Perfect concise guide that sums up exactly what you need to hear. The other guides are correct in the sense that, if Blizzard fixes the bugs in the mechanics, then you'll have to do it the "hard way".
I'm going to use your guide so that I can get that freaking weapon for a friend with a disability in his left hand that makes him unable to "be quick on the buttons".
Fantastic guide, best I have seen and worked on with ease. The tree strat still works as of today Jan.14/2020.
I tried it today 6/20/20 and it didn't work properly. You have to run further up the tree, and he stays too close to get shots off.

Great guide for folks that want to complete the quest asap, especially on high population servers. So many people are blinded by the purples they don't slow down and enjoy this unique quest. I understand the desire for the weapons since they're hugely powerful, but I enjoyed doing these guys "as intended" they really aren't hard.

Whelp, your guide was better than most at helping me find Artorius. But I still had to look at your minimap, and find the same spot to find him. The link you gave for his route was BS. It did show the upper circle, which is his actual route, but I have no idea what that long southern leg is. Maybe the kiting route? Anyway here is the info I gleaned so far from scouting the area for a couple of hours.
Where to find Artorius. Coord 58.4 X 20.6 Y is his southern most point before he turns back north. There’s a large flat rock a few yards south of this, that if you sit on it and look north, you’ll see him coming south to that point. The flat rock is a fairly safe spot, where nearby mobs won’t agro on you except one bear I had to deal with from time to time. Artorius route goes in a circle. The northern most point is near two Horde PVP NPC’s. He takes eight minutes to do the circle. Killing nearby mobs to clear a kiting route, it takes the mobs at least 15 min to respawn. If Artorius takes longer, it’s likely because another Hunter has accosted him elsewhere along his route. The place on the road I found to go off the trail to head to the spot has two rock pillars and is at coord 53.7 X 25.2 Y.
Edit: 6/24/2020. I'm still no closer to getting these epic weapons. IMO, only the very best hunters will ever be able to do this questline on their own. Are all the other classes epic questlines as difficult? Unless you are highly skilled and have a TON of patience, you'll be better off paying a skilled hunter to kill the demons for you.

Does the tree glitch not work anymore ?
I'm a tauren and when i tried the tree strat, he could still hit me on the tree, i had to go basically to the top of the tree before he pathed around, but then it was hard to attack him and keep the cycle going, cuz i was busy running back down the tree. Duno if it's been hotfixed or if it's just that good old tauren hit box but ye.
In the end I used the tree strat successfully, there is a tiny portion of the lower branch that will force him to path (left side towards the hill, just before it starts getting steeper), once he has pathed u just have to be conservative... keep him on that tree, dont get damage hungry and be safe. If he is getting off then immediately use scorpid to knock off his enrage and run up the tree to reset him and get him pathing up the tree again. There definitely was some weird hitbox stuff going on, was with a troll who did it first then watched me and confirmed, it all looked wrong, was being hit in places where he was safe, had to stand further away from the tree when off it, which meant i had to jump off earlier when on it, and even when on the very top of the tree with the mob pathing under, he could hit me through the tree (was weird cuz he kept pathing, just hit me on the way) but when i was ultra safe it was very easy in the end.
TBH what i found is this strat is exactly the same for Tauren as any other race just ur margins are much smaller. At first I thought it might be impossible as a Tauren but as i said, after some trouble shooting and watching somebody else do it, it's not much harder, u just basically have to be perfect (which might sound intimidating but honestly what ur doing isnt that hard to be perfect at).

Tree strat still works, don't let the boss come to close to you so jump on and off more often, i believe taurens have bigger hit boxe due to its size same as gnomes with smaller hit box due to size,

I noticed the same problem with my Troll hunter. I guess it's safest to keep him Scorpid stung so he does minimal damage while he runs past you, or go a little higher up the branch.

I just can't do the first fight, alway manage to get into his rage or him reseting because of removing my dots.
1. Easiest way is to get a hunter who already did it to kill it for you. You just have to start it for him. (FFA LOOT/GROUP) 2. Silithus demon. Use a shadow pot to absorb his damage and just do the wingclip/shoot to death. Yes he'll do a small fear, but you recover quickly and just continue. 3 wingclip/shooting kills him. winterspring - kite him to road and head to town path. Max Serpent sting and arcane shot 1. Concussive when he gets close or scatter in emergecy. Once he gets low he slows down so it's easier to autoshoot him down. Ungoro - The pet no longer despawn after you kill him. You can kite both of them and LOS her lightning. I just killed the pet first (trap her) then when the pet died. i then kite her around...VERY EASY KITE... just get out of range or LOS. I used a big tree and just ran in circles. Burning Steps - Tauren is too big, but any other class can use the fallen tree and just kite him via pathing. Jump on tree/jump off and just dps him down... VERY EASY. let me know if you have any trouble and I can walk you more through it. Demon slaying enchant, demon elixir, greater mana pots, mongoose, agility elixir will help with faster kills. (Demon Slayer Oneginchat on Rattlegore) 1 shot service or your money back! :D
Just awesome! Still works in Jan 2020. Make sure to make damage in the beginning of the fight til you reach the tree!

