Oh my god Faline we chose the same character as our first cosplay (and went to a convention☠️☠️) chainsawman has a decent begginer cosplay friendly character design since its a suit and tie unlike other media (genshin impact-/lh). And the wings smacking everyone accidentally is too relatable, i hope you enjoyed ur anime con as angel devil!

Frr Chainsawman is a really good beginner cosplay my first one was Klee from genshin then I got Shenhe and then Scara. And I'd say from my experience, Scaras was the hardest and most complicated. like he had 4 layers or so 💀 and wig styling just didnt work for me. And I fr dont want to talk about the hat haha... And genshin Cosplays are hella expensive... so, its not beginner friendly. But if someone ever tries to cosplay a genshin character for the first time-.. don't, just don't get an inazuma character cosplay. Trust me. Its hell putting them on cause theyre like Kimonos ( often ). Mondstadt characters are the easiest and simplest. My friend who cosplays raiden said it was hell putting her cosplay on.

As someone who also cosplayed as Angel Devil... The wings were really a bad idea. My gf was Aki and she helped me to protect them, but everytime we had to pass somewhere full of people It was a nightmare. I didn't lost any feather (thank god), but I only used it for one of the three days of the convention (On the other two I went as Madoka and Scaramouche), but I would probably lose some if I used on the three days. Your cosplay is beautiful!

the first cosplay i did was hutao from genshin and it was so FUN. like- getting asked to take pictures with makes me want to swirl my hair and kick my toes around. and people at cosplay cons/anime cons are always so nice, i had a sign out with questions and people gathered around me and actually had a convo with me like we were friends.
one time when i was cosplaying kobo from holo id i had a sign out that had free hugs and another guy also had one. he pointed at me and smiled and went to hug me, it was ADORABLE.
I also want to do hutao cosplay! I've never done one before I have done kokomi tho!

I loved the little message at the end about anyone being able to cosplay!! I am someone who has done just a few and often times I feel a little self conscious since I'm not the skinniest and I don't have a ton of money to put into my costumes, but it's a motivating factor sometimes because then I can show others that you don't have to look a certain way, just how you like!!
I think you seem perfect on doing cosplay. You have everything mostly the hair, you fashion style and your personality fits in the category. You’ll enjoy it. Believe me, most of my Asian friends have been to every convention dressing like Izuku Midoriya, Sakura Haruno and etc. You do what’s best. Faline-san hwaiting 💯👍🫰

I went to my first comic con in October. It was so much fun, but the sensory issues really do take it out of you by the end.
Just giving Faline some VERY late advice and I don’t know if he will see this but when having long hair, brush from the bottom to the top, so you don’t rip the wig hair out from the scalp part,

Oh! Oh! I did my first cosplay last year and it was an amazing experience! (at least for me because I never go out and see people so yeah).
I dressed up as a Mono from Little Nightmares mainly because no matter my age, I still look like a little kid so I wanted to take my height as an advantage.
People even asked me for photos and I was very nervous and happy, it was so much fun!
I met new people and friends, highly recommended!
I finally started cosplaying, sadly I don’t have anywhere to wear it yet. It’s just been me running around my room for like an hour dressed like a fictional character.

14:00 fun fact this kinda happened to a friend of mine he was in a ms hina maid dress cosplay and while driving home he hit a railing he wasnt injured or was the car seriously damaged but he had to go to a police station cuz someone reported him or something he went in the police station IN THE FULL COSPLAY then after a while he went out to take most of it off.

I heard a tip from cosplayers to stretch your wig caps before putting them on so it will not push on your skull that it will cause a headache
You can stretch them by strecthing them on a gaming chair XD

Edit: You can use bobby pins and slide it on the wig cap so when you put on the wig it won’t slide off as much!

I went out in full hu tao, and holy moly the pigtails getting tangled and trying to fall off.. the hat hanging on 😭 the most akward bit for me was like walking out my house for 10 seconds to the car, going through a tunnel and the guys working the thing turned to our car and just stared into the car with utter confusion. We walked to mcdonalds mid way through and had about 3 cars honk at us i have no idea what their thoughts behind that were but hey there were random spidermen in their and cosplaying is fr a big ego boost when people take pictures

this made me miss cosplay like no other- i used to go to almost every convention in my city for around 2-3 years before the pandemic hit, n while i also 100% get the sensory issues (taking a wig off is the best feeling EVER i swear), going to cons cosplaying a chara you like n meeting people who want to take pictures made up the bulk of the serotonin i had 🥲 this made me want to buy tickets for the next con and shop for wigs and contacts again

When you took the wig off I could practically FEEL the pain. I’m a ballet dancer, and those ballet buns we wear are SO STIFF covered in so much hairspray and pins and whatnot. I can barely dance properly with my head spinning. When you finally take them out, it’s like all your stress flows away
nijisan was awesome ^-^ there were so many cosplayers there, pro tip with wearing wigs, if theyre adjustable make sure youre not too small, also use boby pins to PIN the wig to your head so it doesnt move, its gonna feel much better to wear it that way since it will feel more like attached to your head cause it will be, and that should cause less iritation and anxiety that the wig might fall off,
