Take it from an Australian. The reason this game is $60 is because no Australian has ever bought this game. So they need to pray on the rest of the world to buy it.

The pricing makes no sense business wise considering the amount of competition they have.
My feeling for it being that price is that AFL is a pretty big part of our culture, so here it kind of gets to claim triple A status automatically. charlie as an australian this was a combination of the most stressful and hilarious video i've seen. Don't think i've ever seen an American offend an entire country more then you just did in 13 minutes.
When we first got cable in the '80s, there was a then brand-new channel called ESPN that showed all sorts of weird sports, probably because they were a new channel and didn't have the rights to any of the big sports. They used to show tons of Australian rules football, and even after watching a lot of it, I still didn't really get the rules, and there was no internet to look it up on. They'd also show Cricket, which is equally if not more confusing if you don't understand it and no one explains it. This game brought those memories rushing back, like a sad nostalgia for a confusing time.
Well fuck. I prayed this day wouldn't come. But here we are, our sport will never be the same again. Edit: Ok nvm, he just doesn't understand the rules. Either way tho, game is still broken.
Idk if we could ever get a major dev to make a game but the devs for all the AFL games have had the same problem. The damn holding the ball bug where you literally can be smashing the handball button but they don’t get rid of it and then the stupid hitout bug on ball ups where the CPU gets it every time and then you just immediately tackle it.
as an aussie this was sad that he had to exprience how afl works through this piece of garbage game i wish for him to sit down and watch a live game one time

You're the best Charlie, make me smile every time , im so glad it's not UA-cam drama , keep doing what you do . Btw you can pass to your teammates with a kick
I Didn't Even Know This Sport Existed Until I Was 16, & I've Been Watching The AFL Ever Since. It's Very Fun To Watch & Their Fans Are Very Supportive Of Their Favorite Clubs. Some Of The Rules Are That You Pass The Ball By Handballing It To A Teammate, Or Kicking It To Them. When A Teammate Catches A Mark, They Can Either Play On. Or Take A Free Kick. Since The Ball Is Very Bouncy, You Can Actually Dribble It Like A Basketball. The Middle Uprights Are Worth 6 Points & The One's On The Left & The Right Are Each Worth 1 Point. There's A Ref On The Field Who Watches & Follows What Happens, The Guys, & Or Girls, Wearing The Neon Green Shirts Are Umpires That Throw The Ball Back On The Field When It Goes Out Of Play, & Also Let The Players & Fans Know When A Goal Is Good Or Not.

my dad played AFL in the US and I love that charlie is trying his best to understand how in the world this is a sport
charlie as an australian this was a combination of the most stressful and hilarious video i've seen. Don't think i've ever seen an American offend an entire country more then you just did in 13 minutes.
this video is amazing charlie's reaction and him screaming "PASS IT" is soo Funny
this is really the greatest game rage of all time
You haven't even watched it yet clown
My farts are better than Charlie's farts.
At least our culture is spreading a bit
Slowly unfortunately
Probably the only time you’ll ever see the Eagles beat the Dees by 9 goals
Hahaha watching Charlie trying to comprehend the mighty Aussie rules footy is both adorable and extremely entertaining!
As an Australian I can confirm this is an Australian game

@@blacksheep7910 what is wrong with you? I am being nice with someone and you just came here to insult me? Shame! ☹️
As an Aussie who barely knows the rules of AFL this was still beautiful to watch.
6:34 this man got a 400% speed boost to catch the ball
Hilarious as an AFL fan in Australia seeing Charlie even acknowledge the sport.
we need to get Charlie to watch an actual match of footy
This is truly the sport game of all time
a bot copied your comment and has more likes😔
as an aussie this was sad that he had to exprience how afl works through this piece of garbage game i wish for him to sit down and watch a live game one time
As an Australian watching Charles struggle with rules of this national pastime is so cathartic 😅
1:57 actually hilarious, since the MCG draws so many people to AFL games that it puts an absolutely massive amount of strain on the Melbourne train network
I can't believe this game made Charlie mad
We need to put a footy in his hands and have Charlie attempt to kick it accurately at that distance on the boundary line for him to grasp how difficult it is haha
This is the greatest attempt of an American trying to figure out how Aussies play of all time
Now all we need is Charlie playing EA Cricket 2004 to round out the Floridian comedy rage as he tries to figure it all out.
You're the best Charlie, make me smile every time , im so glad it's not UA-cam drama , keep doing what you do . Btw you can pass to your teammates with a kick
My farts are better than Charlie's farts.
@@p-__ i like you too I'm sure your farts would keep me warm lol
This man's internet is fucking Hurculean
It’s like I’m watching a poorly attended mosh pit for ants
Charlie's like that one really cool uncle you have
No kidding
REPENT AND FOLLOW JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED.

I watched this entire video and I still don't understand how this sport works 😂
I am Australian and I still don't understand the rules lol
There’s a lot of moving parts but it’s legit the heart and soul of australia, baffles me how americans haven’t heard of it or atleast know of it as australia’s culture. Need charlie to watch a video explaining the rules 😂
@@macknewmann I have heard of it and actually watched parts of a game. Its quite intense.
when they said run too far i was so confused and laughed so hard at the same time
it just gets better i did not know u had to bounce the ball
“Is that my goalie?” HAHAHA there’s so many moments of gold here, so many discrepancies between the game and real life because of the mechanics
Guess I’m the next aussie in line to say that it’s great to see Charlie indulging in some of our amazing culture such as footy haha.
Glad to see another person experiencing the sheer unpolishment of this game! Thanks mate.
Dude AFL is objectively the greatest sport you can find. Conversely, this game is about as bad as sports sims get.
8:31 it blends every sport ever.
I'm dying
I have no idea what's going on, but I enjoy all the noises coming from Charlie while playing 😂
As an Aussie it was hilarious to hear Charlie commenting on Australian shit 😂😂
As a west coast fan, seeing them win a game by nearly 10 goals for the first time in many many years couldn't have made me happier
lol the crowd going back and forwards.
bro this is class to watch. him struggling how this works is just gold 🤣
“Everything is just awful nowadays. It’s enough to make anyone crazy.”
My farts are better than Charlie's farts.
Fax ngl
Ikr 😒
Is this going to be the next speed run challenge? 😂
never been more confused in my life watching someone play a sports game LOLLL
Australian football has the same energy as Blernsball from Futurama.
I don't think there could be a worse introduction to what is already a massive cluster fuck of a game. As much of a mess as it is, god damn I love it.
If you want to see the best of this amazing sport I would recommend watching any of the streak of close games Collingwood had at the end of last season and has continued to some extent this season too.