@Adrian Wilson female orc hunter. Used aspect of the cheetah. Worked fine, no joke/troll.
Try a deviate savoury delight for your hit box and maybe run up the log abit more to ensure he runs round. It's 100% working

Good guide! You don't need a warlock for Silithus though! Just watch a vid where he is cheeseable similar to the tree thing! It's so muich easier! So, you talk with him at a different spot than in this video.
Why do you say viper sting will silence Simone? Viper sting drains mana, it does not have silence. Is there a talent or something I'm missing here?
These demons have special interactions with your abilities.
I jump up on the tree and he walks up to me and melee's me twice and I die. For some reason he won't path up the tree for me.
Walk higher on the tree, mob AI is always the same in wow, it will be forced to path around. If you stand on the lowest part touching the ground ofc he will melee you 😁
Dude what kind of gear do you have? This strat for Un'goro didn't work for me in the slightest in 3 piece gs / bunch of preraid bis....

Definitely buy leaf. Onyxia is easier to successfully pug and it's a 5 day reset (MC is 7 day reset). Also often times if you have leaf and Sinew drops and another hunter doesn't have leaf, you'd get priority from most groups. Very high drop rate and easy to do Ony every 5 days!
note to self: if you kill Simone and then Feign Death BEFORE killing the dog....the corpse will despawn, so make sure you loot her before playing dead. >.

Does the tree not work for any other Taurens? I've seen Night Elfs complete it no problem. I cannot get him to redirect.
some people say because of the tauren hit box, it doesn't work. Just take a Noggenfogger or Savory Deviate and you can do it.

It might be the exact spot you're walking on the tree tip, if you're too low to the ground he'll swing at you. I've had people report the trick working just this week so it definitely still works. I didn't have any issue with it but it seems there are parts of the tree tip that might make it not work right. Try going higher up on the tree I think.

Yes, you cannot get help. People can grief you on this quest but if they're griefing they can be banned if you report :)

winterspring and ungoro down, less than 24hrs played at 60. i had trouble with ungoro so had to just do serpent sting and r1 arcane kiting, with a few multishots
and 1 shot burning steppes, 22 hrs 34mins played at 60 lul
How did u do silithus also any tips for fresh 60 at ungoro seductress ? If I melee her then she beats me
@@goldenmemes51 kited the demon around the pillars and ledges at the ruins down in silithus by his path.
@@goldenmemes51 for ungoro, trap pet and serpent sting r1 arcane shot kite the boss. seductress was at 30%ish by the time pet caught me, so scattered the pet and got boss to 20 or so %. switched to aspect of the wild, popped deterrance, and finished with melee

Sorry I always just throw random EpidemicSounds tracks in my vids typically, I'm too lazy to track the names and post them usually. I'll try to be better about that but usually I don't like taking the time to do that :P Sadly I don't know the music names just by listening to them ;_;
Too many holes in the solenor strat. You cannot hold curses after a warlock duels you. Once the duel ends, the curses drop in the current version of the game. PPl also talk about multi and explosive for the scarabs because while they move slowly, they hit like a truck. And if you're being feared into them, even with the clip, you will die.
"Holes" in the strat? I did it easily with this strat, and so have many others.
You don't end the duel, the duel keeps going while you fight the demon, as clearly shown in the video lmao.
As you can plainly see in the video, the bugs never touched me and it was super easy. Why would you intentionally end the duel to drop your debuff? The only holes are in your logic :)

weird thing happened to me. Started the fight with simone and once the pet got out of range he returned to the spawn point but she didnt, making it a very easy fight.

Tree trick on Kilifran does not work. He hits from the ground. Tried it multiple times, same result.
You're standing too far down the tree. It definitely works as you can plainly see in the video, it's not an editing trick lol.
If you stand at the very tip of the tree you're basically touching the ground, move 1 yard further up the tree.
Worked for me yesterday.. and a guild mate this morning so its still working. There are 2 trees, one on the back side of the hill and one near road where he does it, by the crater. I tried it on the back tree and it did not work at all. I practiced jumping on the tree a few times and it was super easy.. didnt even use the sting. I have all done but WinterSpring and it sucks on my server with WPVP and all the adds keep re spawning

