I think this game would be a 10/10, if they make the characters shorter, allow them to mine for minerals, and add a robot that follows you around instead of a minecart.
Small tip for anyone reading this, I rebound the strategem keybinds to the arrow keys and this lets me sprint around while calling them in, as opposed to standing still. Obviously I do have to take my hand off my mouse and onto the arrow keys so there is a tradeoff.
Learned about this too, I think it's worth the tradeoff on the higher difficulties because you need to keep moving. Man, with 500+ hours spent on the first Helldivers, switching to the right hand to dial in makes me feel like a noob again.
Even on lower difficulties like 4, I definitely started to notice when teammates were just holding their position to fight off waves and waves when staying mobile was often a better option
TBH people can absolutely farm easy difficulty. Splitting up and doing everything + Bunkers + Beacons + storage containers is very efficient. I have had maps where I came out with 80 premium currency, or 12 medals. Only takes about 15 mins too. It's absolutely a way to farm low difficulty.
Yeah your thoughts on difficulty are interesting, what do you think about mission types where you have to actually be able to clear an area like hostage escort? Since you mentioned killing all bugs is difficult on 9, then wouldn't that mission be too hard? When I was trying higher difficulties solo, I also felt like I couldn't output enough dps to clear everything unlike DRG where any class can easily clear all bugs on haz5, so I personally would've said difficulty 9 is too hard to solo.
I mean, the game is still new, so the fact that any player can already clear most D9 missions in one or a few tries is probably indicative of it being relatively easy. For anything where you're forced to clear, it's honestly just dependent on spawn RNG. If you get 3 bile titans you're not going to clear them fast, even if you have all your strategems up. That's not difficulty to me, that's just bad game balance.
difficulty is fucked now thanks to that recent update, despite all the escaping you'll try and do when you cant hide. you get absolutely wrecked when there is a lethal spike in heavy spawns, a shocking arrival of an elite right where you were going or that backlog of many mediums get to you. Talking from experience with the terminids on just difficulty7 subside mission. The fucking spear is unusable. The game is a honeypot data miner
this is a weird comment -- helldivers and drg are two pretty different games with the only real similarity being in premise. the game's cool! i recommend checking it out in a few years, when you've grown up a bit

I suppose if I like DRG, I will also like this game.
I Played 3 Games today and no progress was saved, no xp, no medal etc.
This is a known bug, I think, which they're going to work out server side in about an hour.
Def agree that the optimal strategy is by FAR running and not really doing much shooting. I don't think that's very good gameplay.
aight enough of HD content for me. cya in the DRG part of the internet
r&s
Have you played Outriders?
no, i'm typically not too into RPGs
0:58 unless it's Ubisoft which then bad code is exponential and a good game is never.
