Everyone started as character actors before becoming superstar, in tamil cinema Rajnikanth knows how to reinvent and be part of effective storytelling despite doing the same thing(superstar image) and having the burden of carrying the film on his shoulders. On the other end of spectrum Kamal hassan with his encyclopedia knowledge of cinema. When focus is truly on serving the craft from every actor then naturally respect and bonding follows. Inspite their immense talents and super stardom, they have remained humble and soft spoken all these years. Rajni-kamal duo since the 70s and Vikram since the 90s. The same attitude, tone of voice and behaviour during interviews, when addressing the public etc. These 3 actors are just a small example of a sea of other massively talented kollywood (Tamil movie industry) actors who has remained humble and grounded inspite decades of stardom and star power. Of course there are one or two arrogant ones with bad attitude. Best contemporary example is the formerly most successful Tamil industry comedian Vadivelu (the Tamil industry superstar Rajnikanth requested the director of the movie chandramukhi to specifically cast him for that movie..he was in such high demand at one time) but his sheer arrogance and attitude caused his downfall and he was ultimately blacklisted by the producers council from acting.

The bonding, humility, fluency of language and ideas. Wow. I just want to add that there are many veteran and versatile actors Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Parthiban(great director himself) and great technicians Ravi the cinematographer, Thotta Tharani the art director and endless ADs who will make this epic unique and the Anchor could have spent a few minutes on them and their work in this film.
Yet another proud moment for Indian Cinema is going to unfold soon and many thanks to makers of this movie on one of the important & largest warrier dynasty from South India - The Cholas 🤘🏽 I'll definitely watch it in theatre may be more than once to relish every single frame of this masterpiece 👍🏽 We should be proud of our Indian history and encourage more creators to come up with such projects in the future ☝🏽
7.58 Trisha Smile and grace just Wow! Generally Mahesh babu is considered ageing backwards, but in female category Trisha seems to be on top of totem pole.
Ponniyin Selvan is just a glimpse of Tamil literature(Modern). When people read or watch in a movie in future (my wish) of some gems like Silapathikaram(ancient) to VelPari (Modern) then they know how certain authors are well-versed in blending History into words. I think Ponniyin Selvan success will share some more light to many literary works. Asuran is an adoption of a Novel which becomes great success with non native audiences. And it's best opportunity for Tamil directors to explore this genre of movies
As a student from bengal heard so many about Sangama literature like pattupattu, tolapkkiyam in history classes..u guys will tell it better if these are worthy enough to be made into epic films..
One of the best period movie ever on royal empire ... Too good.... Mughal e azam, padmavat, jodha akbar, bajirao mastaani, Ponniyan selvan, Baahubali, tanhaji .. These are Indian gems
Please guys Ponniyin Selvan characters like Sundara cholan,Ponniyin Selvan, kundavai,Adityakarikalan,Vandiyadevan,Vanathi,Aniruddha brahmarayar,Pazhuvettaiyar,Bodhi vikramakesari are true life characters. They have descriptions of How Cholas created dams, Sculptural Marvel and Ponniyin Selvan's true affection for his people and sticking to justice.Rajaraja Chola is a great King. This book is not completely fictional.Nandini,Poonguzhali are fictional characters. Please do watch the movie and support our nation's history. We have always celebrated Mughals and British in school book. But , it's time to reveal the world about the greater history.
With regards to Sobita's comment on the distinction between shy and coy, I'm glad they've tweaked that in the movie. I thought they would've as soon as I saw Sobita in the trailer and read up on her character.
As Vikram said if anyone reads a book after watching the movie we can imagine these faces in those characters..... I think that wud b easy for us to relate n imagine a character
Somehow I felt Anupama doesn't know much about Vikrams filmography.. he is the biggest star in the group and humble enough to give others the limelight but pls do some research to know the history
Interesting questions that were well answered …. Whatever & how much ever is spoken about Vikram does not equate to the man & actor . He’s just one of the few ‘ Complete actors ‘ that the country has … he’s also an actor with ‘ No haters ‘ .. Apart from being a great actor he’s a greater human being.. Very down to earth, humble, respectful, kind , compassionate, noble , knowledgeable….. It’s sad that of late his films have not been doing well … but he never ever failed as an actor. Wish to see him back with a bang ….

VIKRAM is far senior than anybody else here in this interview. But his passion towards doing a Prince role, always explaining about Karthi's role, Ravi's role about their character's weightage.......THE SAME HE DESERVES To be told by KARTHI And RAVI or TRISHA or SHOBITHA anyone else. Bcoz he's VIKRAM and does the Role ADITHA KARIKALAN. He himself can't explain it bcoz it becomes exaggerating. Don't be so so humble ACTORS Please be like VIKRAM It's a story fictional Only you must make audience know about the weightage of characters Also VIKRAM he's senior and his role has more weightage Please discuss about the real roles of Ponniyin selvan.