It sure does, someone just completed it 3 days ago and commented it works :) It's 15 year old content they definitely didn't patch it after 15 years. You're probably standing slightly too far down the tip of the tree.
Also had someone whisper me last night "thanks! The tree cheese worked perfectly"
I just had success this morning though it took a while. Need to jump onto to the specific spot of the tree for it to work and just strafe-jump the fight. Be it know his pathing gets screwed up some times so you'll have to run up the tree to bring him back around

It's right along the road in that general area where the demon is, you'll see it pretty easily along the road :)
Tree trick did not work, no pathing bug..
It's not a pathing bug, it's how blizzard AI pathing is programmed - that's how WoW AI has always worked. You're not going high enough up the tree and are probably playing a tauren with a larger hit box.
If you stand at the base of the tip touching the ground, the mob can hit you - if you go up higher where it can't hit from the ground it HAS to path, blizzard AI is programmed that way. Not a bug.
that BS tree tactic! Need to try that.. I kited him to redridge in the early morning but was unable to loot him after. Pissed me so much I let this one for later. thx your tip.
other tips:
As for the ungoro dog I used magic dust from westfall elementals which gives you enough time to kill the bitch.
For silithus one you either have a lock or great shadow resist potion. Though if you dont have a lock you may get feared to bugs which basicly kills you. Get a lock!

Other hunters can kill it for you, but only 1 person can loot it at a time. There's only 1 demon head per demon kill.

It does work, I did it today. You have to jump on the correct part of the tree. If you are on the very beginning of it he will still melee you

Hmmm that's unfortunate, is your gear weaksauce? You don't ahve to melee her at all, you can just slowly kill her at range but with the AP debuff you might run oom at some point if your gear sucks

I didn't use nature aura however. But even without missing a single interrupt she still melees me.
@@Lodorn If she's melee'ing you just wing clip her and keep kiting, the aura will help with her nature dmg and you can save some mana if you want for dmg instead of draining. Idk I messed up a few times and still felt really safe :D Could always resort to nature resist pots if needed but don't think you'll need that.
She died when i started kiting in gepard and later transitioning into your tactic after the pet caught up.
The burning steppes demon just hits me from below when i jump on the tree. At that point someone helped...
I think ill try again tomorrow, it's getting late for me. ^^ That will be the last one, should be rather easy.
edit: I tried with a regular mob before logging of... it seems i stayed too far out on the tip where mobs can reach you. And because the demon enraged in that moment i paniced instead of just trying to run higher up the tree x).
Let that be a lesson for other hunters who attempt to cheese the tree...

The spec doesn't really matter, you can do a MM pve or MM/Surv pvp spec. I was 7/31/13 at the time.

There is a way to pull her without her pet. Just pull her pet with your back (simone must be behind) and turn 180 degrees and walk straight until her pet resets. you will notice that her pet resets like half a second earlier. if u time it right and attack her as soon as her pet resets you can fight her alone. I used a stopwatch and the right timing was 10 sec for me
can you elaborate on this method? What do you mean 10 sec? From which point? Curious to try!
@@chrismann970 ye I did it that way. :D 10 sec beginning with the pet noticing you (dont attack it, just walk into his aggro range and turn as soon as he runs to you) and ending with your auto attack on simone (already travelled). maybe you have to try out a bit to get the right timing, but it's not toooo hard. just try 10 sec first. GL!

It's likely because you jumped on the branch at the lowest point of the tip where the mob can still path to you just barely. Try going up the tree just a little further so he has to path all the way around :) Many people reported in the comments as recently as last week that it still works. I promise Blizzard didn't hotfix this 15 year old trick :)
This is the most brutal Hunter questline I've ever seen. I mean, I came to classic to be challenged, but this much? It's insane. Some sadist at Blizz came up with this BS no doubt. I'm a hunter, I rely on my pet, but can't use it here. I relied on my guildies to help me get all my great dungeon gear, but they can't help me either (unless I pay some other skilled hunter to kill the demons for me that is). This is the most BS questline ever. I guess I suck as a Hunter, because none of these guides work for me at all. Tree trick? Kinda works. I had to use Cheeta to even have enough speed to get to it, then it does work, if you're up it a bit further, then jumping down is great, the demon does indeed go back to the stump end, but getting back on the tree yourself is an exercise in frustration, if you miss even once, and fall down, or fall off the other side, the demon gets to you and kills you. Trying to get back up on the tree is a huge pain. After six deaths and swearing like a sailor the whole time, I said fuck it. Then I tried the other 'normal' plan and failed at that too, I just can't get the hang of it. Then I tried the Winterspring Demon. I got good at strafe kiting mobs from that spot, almost all the way to Everlook, with np. But that damn demon, if he gets within 30 yards of you, the fight is over. Hours of frustration, and swearing at the game and Blizz and I said fuck that one too. I'm not even going to try the others. This is the kind of shit that causes ppl to dump the game in frustration. I suppose I'll have to resort to paying another hunter to kill the demons for me, thanks Blizz 0_o
This would not work if you didn't have the gear you did. Like at all.
3 piece giantstalker and full blues is not a lot of gear. Are you telling me you're getting your Leaf before you've gotten dungeon blues/prebis items? If you're struggling it's because you're just not good at controlling your character, sorry. You don't need a single epic piece to do this.
for everyone who is doing it in 2020 ^^ and you are a fresh 60 or bad geared hunter. for the ungoro demon i would kill the dog. he was hitting hard for me.ice trap .. open on dog with aimed, slow= the sucu is running in trap and now slow auto shot dot the dog until he dies. after this you can easy solo her. scater her into bandage and kill her slowly. only used mana pots.
rest of the demon i did how he showed us to kill them. happy hunting
I appreciate you sharing this info to help others, although I wasn't super geared when I did this, had a few pieces of T1. If you have even a little bit of Pre-BiS items it should still be easy, but if you're fresh 60 with really bad gear from leveling and haven't farmed Pre-BiS yet (and got lucky to get leaf on first lvl 60 pug or something) then perhaps it's much harder :P

