I love that Andy Samberg in real life behaves exactly like Jake Peralta. Dude wasn't even playing a part, he was just being himself while wearing a detective badge.
I saw this show live!! Pinching myself that I got to see these two friends and genuinely funny people in their element :) Seth was so warm throughout - my favorite late night host for sure
Had the chance to see the show live when he was in DC back in 2016 and he was awesome! Also got to meet Marge Helgenberger from CSI who was sitting a few rows in front of us.
The "how you say.."s were cracking me up so much. Absolutely love when Andy is on the show. The guests this week have all been Seth's fav guests I think and it was fun to see him extra giddy.
After this, how could anyone question Samberg's ability to seamlessly move into purely dramatic roles? 😂 (FR though, Palm Springs is one of my favorite movies of the last... decade? Not exactly drama but not only goofball either)
Correction: Andy should have said 30.48 cm not 1 foot. Not only does France use Système international d'unités (the modern version of metric) but the organization that coordinates it (Bureau international des poids et measures) is based there.
Correction Correction… In France he would be speaking French, so in translating to English he was also kind enough to translate the units into American. But, you say? This was so silly. I will say though, as a native French speaker, his accent was surprisingly good. It sounded less outlandish than what comedians usually go for!
@@icantollie I know you may think that, but the reason I mentioned it is because of the sheer volume of terrible French accents I have heard in my life! 😂
I am 51 going on 52. When I was 11 I had my own TV in my room and began watching Late Night with David Letterman every night. That meant to get to Letterman each night I had to watch Johnny Carson. Years later my wife & I discovered The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart in 2003 and watched it everyday. Then adding The Colbert Report. SNL was a staple in my life and when Seth ran things w/ Tina & did the Weekend Update together something happened. That gel made the show, the segment, the players transcend comedy that somehow brought us from watching, adoring fans to feeling like we knew eachother. Sitting down and watching was like hanging out w/ friends. I don't want to disparage any other late-night so I won't. What I will say is that it's very easy for me to put you on the short list of the best late night talk shows/hosts of all time.
This is funny but Seth being that uncomfortable is also very funny. 😄😁 - it was so long ago. - you know what else is so long. - I do. [and says it like he's considering retirement.]
Ok.. This made me realise that we definitely need Lonely Island to produce another sports mockumentary like the tennis and Tour de France one they did. Also love how long after the event happened this idea came up.
OMFG this was absolutely hilarious!!! 😂 My sides were hurting from laughing so hard. THIS is why I laughed when I saw Andy in the trailer for a serious movie with Kate Winslet. 😂
