Great video, I agree completely, I have only had my Korkers one season, but I love them. Very comfortable, light and after a long day of wearing them my feet never become an issue. Good luck this winter!!

Here is my favorite - Cabalas brand with felt and corks. I have a pair of Korkers but from a safety perspective felt sole with corks is the answer for me.

Korker boots are a step above every other brand. I'm rocking a pair of 3 year old Whitehorse that have performed flawlessly. Biggest thing is their light weight, so much better than the simms I had before. Just don't wear them clamming or surf fishing, boa mechanism fills with sand and you have to take them apart to get them working again.

I think that theses boots really great, I use dark horse and can confirm that they very durable and quite light as well. I only not sure about tongue length, his longer then boots and looks that can make problems for gravel guards and neoprene socks if sock will be short. Looks that best option will be Patagonia waders because they have longer socks and guards as well

have had these tested for a year of fishing, its preference, the boots are ok they just dont have the ankle support that I need walking around rocks or uneven terrain. K5 Bomber are a better option

Can the soles come off by accident. If you are hiking over rugged or steep terrain, what's the likelihood these interchangeable will come off.

My Dark horses have frayed after a season or two and shit I think those Devils Canyons would hold up better than the fabric on the Dark Horses.

I wear a size 9.5 for the most part and the size 10 is perfect for me. I would say size up a half or whole size to leave room for thick socks in the winter. 👍

What boots are you guys wearing now?
I tried the River Ops and they let so much damn sand and pebbles in I was greatly disappointed. They started chewing at my new g4z wader booties.. waders and boots were bought at the same time... taped seems were lifting after 1 short season and Im a guy who religiously cleans out his boots... Nothing compared to my simms riversheds I wore prior in terms of how much sand they let in and how LARGE of the grit the let in...
Curious if you guys are still using the devils canyon or something else?
Always look forward to hearing from ya!
*I am debating going for the G4 boots but I have noticed the way they are making them, they are not designed to go the distance like years prior. The new felt is not even a full felt bottom.. Your basically riding into the rubber immediately so refelting will NOT be as easy just by my first impression. (this is the companies way of limiting the lifecycle from what I can tell.. they are really wanting you to buy new stuff fast... also their new g4z wader booties are not as rugged as previous models. a few of my friends are complaining about the same thing im experiencing.... anyway ya, simms is going down the shter!

Hey Dan. We have been using the River Ops non BOA and they have been good so far. Haven’t had any issues with sand or pebbles from the fisheries I’ve been so far. I have the the same waders and so far so good. Thank you for the heads up. I will keep an eye on things.

My only complaint about these is there is no spot to hook my gravel guard from my waders onto the boot. Other than that I absolutely love them!!

the bottom soles on my korkers always come off when i walk through the mud. I have purchased several pairs only to have it happen again and again.......yes i did attach them correctly.

We haven't had that issue since using the newer devils canyon boots. However its smart to be more careful in thick mud.

How old are the boots? I’ve heard previous versions had issues with the soles staying attached. I had a pair of Korkers Wraptr with the new sole design and never had a problem. Sold the boots, but only because I want to go to the Devil’s Canyon due to weight and the BOA lacing system. Like someone else said, I just wish they had a ring or loop to attach the gravel guard hooks. Don’t really want to hook to the BOA laces.

@@ElevatedFishing I'm totally bummed. I purchased these boots and immediately feel in love. Light, comfortable and easy to get into. As previously stated, my main concern was rusting in connection with the Boa lacing system. I did not experience any rust but after only two times wearing them, sand was able to migrate into the boa lacing system gear box and completely clogged the gear system. It was so bad it took me 20 minutes to get them off as the round tightening mechanism would not pop open due to sand being compressed into the gearbox. I just took it apart and was astonished to find that the gearbox was frozen because of packed sand inside. Whether you are at the beach or in freshwater how do you prevent sand from getting into the gearing mechanisms? Unfortunately, I must return these now. I hope Amazon will accept them back and refund my $240.00.
