I am glad that you enjoyed that. It is not so common for them to have such a sweet guitar part in the middle of the song, but I guess it fits the lyrics. They have two official videos: "Aufbruch" and "Letzte Sonne". In other songs they are doing a lot more guitar-work but always have that distinct soundstyle. The translated lyrics: Innumerable glances pierce my body Surrendered without protection My mind is confused, looking for an answer On all the questions - a cry into the void No reverberation sounds anymore A dense veil of fear and worry Nothing stays hidden that night The grace of loneliness All eyes turned away Take me out of the spell I created Carry me away, far away To a place known only to me (guitar part) Every breath is hard Wrestling me down Every eye strike demands a life No voices in the wind No hope in sight No helping hand that redeems me Many of these lights - extinguished Insignificant at this moment Their splendor, which once received the world But her beauty has long passed Passed...
I like the way they handle melody and that bassline in the middle was good. The melody vaguely remind me of a band called Burst on their album Prey on life. I'm gonna listen to both of them now.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope It was a band that Jesper Liveröd played in. He was known as the bassist for Nasum (Swedish Grindcoreband). Burst is probably more on the progressive side of things. They had a very good interplay between the bass guitar and the lead guitar. I'm not sure if I'm describing it right, but they made melody's that started a bit dissonant but always felt right in some way.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope for some reason I thought of Batushka, though I can't really see a reason why since they don't seem to have much in common... :p my brain is weird sometimes.
Man react please to some cool bands from Eastern Europe: "White Ward - Poisonous flowers of violence" from Ukraine, black metal with jazz elements. "Путь - так пела метель" (Path - so blizzard sang) from Russia, black metal with an accordeon. No official videos or good quality lives but still, they are high quality bands.

Ok, so now people are making something like post-blackmetal... Does it mean that I'm fucking old? Or does it mean that naming black metal band "The Road Of Freedom" kinda' sucks?
1:24 I can confirm that the name of the song is not "du hast Katzenfutter" which translates to "you have cat food" but you nailed the band name lol

Thank you for posting these, and for requesting this song. I figured it was probably going to be good, but it was even better than I expected.

I'm not familiar with Burst, but I agree the melody and basslines in this were really good.

Very cool. I've had their album on my Ebay watch list for a while. Have a great week you two.
Thank you! Yeah, I think this is one I might have to start looking out for as well.
I might be listening to this band voluntarily 😛
Me too.
It has a part with a typical post-rock melody ☺️
That's kind of what I was thinking with the particular chords they were using in certain sections.
Fun video and reaction
Thank you! I enjoyed this song a lot.

yeah, thanks
You're welcome!
Glad to see you're enjoying the Oxxo Xoox album as well 🤘
Yeah that album is actually pretty sick.
The new intro is awesome!
Thank you! It's basically the new When Crows Caw intro, but I used a new song that I'm currently working on.
what?...is the "silent river" made outta cat food? 🤣...I particularly enjoyed the reactions on your faces between 2:50-.3:36
Haha! Yeah, we didn't realize the camera went out of focus. I don't know why it did that.
(I'm in the beginning of the video) what's the song in the intro?
It's a new song I'm working on.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Fabulous 🎆

Time for some more Lacuna Coil?
Not bad. Not bad.
I was definitely impressed with this.

The translation of the name means something else: "the way of a freedom" would be more precise.
not bad at all
I was definitely pretty impressed. Oh, check out the latest post on the Patreon.
