Well isn't that just nice to hear! Thanks @brad wood, much appreciated! Allot of work went into this little film, nice to hear it's appreciated. Thanks for watching.
Thanks @RonRivet! I can't speak to the best place in Timmins but I can say that I do enjoy staying at the Super 8. Nice size parking lot, direct access to the trail and good restaurant!
My crew and I were in that area in January of that same year. We stopped at that gas station as well with no high octane. We gased up in Moonbeam. Amazing Trails. Might go back this year as well. Great video. Hey Rick! Haven't seen you since our bar hopping days in the 90s. Glad to see you're doing well 😄 Good ol City Lights and Norma Jeans. Lol
@scottish man, glad you enjoy the content. From what I hear that was the case all winter with that gas station. I told Rick you say hi, he doesn’t do much bar hopping these days 😊
Love Cochrane. We park in North Bay and ride up through Cochrane, Hearst and back. I love late season season riding where we are in -5 temp in Cochrane and when we get home to NY the next day, we are in 60 degrees and mowing grass lol.
I know this is a year old video but I’m coming from Michigan this season. Is there any tips or any areas I should look to go I like trail riding I also like Boondocking what is better January or February?
Regarding the Mach shock, I wonder if it wasn’t the hit, but the smart shock system feeling full extension of the shock and then applying full compression and something gave out when it went from whatever setting you had it at, to full firm rapidly. Jolts of pressure can cause issues, even in systems designed for it. I just want to thank you for producing quality content for us trail folks. There is so much great stuff to see happening on the mountain side, but quality trail content is hard to come by. A lot of effort I am sure, but great work.
@Ian M thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. I also definitely feel a lack of quality trail content out there. Thanks for watching and please help spread the word to your trail riding friends. The smart shocks were set to Sport + at the time (stiffest setting), dealer replaced the shock under warranty.
We were there in March this year. Trailered to Gogama from Espanola. We stayed at Tatachikapica lodge which was amazing and sledded to Cochrane from there. I loved it so much that we sold our 2009 Yamaha and snow checked a 2024 ski doo expy se. Thanks for posting!
@ronrivet so awesome! Congrats on the new sled. My wife and I did French River to Westree last year and that was a great ride (video posting soon) I’d love to ride all the way to Cochrane at some point e point as well. I typically trailer there. Hope you have a great season, cheers!

I've been to Cochrane snowmobiling 20 times since 1990 yeah the trails are top notch no doubt about that, and I've been to a lot of other places and always judged their trails to Cochrane and there's no comparison, none, unless it's club Echo in district 14
@@BeaverTailToys district 14 is just south of district 15 ,like from Kirkland Lake to Matachewan to Elk Lake to Englehart to Earlton and a few other places, it's some forest trails but a lot more open farm field running, definitely some neat things to see in that area, but I prefer Cochrane to Smooth Rock and west, even some south of Cochrane down to Matheson and Val Gagne, but it's been a few years since I rode in district 14 and I can't remember a lot about it although there is some rail bed running south of Elk Lake which takes you to club Echo trails
@@BeaverTailToys my son my 78 year old mother that still rides a sled and myself will be in Cochrane the last of February and the first week of March, can't wait because it's always a great time
Hoping you do a lot more riding and videoing this next weather. Your videos are soo clear and well edited it’s crazy.. you need more viewers. Interested to see if your gonna pick up another sled now that the Lynx is gone. You should look into the 2024 Lynx xterrain 146x2” with new gauge. It is such a perfect balance between speed and off trail fun and it still is a monster for wheelies and playing around but it rides soo much better being a little longer on the trails. We tested a couple end of last year and I have one on the way for this year.
@xGR1MxREAPERx thanks for the kind words, much appreciated! This seasons' focus is going to be mainly on upgrading my MachZ. I LOVE the Lynx offerings, I wish we had access to all the models they sell.
I'm from NB Canada! An Ontario snowmobiling is like nothing else!Canada has the best range of snowmobiling in the world from the mountains in BC to the trails in Ontario an New Brunswick! Great video!
Awesome! Some of the best riding of the year! Double digits temps coming in this weekend sadly for Cochrane. I'm guessing Easter might be the last weekend for this year. 😪
Great video, your filming skills are really good, those trails look flat and straight, 4 stroke calling trails, 68$ for a liter of oil is crazy, last 3 seasons I’ve been a 4 stroke 900 turbo rider.can’t wait for season 2023 on your channel
Thanks for the kind words @sage mcmullen! The $68 was for the oil and fuel 😊 The 900 turbos are great, I also have a Mach Z, can’t wait to get back out there for sure!
Is it safe up there for families? Seems very fast riding, passing and riding not tight to right etc. Wondering if driving speed limit the risk of oncoming or from behind traffic for young teen drivers.
God i need a sled, ive been out a few times with buddies on their extra sleds and man the feeling is unmatched. Ive been putting it off for far too long

@howrightiam yep, started carrying Octane boost with me after this trip actually lol. And yes, Ellie's is great! I have an episode from last season that I will be posting soon that features Ellie's actually 😀 the food was great!
Drone Footage Makes everything look great. But really Your staring at tree's. NB Has zero speed limits and the season often starts in NOV and ends in May.
