I’m so jealous of you African descendants because you have such wonderful roots and can say you do have a very rich culture.
Where I come from we don’t have ancestors and we (most of us) don’t even know where we come from bc our natives were all killed in the process of colonization. So yeah. If you know where you come from and who was before you, please appreciate it for the ones who can’t.
To be fair, most of my fellow African-Americans don't know our real roots, unless we do a DNA test or something. History tried to erase our memory, but music is how we kept the essence.
