It's amazing what just a little paint can do to make an older machine look better. Not sur if the double cardan style joint on those front axle shafts are like the double joint on Dodge front driveshafts but the ones on the pickups are a turd to do because of the ball socket in the middle. Looking forward to the stickers, will be cool to see them!
Just before painting take the ACC torch and heat between each stud to break that rust weld that forms over time. Just right between them and it will let go. I have won over many a loader wheel with great success.
Hi Kevin. I buy my paint from the Case dealer. Its Case paint and seems to be high quality stuff. Thanks for commenting and watching. Good luck with your 580K. I love mine.
Any chance you can either send me a couple pictures or video of the door glass that swings open? Mine were missing and got a new one but can't figure out if there's rubber stops to keep the glass from smashing or is it some kind of seal
Wow look at that wheel rim lip, lost 4 wheel studs we must ask you Randy? Did you get into a police pursuit with that tracker wheel LOL. That tractor by CASE is a 4 x 4? interesting as we are learning always. 104 degrees, that is California desert temperatures. Nice share, Lance & Patrick.
@@JourneymanRandy No break here 6 weeks off UA-cam and the reason begins this evening with Shop Adventures 37 covering some highlights from the spindle rebuilding and the shared announcement about our milling machine and its factory secret all shared tonight. We then begin releasing 9 videos, educational ones about precision machine spindle rebuilding step by step in great detail Randy. They will come out over the coming 2 weeks all completed, more highlights also coming in the coming Monday night Shop Adventures 38 show about spindle rebuilding for that week that follows. What a project with tough effort (showing off our decades of skills here, oh lord) for us and you know what we loved every minute of this project so enjoy some part or all we are thankful to have you in our lives Randy really we are. Lance & Patrick.

Our old plow trucks had front driveshafts with this set up and it's so long ago I can't remember but I do recall it being tricky to do.
