't be where he was without his fans. I haven't liked Tom Cruise for a long time either. I had a sister-in-law that joined Scientology and her family was treated horribly.

I am retired airline and I met a lot of famous people over the years. I NEVER bothered any of them for an autograph. It's annoying and just plain (pardon the pun) wrong. Travelling is stressful enough without being pestered by people.
Ditto for me and true. Basically tried to ignore them but in a courteous fashion.
Which airline were you?
@@SuzyQ334 Hi Susannah. Thanks for your comment to me. You are absolutely right. I love London and the UK. I really am an Anglophile. My partner and I love British film and TV. I think we know more British actors than American. I don't know where we'd be, being retired now, without our Britbox. I love my Brit friends too. If you wish to, I'm on Facebook, and you can send me friend rqst. Let me know. Cheers! Peter.
@@BillMorganChannel Hi Bill. U.S. carrier Eastern, then in 1988 joined Lufthansa.
My father had a saying about people like this, “They think their sh.t doesn’t stink”.
People who are paid exorbitant amounts of money to convince us they are someone they are not.
What could possibly go wrong ?
That's why they're called "actors."
@@AtOddsAlways You have an excellent sense of humor Dude.
I was a bit-part actor from 1970 to about 2010. It was quite an experience. The whole industry is full of weirdos. We were often warned not to get too close to the celebs-or even make any eye contact with them.
What movies were you in, William?
Super comment. As soon as I saw the word weirdos, I busted out laughing. Still laughing as I write this.
He described her as professional, respectful, funny, and willing to see a scene through to get a laugh.
once she left, her career went into decline, not a surprise
They are just people, like the rest of us. The fact that they forget that makes them jerks.
Every celeb in this post earned their awful reputations. I feel sorry for the children of Julia Roberts and Gwenyth Paltrow. Her mother is a huge snob 😪
And you still don't know. The people who made this clip - who are they?
You can be judged by many things but how you treat someone sticks out. A man dies and the only thing he has that lasts is his reputation.
Gwyneth would NEVER have been cast in ANYTHING if it weren't for her mother's fame and talent. That is an APPLE that did fall far from the tree.
@@ErichH68 Well said, and totally correct!
Right on with both of those women. Add Meryl Streep to the list. So entitled and believe their own press!
I met Erin Moriarty of 48 Hours a few years ago. Absolutely no cameras on at the time; and I'm an absolute nobody. Trust me, she's one of the nicest, most dedicated and sincere people you will ever meet. She's even personally corresponded with me several times since.
😀😂😁
I love 48hrs.and a great fan of Erin. I have a bit of a crush on her.
the real acid test of anyone's character is: can you handle fame, power or money if you get it? also can you be happy at the success of your friends? if they pass you up in the race to the top, can you still be friends anymore?
Spike Lee is SAID to be talented. However, like most of the people on this video, he thinks MORE of himself than he ever, ever should.
Not to mention....I am not impressed with his movies....I don't get it.
I've never been into Spike Lee, even though I've been to his movies. I'm Black but Spike always comes across as an angry Black man with a bad attitude. I can live out the rest of my life without ever speaking to him and never feel as though I missed something
He's also a raving racist.
If and when a white man acts like him, they are called, “racist” nowadays....

