Personally, I think cracked, as well as combo chain in general, were originally added to appease the pizza tower fans to an extent, but since combo chain and cracked weren’t really priorities, the level and boss design didn’t really account for cracked as an actual goal, resulting in the inconsistent quality of the cracking experience. That’s just speculation though. I could be completely wrong.
You know, when antonblast first came out, I thought “hm can’t wait for someone to mod in p-ranks and lap 3s or something like that” Little did I know…there was a p-rank. Where hit guy superbooglet was shot 47 times.
so here’s a crazy story related to this blasted game a streamer friend of mine was live when an actual artist from the dev team decided to show up in stream chat! my blasted brain can’t remember their name but i do remember that they are responsible for ring-a-ding and satan’s final phase a couple highlights were how excited they got over the murderous goldfish and dj, how they were surprised a glitch in the greenhouse stage occurred where a maneater plant ate another one that was slightly overlapping it, and how when i asked who decided to make the backrooms level, i was told it was literally just the main dev who went and made that level by themself honestly gotta be one of the best stream moments of all time, that and the fact dynamite anton was also in chat
I think the only reason they added the combo chain is because people were "p ranking" boiler city in the dynamite demo I also think why cinnamon springs is hard is because it was impossible to do it in the dynamite demo so they kept it really hard
Kudos on fully completing this monster of a game! I completely agree that it feels like the CRACKED ranks for the bosses weren't playtested at all. The length of Ring-a-Ding and Satan's fights are the one thing that makes me never want to get CRACKED ranks on them, which sucks because I loved doing no damage boss runs for Pizza Tower and I was able to get CRACKED on every boss up to Maulbuster, who was already pushing it for sheer tedium I think the one thing that would've made it more bearable (outside of skipping the long cutscenes) would've been to have each checkpoint save your damage progress, so if you no-hit the previous phases you don't have to redo the whole fight if you mess up. The way I see it, if you're the kind of player who can get past phase 1 without taking damage you're most likely able to do it again without much issue since you likely have a lot of practice on those earlier parts anyways And speaking of Maulbuster, I don't know if this helps but I found that the enemies spawn in somewhat predictable patterns and once enough of them are on screen, no more enemies will spawn in until you clear them out. What this means is that you can keep the Ballbusters (small pointy hat dudes) alive and sort of kite them around the arena, which gives you much more breathing room to dodge the speech bubbles
Your only missing 1 spary can wich will be out in the boss rush update so until then you have beaten 99,99% of the game. Wich is still impressive, good job man.

I've already raised my opinion about this game, and now I can express it again. In general, my opinion about the difficult and balancing of this game has not increased (but rather only worsened). I got used to this game and even fell in love with the music to some extent. But still, my score increased by only 1 point (i mean 6/10)
True, some levels and bosses are really huge difficulty spikes and trying to go for the optional stuff (unlike in Pizza Tower) just feel infuriating instead of fun. In my opinion, just buy Pizza Tower and buy the OST for Anton Blast. That's it.
Fun fact about the final boss! In the attack where Satan jumps into the air and slams into the ground, if you use exclusively ground clutch boosts you can 1 phase him
With all due respect, no matter how well anyone explains the details of reaching 100% on this game, there will never, *NEVER*, be an accurate representation of the amount of psychological pain the game makes you go through, ESPECIALLY the last percent. I only needed to buy 5 more spray cans and unlock the last Paul, and none of those are doable. And I'm mostly talking about Paul. And I gave up. My effort was for nothing. All I got was 99%.
by the way there is a really good mod called jam vs pizza tower it's really well made and the noise is replaced with chuck and peppino is replaced with jam and all the other bosses are remade too and I think you will like it a lot
Although it seems Antonblast is really REALLY hard (I say that because I haven’t bought it yet lol), the Sonic games also have some brutal challenges. For the modern games, it’s S rank-ing Metal Overlord on hard mode in Shadow Generations. It is so unimaginably brutal. You need to play Perfectly while on the loose turning controls of the Doom Surf. The 2D games have one harder imo. The final boss of Trips Story. It has MULTIPLE attacks that one shot you. Sonic Superstars is generally harder than other classic games, the regular final boss was already really difficult.
i am one of those people who 100% antonblast, and it took me less then 40 hours. so i have bragging rights, and for my first cracked rank i did hell manor
I understand a lot of people does not finish this game, he is surprisingly amazing but my god, the last level and boss both took me near 40 minutes of non stop try hard... 1 hour 20 on 7 and half hours to beat the game for the first time.
I'm so sad no one likes pinball mire lol it was my favorite level when I first played it (for the music mostly but the pinball section was super fun IMO )
A few players myself included enjoyed Pinball Mire. It became more manageable as soon as they added launchers to easily get the spray can in combo chain mode.
Fun fact: You can actually use Paul to complete Skeletons In The Closet more easily. Since this dude has no speed limit for his clutch move, it makes this challenge so much easier... And yeah, this game is amazing... I love it ;)
Aight I'ma use this video as a guide for 100% completion. Half jokes asides, I feel like the difficulty of this game is on par with Pizza Tower Lap 5. And I've been craving that difficulty for a while, since Lap 5 Lunacy is a bit too much.
@@Aldo-j5y it's an upcoming thing in the game. there are a few unused rooms in the files which are the lime trials such as, "lime's a beach", "juns sewer slop time" and "distiled hill". there is a bunch of lime ( the fruit ) in the levels that you have to collect under a time limit, they are gonna be finished soon!
Here's a tip for you people out there wanting to get Cracked on a level. If you are dying constantly because of the three heart cap and not the combo itself (like me) DO NOT buy the king/gold beet temporary health boost item from the shop because if you get a successful attempt with it on, then you won't get Cracked even though you did all the requirements for it. I learned this the hard way many... MANY times. So die so you can lose it and get good cause king beets are not welcome in the Cracked Hall
