I had flown in the older 'Wunala' themed B7474 back in late 1996 Nov/Dec from Kai Tak (Hong Kong) to Sydney just before Honk Kong was given back to the Chinese by the Brits. I distinctly remember the relatively smaller but considerably more powerful Rolls Royce Engines thundering away on the take-off. I was located a 7-10 rows ahead of the last row starboard, the seats use to have blue fabric upholstery, it was a chilling evening take-off with drizzle and there were around 100-150 pax on board the 400+ seat aircraft so it was free-seating in economy though I remember the premium seats were nearly all occupied. In sydney, they parked at the aerobridge but it had some issues, so we had to use the stairs and I remember the Captain intercomming to have us watch our heads. It was fun, while it lasted.
Awesome collection! Love this video and of course the Wunala Dreaming 747s! I grew up watching them fly over my home inbound to LAX! "That must be the biggest reddest airplane I've seen!" awesome ATC!!
Love that shot on 08:52 as she passes the BA 'Water Dreaming' tail fin! Great to see this this plane in action, a true masterpiece of work! If the 747 is anything like the 707 video then it too will be one to treasure. I refer to your 2 part 707 video time and time again when I need to see one of these classics. I look forward to seeing the finished project, you are (and of course don't need to ask) if you need any of my footage, I remember you were quite fond of my Thai Retro-jet! Good to see you uploading again....
No problem, tell me do you have any footage of the Lan Chile 747 EI-BED in full scheme?? There is the bizarre Lan Lingus scheme on UA-cam but nothing in the full c/s.. I must admit I too am working on a large project, all my photos from 1985-2010 are being digitalized, I hope to cherry pick the best for YT videos.. One outstanding one is the LAN CHILE 747 full scheme at the 'row on New years day '89! If only I was filming back then, instead I had a bonafide East German Praktica SLR!
Haha...totally know you're feeling re:East German Praktica SLR - I think the only place footage of EI-BED exist in the vault of one (or all) of the local tv stations in Santiago. I guarantee it's nicely tucked away on a shelf somewhere never to see the light of day...that is until I get my grubby paws on it! And make no mistake, that is high on my list of priorities..unfortunately it will not make the 747 Series cut off. In other news, there appears to be a 707 part 3 video, some new footage has been acquired and it NEEDS to be seen by all 707 fans worldwide!
Holly Molly you did an awesome job filming these beautiful Aircraft :) RR sound good on takeoff however to me the GE Engines have a more louder tone on taxi and especially when you recorded it taxiing right in front of you was mind blowing 10/10 for this did you ever get to film Nalanji Dreaming?
Hey thanks, love your stuff too..been watching yours for quite sometime. Yes, I've some good Nalanji footage at SYD. If you mean 'steal', oh my friend how lucky you are to not have to go through this ...yet!Just ask MrFlashjet, Linjeflyg, Settime2345 and several other victims of video theft. You haave no ideaof how lame and/or desperate some people across the globe who are chasing YT view-count dollars byclipping the vids of others and re-posting them as if the are the videographers - right now the Brits aregetting hit hard by the thieves! Even Professional Media channels have stolen some Linjeflyg's work!So yes, it's like many people will steal your work..give it time, they'll sting you too my friend!
Starboard76 Hence why I removed it because I have seen it happen to a few of my friends :(( so I complete understand. I also like the Frodo and Aragon 747 of Air New Zealand you caught get Manny of them? And you're extremely lucky to have seen Nalanji Dreaming will you by any chance be uploading footage of that 😊😊✈✈ thank you once again
Recently Qantas painted one of its new 787 Dreamliners in a special livery based on a painting called "Yam Dreaming" by Emily Kame Kngwarreye, an aboriginal artist from Northern Territory, Australia. Here's a link to that article: qantasnewsroom.com.au/media-releases/qantas-welcomes-home-its-newest-dreamliner-with-indigenous-livery/
I reckon she's the most beautiful aircraft on the planet.

My last 747 flight was KL601.
78A on the upper deck of PH-BFN.
The same that operated the last KL785
I shed a tear at the gate im AMS
the british airways with the colored tail were dope too
the best scheme ever on a 747 with Tropical on SIA's 747.
