No problem. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm the Ralston director has for plants. Both of you spoke clearly and we are not expecting you to be a professional sound engineer.
Don’t apologize for talking about camellias too much Jim! You are my camellia guy 😉 You inspired me to start my own collection! Just added my first camellia sasenqua to my small japonica collection today! ❤️
well there you go ... another great video jam packed full of information and inspiration. And yes, those plants that envoke a memory, showy or not, are the absolute best plants. Thanks for sharing !!!
Thanks for another useful video -- I have come away with two plants that I want to try in my Zone 6b garden if I can find them. Jim, you have an exceptional ratio of useful information in your videos.
Didn't even notice the audio - I was so taken-in listening to Mark Weathington inform and educate with such ease. Mark is so interesting and easy to listen to - I especially loved the personal story of the Bihou Japanese Maple. Jim, thank you for visiting Mark again and look forward to other visits.
All year I have contemplated moving a Calico Aster that's growing in a sort of unwanted spot. Right now though, 1/2 the plant is seed while the 1/2 towards the porch support is still in flower. Guess she can stay there, bee on it today 🐝 Great bunch of plants, thank you!
I have most of these, but need to check out that Fuji Cherry. Planted a Korean Stewartia when I moved here and it is beautiful. Slow growing so far, but lovely form, "camellias" after all the other trees have flowered, and incredible fall color.
I wish you’d talk about Witch Hazels more. They flower in the middle of winter. I’m looking at planting some, but I wish there were more videos out there before I decide on which cultivar I want to plant.
I guess I should be worried if I recognized the tree before watching this video. LOL. Here in New England, we rely on Sango Kaku to color up the garden in the winter - and it can be just as finicky. But it is worth it because it always looks good….
Does this Bihou get those black tips??? Mine did and I got rid of it eventually because I was not happy with those black diseased tips ..I've since learned it needs very dry conditions to avoid that problem so,,,that disease may have grown out or the plant by now...
If you can get "bihou" to an old age it is good but the young ones struggle a bit with some kind of black stem fungus or die back of some sort...I've given up on it after 2 tries....
The audio is not great in this video. This set of mics has let me down twice. I have some new ones coming. Thanks for watching.
The audio was a bit over modulated but I just turned it down and it was not overly annoying...
No worries it was still very good!!!
Could hear and understand everything. Love a man with a little rasp in his voice anyway! 😁
I can't hear well, but I heard every single word Mark said about every one of his favorite plants! Thanks for an excellent video!

This is one of my favorites Plan Master Series video. Great plants and excellent sense of humor from Mr. Weathington!
Who doesn’t love a Winter Interest Garden. My favorite time of year. Thank you!
Enjoyable walk around.
Thank you, Jim! Always love to hear Mark talk about plants and hope you will continue to go back and see him at JCR!

The yellow bark on that Japanese Maple is stunning. I looked online where to purchase - all sold out everywhere I looked. Love it.

Unusual plants 😉😉
Love this tour! So much information for our winter gardens!
Anybody else feel like Mark's mannerisms, wording and even cadence is so close to Jim they could be brothers.
Mark is so informative jim didn’t need to speak 😂love the cheese maple and the story of his daughter…lovely 🥰
Great video Jim! I have to say, I was watching Marks hand swinging around near that agave like “oh jeez”

Interesting plants.
Never heard of or seen a fuji cherry. I'll have to investigate further!
Definitely need a “cheese maple” 😂💖

Jim I enjoy your videos. I live in the Charlotte area and have a garden you might be interested is seeing.
Hope to hear from you
Love the channel. Sound really treble-y and buzzy on this Ep unlike any of the others I have watched.
And now I am seeing your comment. How did I miss that?!? Yay! New mics.
Does the Fuji cherry flower in the winter in colder climates like zone 6

Since series! The Agave and Mahonia almost look prehistoric, real standouts!
I planted a bihou Japanese maple last fall 💛💛💛

Is the yellow bark tree Acer palmatum 'Bihou'?
Yes!!
Be sure to check out Mark on the JC Raulston YT channel.

To bad that Prunus incisa 'Shikizaki' is so hard to find.
Where to buy Fuji Cherry plant in Triangle?
Isn’t it cold in those clothes?
lol not really we are in high 60's low 70's down here
I know you realize it, but wow the audio is pretty tough to listen to.
👋😃
He lied. He said he doesn’t like spiny things, then promoted the Mahonia. LOL ;)
