I'm jealous! Made one good one out of a 1960 and a '62. Both buried to the axles when found. Drove it for years, then sold it for double what I had invested.
Congratulations! I always loved the simplicity and yet the evolution over the years of the air cooled VW. My folks had a couple of them when they first got married.
That looks like VW heaven! I love the red one, and would love to do the clutch on that one :) The Baja idea is a good one. My dad had a '57 Baja when I was growing up. We did a bunch to it, with racing seats, larger tires/mags, fresh paint, different steering wheel, etc. That was a daily driver for a long time, and good and loud, of course :) You found the treasure trove, for sure. Good job!
Personally I've never been into the supers. Not into the strut front ends or the shift servo stuff. But awesome find. That's like finding a gold mine. Digging the red one. Love the wide 5 setup. Good find! If you start to sell Birdie, let me know.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs Better not push the envelope lol . I looked at it yesterday on my home, lots of parts and lots of work for someone willing to take on this project. Anyway , I think a auto transmission in a Bug would be cool , always wanted one myself .
I love VW Bugs. This video was awesome. That place looks fun with all those bugs and parts.
I am excited for all the future projects
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairsI am too.
Holy guacamole! You hit the lottery...the Beetle lottery. 😊
I know, I think Jenn will be happy when I finish all these projects up--- Then I will have to find more to do

That is a good return on your investment.

@gregbarnett3141- my parents had one as well at that age. They are some fun cars that bring lots of memories
I want to make a Baja at somepoint, this might be the time
Great find for sure!! You'll be busy for a while....😋
You got that right!
The Beetle’s were great in snow! But the heater wasn’t the best in em.
What heat- I am amazed that the heat on them is so bad considering they were made in Germany
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs LOL!
Great compared to an MG of the same era.
Great buy! No doubt, gotta do a Baja bug. I’d love to have one. Congratulations.
That is the plan, I have to finish a few project first- My wife tends to get mad when I have 100 projects in one form or another
