- In this episode we leave Annapolis after having such a wonderful time exploring and meeting new people.
We show you up close on the charts where we are heading and the journey ahead of us
As we leave Annapolis we pass under what is only the second bridge we have ever passed under since our sailing of three years
We research why there are loads of dead fish floating around in the Chesapeake and makes us very concerned for the future of the waterways
More boat jobs as de-rusting is the job of today.
We relax at our chosen anchorage and watch the sunset, we hear what sound like bombs, what are we hearing?
We head through the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal and take in the beautiful sights of the houses that lay along the sides of the water’s edge
We doge what seems like a maze of lobster pots and wonder if someone somewhere is playing a prank on us!
We set off for Cape May and the weather is very different from yesterday - What a difference a day makes!

JAMES, WE CALL THOSE TUGS "OCEAN GOING TUGS"
Used the "Pink Stuff" to clean the rust stain from the engine and generator exhaust. Amazing! Bought some of the spray as well and used it on the yellow waterline stain. Thank you!!!
That is great to hear!!
The noise (bangs etc) was from the Aberdeen Proving Ground just across from where you dropped anchor - APG is the U.S. Army's oldest active proving ground, established on 20 October 1917, six months after the U.S. entered World War I.
Fantastic info... thank you Harry! That is really good to know, glad we asked..
Yuengling Lager !!!!! I hope you bought a lot of it because it’s not available everywhere. America’s oldest Brewery. Family operated for 6 generations now, since 1829. By Richard Yuengling and his 4 daughters, Jennifer, Wendy, Debbie and Sheryl.
Those loud explosion it’s probably Aberdeen Proving Ground.
When Philippa was keeping an alert for lobster pots, might they really have been crab traps? On the Chesapeake Bay, they are best known for three things: Chesapeake Bay blue crabs, oysters and rockfish (also known as striped bass).
See you in Ibiza! 😁 No, not coming with James (Zingaro).
Yes we found out they were crabs... thank you
Philippa, I can watch it all day when you use the toothbrush rubbing in the "Pink Stuff' into the guard rails . . . . more and more please !!
Seriously, I'm delighted that you are still sailing and enjoying your time on the water !!
Thanks Harry
I know you guy's are probably long gone, but if you still in the states, please don't miss a chance at seeing the great lakes, i don't mean sail here jump in a car I'll get you on a boat! Love your channel!!
Thank you Paul that is very kind of you..
The fisherman in his little hut.. you cracked me up!
He was defintiely there hahaa
Love that Yeungling, wish we could get it in Michigan 😟
Right!!!! so good...
That's good beer. I can't get it here on the west coast USA. It is from one of the oldest breweries in the US. Enjoy! Cheers!
It's so good!
It's the oldest not one of the oldest. It's 15 miles from me, and it's not popular here.
I used to use The Pink Stuff to clean up the chrome on my car after a tip from a detailer! Tremendous stuff.
FYI, Yuengling is America’s oldest brewery.
I didn't know that I thought they were kinda new I didn't see them till 87 shows I'm behind lol
@@sailingwind326 You're in good company because many people in America also did not know about them until recently (including me)! Until a few years ago, their distribution was mainly in New England (i.e. the North Eastern Coast). So, your content is very apropos to the majority of America. That is to say, most Americans have recently had the same Yuengling experience as you ;). Fair winds! Jim.
Really, great stuff!
Good vidio I have missed you guys lately glad all is well thanks
Thank you Brad
Love your videos.
Thank you Floyd
You be quiet OK going up to C and D have fun out there be safe waving a hand from Northeast Maryland👋
Bravo for keeping your teak deck nicely maintained and oiled👍 It’s a huge area but makes a boat looking awesome. I hate to see boat teak grey, dry and cracked…tells a lot about it’s owners👍
Thank you - it is not an easy one
What dates are you guys going to be in Cape May, where I call home. It is indeed a fascinating little village featuring pristine Victorian architecture and was America's first seaside resort town. I'll be honored to show you around.
Congratulations!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Very nice adventure! Very good videos!!
A question!! How much is the minimum wind so that sails can be hoisted? and what speeds do they reach?
Thank you!
Philippa, you have gotten so natural on your explanations and voice overs (compared to early vids)...BBC quality;) James already had that haha. Well done both, it's a pleasure to follow your journey
Thank you! 😃
Sigh.. I wish my life was anything like this.
Hey, that was a beaut ep . Looks like you two are having fun, thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it
love from INDONESIA
Love back.. :)
How did you get your teak deck looking good
No. 347, as if it matters. In that neck o' the woods they're crab pots. (How's that for mixing metaphors?)
I Keep Sayin, All You Sailors Need To Install Remote Controlled Video Cameras Atop Your Masts, For Improved Perspective On Video Footages, Seeing or Judging Heights Of Bridges+ Other Overhead Obstacles & For General Security All Around Your Boats, ETC! 😁😎 Thanks Mates
It is a good point, someone has to go up there though!!! eeek
@@SailingAequus Just Hire A Rigger...🤣
Enjoyed you video. A question: Are they 9-12 months delayed vs. real time? I ask as it is very early in the season to be in a bathing suit in the Northeast.
I have to laugh at the irony of you saving a few dollars by using the Pink Stuff while you're traveling to one of the most expensive areas on the east coast. The Hamptons...where the elite live and have their summer mansions. I just love watching the reactions you're having to the states and its quirks.
Every penny counts!!
@@SailingAequus Just remember "penny wise, pound foolish!" LOL
Great episode. The production is very professional quality. You should approach Pink Stuff for a sponsorship as I don't think they have a made a push into the marine market. Would be great opportunity for you all.
Thank you Joel, it is surprising isn't it!
James old son - query on Bridge heights - don't sailors use laser measures like the builders use to measure the height to the underside of a bridge ?? Pick one up for $30 ish at Home Depot !! Really enjoyable videos thx
Just discovered your channel really really enjoy it giving you a subscribe with a bell and a like.
Welcome aboard!
They are not lobster pots. There are no lobsters in the Delaware river or the Delaware bay. They are blue crab traps. Lobsters are caught in New England and mostly Maine and Canada.

$500k+ on a boat. You are an idiot, living the life we all want. May fair winds always be in your sails! Much love ❤️
Aequus for sale?
I noticed that too. I wonder what happened?
@@mrakhoover idk but wish I had the money to buy it lol
James I’d still go for the full English, all this healthy stuff is not good for you.
Thank you very much Charles, sadly we are gone from there..