You missed a few. Jennifer Lopez for one. Mirrors L. Ball in certain areas.
Yep, ive heard the same she won't speak to people "beneath" her & even her own staff aren't allowed to look her in the eye
Jlo is very trashy.
I thought this video would be much longer.
It should be, I think a few have been left out. Perhaps a PT2 in the works.😒
parts 2,3,4,5 and so on!!
I mean especially because
who WOULDN'T want to know all there is to know about Chevy's
*N* FL career?!? I did hear that right, didn't I ?
Jerry Lewis should be at the top of the list.
Couldn't watch his movies after I read what a turd he was. Takes the fun out.
YOU ARE VERY CORRECT ,I MET HIM SEVERAL TIMES ON HIS TELETHONS AND HE WAS THE WORST HUMAN IVE EVER SEEN!!! BILL COSBY IS SECOND!!!
yep what a nasty guy Jerry
What more would you expect from and evil clown who grew up in Brooklyn......get the holy water ready.
He's dead. Let him rest.
I met John Travolta way back in 2000 at an Airliners Memorabilia Show in El Segundo. Very nice and low key. Seemed like a pretty good guy!
Very cool, thanks for sharing. Which of John's roles appealed to you the most?
Of course one of my favorites was his come back role in Pulp Fiction. Also enjoyed him in White Man's Burden (1996?) At the time of the Memorabilia Show, (January,2000) he'd had his hair cut short as he was doing a movie with Nicole Kidman where he was an On Air Meteorologist
I found him quite approachable, low key.
My Grandma used to work for Lucille Ball back in the day. She was beyond mean and she refused to speak directly to staff.
People who are not jerks: Robert Wagner, Randy mantooth, Dirk Benedict, most "character" actors, especially the ones from the sixties and seventies.
WOW!
Wow
Lucille Ball was banned from at least one airline for her conduct and behavior.
That sounds like Ellen DeG. today! Her crew hates her, calls her the "queen of mean!"
And why isn't Kathy Griffin on the list?
...Too ugly.
This nasty bitch is on everyone's Shit List......That is as good as it gets for her.....
@@guitardzan5641: Because Kathy is not a jerk.

When the cameras are off she treats everyone like they are beneath her
heard same about rachel ray!
That sums up Ellen perfectly!
Met John Cleese, when he was filming Clockwise, at the school I was working at. Got his autograph, he was really nice.
So brilliant, John Cleese. Glad to hear he’s not full of himself.
Who’d she play on Ryan’s Hope? Or tell me something about her character on there & maybe I can help you with her name. I used to watch it years ago.
Might be Kate Mulgrew?
Clarke Griswold could have been played by anybody . Cousin Eddie is what made that movie 😂 Randy Quaid is national Lampoon's Christmas vacation.
Was at a fund raiser in Greenwich, CT about 10 yrs ago. My mother walked up to Chevy Chase and he was rude as hell. His wife was very pleasant. I can't stand him.
Yes, Randy Quaid made those movies funny. After a while, Chase gets to be annoying
I gotta disagree. Despite Chevy being an asshole, he was a comedic genius in the 80's.
I met Bart Starr at a restaurant in WI. Very sweet & approachable. We talked for a few minutes & he offered to send an autographed picture-I got it in the mail about a week later.
Who is Bart Starr ?
I met Bart Simpson. He's not that obnoxious of a kid in real life.
@@PatriciaMoreno-ff8pr The GREEN BAY PACKER quarterback who won the FIRST TWO super bowls.
Heard Theron and Tom Hardy barely got through filming Mad Max because she's such a B
I never like Elton John and I never met him lol. ( ps I'm a gay guy lol)

WHO is this witch named ELLEN ??????
The three NICEST celebrities I met when living in New York;
FRANK SINATRA.
Wow! Those are awesome encounters, Thomas!

Knew about all of them, that Cathy Griffin is one to point the finger.🙄
Cathy Griffin is by far the biggest JERK in Hollywood. She is crude and disgusting and her ugliness comes from the inside out
Cathy Griffin is the queen of mean.
She's downright NASTY (K.G.)
I'm not at all surprised about Lucy. I'll still watch her show. I'm honestly surprised when I hear that any celebrity is a nice person.
I met Joan Rivers in LA right before she did a interview and she was really nice and funny
That amazes me - Joan Rivers had a mouth like an over-sharp razor. But I always found her very witty.

I met the Osmonds when I was a teenager & they were very nice. They talked to everyone, answered questions & signed autographs. That was in about 73 & I was really star stuck then.
Wish I could buy them for what they are worth and sell them for what they think they are worth....
People.
Surprised at Andy Griffith.
@Don Diego Vega, I was surprised at John Ritter and Pat Boone.
I was like WHY IS TOM HANKS ON THE THUMBNAIL?! So I watched the vid and didn’t seen him be named and I was happy again. From what I’ve heard he is a really sweet guy
He is.