yeh im having this issue as well even at constant max range im getting hit.
@@veddyveng I did it without improved aspect - you need to keep using concussive shot and just barely getting in range for one auto shot when he's slowed down. Other than that you just can serpent sting and runaway.
U do a bad job at showing where to find the mobs.
That's weird cause I provided everything necessary to find them and no one else complains about it. Perhaps you're the problem? :)
Click the wowhead links, it's the easiest thing in the world to google it yourself but I went so far as to provide the links and you somehow still missed it xD

Turns out, PS overtuned this a bit lol.
Don't let this guide fool you.. he makes it look easy, this shit is NOT easy. Simone, the "Easiest" is actually difficult. Shes a long fight and you get whittled down slowly either going oom or just having your health chipped away. Or because it's so long, someone comes a long and screws it up. Artorius, the Winterspring one, he said "easy" while fighting it.. he is by far the HARDEST of them all. If I am not at max range at all times I get debuffed into the demon and die.
Hard for you doesn't mean hard for everyone ;) I'm not "fooling" anyone because I show how easy it is in the video, I'm not asking anyone to take my word for it, you can see it with your own eyes. Maybe your character control is really bad?
This guys guide for the silithus boss is bullshit underated. You 100% need a shadow resist potion, lock stone and most likely a health pot if your gear is not t2. The shadow dmg from the Silithus boss is huge on lower geared players. Otherwise the guide is correct.
That's weird considering not only was my gear not T2, but it was like 4/8 T1 at the time with the rest being blue gear. How can you say you require T2 when you can clearly see in the video I did not?

I love how this guys makes it seem like its super easy to do everything. Then I came in with some greens, and mostly blues thinking same and no the felhunter does not do barely any damage lol.
Idk he never really threatened me while kiting him, he'll get a few bites but if you wing clip him and kite it should be just fine! Having fresh leveling gear if you just hit 60 is going to make everything harder, I'd assume most people who got a leaf would have at least a few pre-bis pieces by then. If not, get slightly better gear I guess.
I wasn't even very geared when I did it, some pre-bis and like 3-4 giantstalker and yeah if you straight up tank the felhunter he hurts but if you wing clip him and kite he'll barely do anything.

I did it in mostly greens and AV gear, my melee weapon was some level 40's green, I killed the pet because I couldn't do enough damage to kill her before I'm dead, once the pet is dead you can take as long as you want as she does very little damage.
Tree trick still works just finished doing it. The trick to him not running away is you have to keep shooting him consistently and I found I had to move around a bit on the tree to keep him from getting to me.
Dude i got Zinrohk, destroyer of worlds at lvl 59....do i even use the staff from this in pvp or is Zin better? I wanted to use the green glow staff idk why i love it 😂😭
I'd say zin'rohk is probably better for pvp due to really yuge raptor strikes, it's a budget ashkandi as far as stats go but it's close enough in stats, and the 3.8 speed makes it hit about as hard.

Sick guide ! I did everything like you said except simone who isn't as easy as you say with pre raid gear. I kite her around the lake, just run when she cast, throw grenade at the dog if it is getting too close. Thanks for the tree trick, people were watching me in disbelief when they saw how easy it is.

Confirmed that the tree trick still does work, but it may not work where his character is standing. I had to stand a little closer to the end of the tree on my male orc than the video author did.
to note, if you are able to trap the pet and get out of range kiting her, it will despawn! easy mode
Tree strat still works as of 07/18/2020, super useful and made the fight a cakewalk
