I recommend the 12 sheet cross cut from sams. The price hasnt increased in the last 2 years despite the inflation of everything else. It lasts a year if you beat the heck out of it like I do. I have two tops mounted on a 39gal wheeled trash can. We shred everything and it goes right into the garden.

Alright so how long before you break your paper shredders by feeding them cardboard ?

Mine lasted about a week after I introduced cardboard! I opened it up and found a blown apart PLASTIC main gear. The other gears were metal. Built to fail on purpose...

I have broken a couple of the smaller ones after much use (like after a year), but they only cost $10 used on Marketplace or Craigslist, so it's well worth it. I use larger 15 sheet shredders now as they are built much tougher, and they haven't slowed down or broken yet.

What About The One In The Back?

I remember at this old office place i worked at we had a cheap old paper shredder that was being replaced. It sounded a lot like those cheaper ones in the video. One day I and some coworkers arranged its death. It was like a small after work party. We took it apart and removed and bypassed the motor overheat circuit. Once it was back together we brought it out into the parking lot and tortured it. We were running packets thru it and started splitting up old phone books to run thru it. It struggled so bad. Eventually we ran out of junk to shred. We broke open the top and stared running garbage from the office trash cans thru it. It cried and cried. Eventually it started smoking for a few mins while it struggled and before long it caught on fire. We watched it melt while it cried and whined and continued to shred, all the while continuing to throw office trash into its busted out opening. It Eventually sparked and buzzed and the motor made weird noised before it stopped. After that we had lots of fun smashing it to pieces in the parking lot. Swinging it by the cord down into the pavement. Watching the pieces fly, some still smokimg. It was so fun to watch that cheap old thing die. For everyone. Once it was completely smashed and destroyed and it and its motor were burned up, and it was covered it many garbage juice substances, we threw it and it's pieces into the dumpster out back. Afterward we all smoked a joint. It was a fun after work activity

That big shredder seems to be handling the cardboard well. You need a few of those to shred all that cardboard. Sounds like you have a good radio station on too. Love the tunes. What's the station?

Yeah, it doesn't do the double thick cardboard. Only the normal single layer of carboard.

Powershred C-480C Shredder, might get this locally for $200 has 26 paper capacity, do you think it will work, or do you recommend a better one?

Seems like that would be more than enough to shred cardboard
