DETAILS:
Deputies were called to an apartment for a Domestic Violence situation which turned into a “Hostage Situation”. The male was armed and reportedly on Meth, and was threatening to kill both his girlfriend and her adult daughter.
The Deputies started evacuating the apartment complex. The residents were sent to the Spring Valley Community Church and were met there by the American Red Cross. After approx. 1 hour, the suspect let the daughter of his girlfriend go and then approx 15 minutes later released his girlfriend (holding the dog)
The Sheriff’s SWAT team called in and took over the incident. More evacuations took place and at one point, a Deputy pulled 2 small children out of an apartment as the mother had left with another child to see what was going on.
Deputies made Several call outs and the situation was going on for hours.
The Deputies did a “Flashbang” to get the suspects’ attention, but he did not surrender. At 12:11 in the video, they blew the front door off after setting an explosive charge. The suspect finally surrendered to the Deputies. The entire incident last for over 5 1/2 hours.
I'm glad everyone went ok. You never know what other ppl are going through even your own neighbor.

Spring Valley morphed into the projects since I was a kid and lived in Casa de Oro. I feel bad for people in a socioeconomic class who have to live in a complex like that. It is contrary to LIFE. Great video of the suspect doing the perp walk. Don't mess with SDSO SED, they are professional and take the job seriously.
They are too lazy to do something about it.

90% of the violent crime that happens in Spring Valley happens in La Presa or near Bancroft Ave..
@@gi8904 It's not nearly as bad as East San Diego(City Heights) or South East San Diego but its still a bad area. Thankfully La Presa is a relatively small area and is boxed-in by Dictionary Hill and Sweetwater Lake keeping it from seperated from the nicer areas of Spring Valley.
