Thanks Alvin, The wife and I are going to Hilton Head at the end of the month. I will twist some of these up! If you have any advice shoot it my way if you have time. Thanks for all you do👍 PS. It will be Red Fish ☕️☕️
I think to many people go way into detail with their flies and that’s fine bc it is an art form as well. But when u just wanna catch some fish being simple does the trick. Great tie!
Alvin.... That's a nice pattern ... I fish out of North central Florida.... I fish both coast and fresh water.... The pattern is very similar to one I tie.. The only difference is that I use buck tail in olive in stead of fiber.... And my buddy who's always throwing this pattern calls it the green Frankenstein... Due to the vicious hits. I also tie this with a pink buck tail to look like a shrimp for beach fishing in shallow and clear waters.... Phillipe the pirate 🏴☠️
Alvin... Like your simple fly tie... But instead of using fiber for the body .. How about using some Marabou??? Irish the west coast of Florida.. And it looks good for Snook too... Phillipe...
Hey man i saw another video and meant to comment about your cup holders. Check out Kroozies they make stainless cup holders that mount on any angle bar. So they can go on the polling platform or the front casting platform
Peacock is a great material, I am sure that fly would work on bass and chain pickerel... Maybe a little black or peacock flash for the pickerel ... You should name it after your wife
@@AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing I had to Google it. Started in 85 and disbanded in 2010. I was more rock & roll, but our roommate in 89 listened to them a lot, good mellow music. I think it’s awesome you were in Bad Mutha Goose! I never saw y’all but heard about you during my Austin music scene years. 🙂👍 🎶
Pretty simple, but they love it!
Great idea on wrapping the peacock hurl!
Thank you! 😊
Im sure you are going to be the next bob clouser. Your flies are always so simple and effective and easy to tie
Wow, thanks Bob is a pretty awesome guy.
Thanks for not overthinking your flies. Not much that can go wrong with that recipe and it looks like it’ll crush ‘em all day.
Thank you!
Love the guide flies
Nice, simple tie. Similar to a Crazy Charlie . I'd call it the Crazy ( or Lazy) Alvin.
Ha ha, good one!
Pretty much an oversized Crazie Charlie like we use for bonefish. Still, the best flies are the simplest ones. Thanks for sharing.
And we shall name him the Redfish Fuzzy Wuzzy
Love the wrapping the thread in the herl, GREAT idea!!! All it needs is a weed guard for fishing the grass here in SC!!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thanks Alvin,

What’s your leader recipe for throwing this fly on 8wt line?
Call it Crazy Carlos
I like it!
The GO To Getter is what I’d call it, great fly I hate glue and head cement too
A lot less mess!
Instead of crazy Charlie… call it the crazy Alvin 😅
Call it the deaux goose.
