Community Cricket Program
Since 2022, Pro Sport Development, with support from The Upamanyu Mallik Initiatives (TUMI), Grant Thornton Bharat and Ace Sports, has been implementing the Community Cricket Program (CCP), which leverages the power of cricket to empower young people to become confident, competent and gender-sensitive young citizens, taking on leadership roles, confronting gender norms and advocating for child rights within their schools and communities.
In September 2023, Street Child United organized the Street Child Cricket World Cup (SCCWC) 2023 to bring young people from underserved communities worldwide together and provide them with a platform to be heard and talk about the issues close to them.
Eight young people from the CCP represented Team Pro Sport Development - India Crocodiles, at the SCCWC 2023, advocating for the interests of all slum-based young people in Odisha.