Shobita is so well spoken and insightful
Vikram sir❤️
Karthi anna❤️
Jayan Ravi anna❤️
My favourite actors 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Watching this after watching the movie. The attention to detail these stars are talking about here is evident in the output. The insights into the making of the movie are lovely in this interview. The humility of these stars shows too!
Film Companion.. now that’s a pan India interview. Thank you for bringing up the stars from South as well to this platform. It was engaging and refreshing to see them all talking for ravishingly and freely and much confidence. This was grandeur experience. Thanks a lot Anupama ma’am.
Was heartfully smiling...entire interview...thank you..💛💛the affection they have for eachother
Glad you enjoyed it
The bonding, humility, fluency of language and ideas.
Who is pandian🤔
@@shanmugapriyaa6311 Thanks. corrected to Parthiban
Prabhu, Rahman also..
Yet another proud moment for Indian Cinema is going to unfold soon and many thanks to makers of this movie on one of the important & largest warrier dynasty from South India - The Cholas 🤘🏽
I'll definitely watch it in theatre may be more than once to relish every single frame of this masterpiece 👍🏽
We should be proud of our Indian history and encourage more creators to come up with such projects in the future ☝🏽
Trisha is so gorgeous ❤️😊
South actors are humble and not showing off.
Well said bro. I would be more happier if kadal pura is also taken as movie.
As a student from bengal heard so many about Sangama literature like pattupattu, tolapkkiyam in history classes..u guys will tell it better if these are worthy enough to be made into epic films..
Will definitely read hope the book is in English Translation
Ufff sobhita looks gorg n speaks beautifully
One of the best period movie ever on royal empire ... Too good.... Mughal e azam, padmavat, jodha akbar, bajirao mastaani, Ponniyan selvan, Baahubali, tanhaji .. These are Indian gems
Well articulated speakers all them. Their English is clear classy and perfect.
But , it's time to reveal the world about the greater history.
absolutely!
Vikram he is so down to earth though he is the best actor
With regards to Sobita's comment on the distinction between shy and coy, I'm glad they've tweaked that in the movie. I thought they would've as soon as I saw Sobita in the trailer and read up on her character.
As Vikram said if anyone reads a book after watching the movie we can imagine these faces in those characters..... I think that wud b easy for us to relate n imagine a character
Somehow I felt Anupama doesn't know much about Vikrams filmography.. he is the biggest star in the group and humble enough to give others the limelight but pls do some research to know the history
Naah. She started with him, called him Sir. She knows
@@MoreFriesplease and they both are same age 1966 born
I luv Vikram he is a Superstar 🚀👍❤️
Interesting questions that were well answered ….
Whatever & how much ever is spoken about Vikram does not equate to the man & actor .
He’s just one of the few ‘ Complete actors ‘ that the country has … he’s also an actor with ‘ No haters ‘ ..
Apart from being a great actor he’s a greater human being..
Very down to earth, humble, respectful, kind , compassionate, noble , knowledgeable…..
It’s sad that of late his films have not been doing well … but he never ever failed as an actor.
Wish to see him back with a bang ….
Don't worry Vikram sir, you already have enough swag to even outlive you. What a bundle of talent he is. 🙌 Love him ❤
This anchor is one of my favourites. She will not shoot the same repeatative questions to the guests, instead she will blend in with them and converse like a group of friends. Love that!!!❤️👌
She is epitome of bollywood gutter. She wouldn't hv even thought to do this interview 5 years back . Since time of South has come now she is like chalo behti ganga mei hath dhoti hu. 😡
They are interested in the interview which most of the bollywood actors lack today.
All of them r so humble and respectful to each other, love all the south Indian actors. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Karthik has transformed into a more handsome man over the years
The way Trisha speaks ♥️
When a book reader reads
Only after certain chapters only we tend to know who is ponniyin selvan.
Why he was named so.
But now everyone can guess it.
But then too, book has so many things to make us flow in imagination
Books are always>>>> but they require an effort that not everyone can put in
Trisha just seems like leader in and out of the movie. Thalaivi
It's so nice the way, they all support and cherish each others, so lovely especially Trisha the way she talks about other characters are too Gud.......... 💜💜💜💜
Sobhita is extremely well-spoken
Love sobhita. Can't wait for made in heaven season 2! ❤️
"hunted, fought for, bled for love". GOD I LOVE SHOBITA SO MUCH.
10:19 Jayalaithaa Amma!🔥 Her sheer power and will, Iron Butterfly!❤
Trisha is ravishing…
What an Interview ♥️ Waiting so badly to watch it on sunday with whole Family ♥️♥️♥️
Jayam ravi address Vikram.. 'Anna'
That's so cute..
hands down best film companion interview EVER.
Vikrams voice ♥️
It's time Mani sir shows India what PAN India truly means, he has been doing since 1992 Roja. He is not a South Indian director, he is for every Indian
If it's from Maniratnam sir ... it's gonna be fire !!!🔥😭
Don't be so so humble ACTORS
Please be like VIKRAM
It's a story fictional
Only you must make audience know about the weightage of characters
Also VIKRAM he's senior and his role has more weightage
Please discuss about the real roles of Ponniyin selvan.
it's not a fictional story.. it has real history and little fictional
You definitely seem to have missed the part of interview where Karthi was heaping praises on Vikram as Karikalan. Stop trying to pit one against the other
Sorry I took it wrong 👍👍
Vikram just has 16-18 mins of role in the film it would have looked ridiculous had he hogged this interview plus his last hit was 14 years ago
@@rahultiwari-dx8qo I guess you dont know about the film' I '. Plus many are are the watching this film because of him. No one really cares about the others ecxept for aishwarya.
Trisha 🥰🥰😘😘😘😍😍😍
One of the best interviewers ever!🫶👏🏼
Anupama mam always my inspiration
oh my girl Shobitha ❤️
Shobita s description about film was real gem answer
Shobhita 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Telugu ammai
Anupama Chopra..tat was areally a grt work...she almost got to knw evrythng Abt these stars frm thyr interviews given south side ♥️
Sobhita dhulipala came so much so long 🤩
A very nice interview! Thanks Anupama for doing such a wonderful show!
Having multi cast in Bollywood would be a fight in filming set and outdoor. Atleast South are humble and ready to participate and contribute politely.
