- Ever wanted to make a Ghostbusters costume, cosplay? I'll show you all I've learned building mine, piece by piece to give you a head start on yours. Along with improvements I've made since my previous videos. As well costume tiers, from basic to full on Proton Pack. Great fun for sure.

Go for it! The flashing lights make all the difference on this design for sure. Feels like an extension of the proton pack.

Have fun Steve. My son went out on Halloween and was the life of the party. I've worn it out too and the costume seems to be a crowd pleaser. I'm pleasantly surprized how many folks like and comment on my Gizmo 2.0...
I have seen some cosplayer totally smack talk the spirit and haslab packs saying they will never be as good as something custom built. I disagree this is a form of gatekeeping which is an awful thing to do. Your setup looks great and you kept the cost down, I'm setting at over a grand in my setup because I'm a stickler but that doesn't mean people shouldn't enjoy the kits they put together just because it's cheaper or pre-made.
Darktoast, totally agree with you. Once you get into something like this you can go very deep in time and money, but that still doesn't mean smack talk has any value. My experience is those that pick at other are just sad people in general.

Its just a 3 inch pool noodle wrapped in black duct tape.

Have you considered modifying the Spirit goggles to look more like the movie?
Yes, but its easy to get bogged down in too much gear. Maybe if a friend needed one for their costume, I'd help make some. Or these videos really take off and pay for themselves...
Ive decided to go a smoking trap and holster over a belt gizmo,wheres the cheapest place to buy accurate black gloves

Maybe some day, but I'm happy with what I've got hanging on my belt for now.
@@MakeItorBreakItNow well I am doing the Spengler wand switch hack that I learned from you and the trap is cheap I got it from sprit Halloween
i have spent more on shipping of items then you have on your entire costume. Cosplay is so much cheaper in America.
Not sure where you live, but have to agree we have many low cost options here.
