thats one Sori would probably enjoy as its wildly different. Not sure how much Vin would like it though. That said if I were to push for another Vektor song in another 6 months it would probably be that one. Beautiful song and the emotional climax of the album
Heh. Its Vektor with a K. Couple of neat things about this song, I love the same line Sori does about "which has a spirit, has a soul". And the transition at 12:20 out of the acoustic guitar part and when the simple melody lead comes in is one of my favorite transitions in metal ever. That ultra fast part that made Vin go "woah" is really hard to play. I've tried. It didn't end well. Some background about how this song came to be in front of you guys. When it was decided to split the EU (there is no animosity, we are all friends) it was partly to create an all discord alliance. So Drew helped me get everything set up then stepped away. So me and Zonia are now running the XU. As for this song in particular, everyone submitted up to 3 thrash songs which ended up with 30 or 31 submissions total. The playlist is incredible. And Vektor actually barely squeaked in on the first cut. But with the final 5 songs, it wasn't super close, this was the clear winner. However those last 5 songs were all absolute killers. Found it interesting that Sori liked this one less than Recharging the Void which is a faster song for the majority of the time. Liked seeing Vin get in to this one. More fun stuff to come from the XU. Our next pick comes from a playlist made entirely by one of our members. If being able to make a playlist for the other members to vote on appeals to you, hit up any of the alliance leaders to get the discord info and come join us. Oh and I thought it was very cute that Sori wore the Vektor shirt I sent her!
@@sopwithsnoopy8779 yep. There is a live video of somewhat decent quality of them playing it at Saint Vitus. David struggles with those high screams though live. the guitar work is immaculate though

I'm glad Vin really liked this one. Vektor is so fucking good. Sori would like Vektor's song "Collapse"; as it is basically a ballad. So it's quite a bit slower and 'sing-songy'. So glad you guys have Vektor on your radar because very few other reaction channels give them the time of day they deserve.
It would be awesome to see a reaction of Angra - The Shadow Hunter. Angra is one of the most important bands in the Power metal boom in the 90´s along with Nightwish, Rhapsody, Blind guardian, iced earth, gamma ray. On the other hand, along with Sepultura, they are the main metal bands from Latin America. For these reason it would be awesome to see a reaction from Angra because they are not just another meta band, in some way they represent another culture, another way to see and to live life, and of course another way to make music. Saludos!
Vin and Sori: We're going to be running a machine learning model on your tastes and rating methodology, soon. Many of us are skeptical of your "consistency," guys. We should have some data to work with soon enough.
Vektor has much better songs (LCD, Pillars of Sand, Outer Isolation, Tetrastructural Minds, Destroying the Cosmos...) but I'm still glad you reacted to it. Sori isn't a big fan of thrash so listen to Vektor - Collapse.

I've been listening to these guys since the debut. UA-cam recommended them around 2010 which was my freshman year. Fun shit I was super into thrash and thought these guys were top for modern thrash.
Please do one of these: Aversions Crown - Erebus System of a down - soldier side Phinehas - seven Or if u want a really powerful song: Make them suffer - save yourself

Nice pick by that Alliance, great song. Couldn't believe when Vin gave it just an 8.8 at the end, haha. So I just stumbled across this band a few nights ago and I think you should check them out. They’re called Orbit Culture. Saw and Redfog are two really good songs and definitely worth your time
Thrash isn’t a style I turn to often but I like what this band does with it. If I’m being nit picky, I might’ve shortened the clean parts at the beginning and end by a little bit but it feels like that could be a part I like more with repeated listens. Interesting first choice for this alliance.

It's so damn good. The musicianship is unbelievably good
Tetrastructural Minds is a perfect song. Simple as that.

I love that Vektor shirt. Such a great band. When everyone else was tuning their guitars down, Vektor tuned up to F.
Vektor proves that heaviness is in the riff not the tuning.
