About 5 years ago, I would listen to this song on repeat, thinking I related to it because all of my friends had bfs/gfs and I didn’t. Two years ago, I met a guy. From the very first time I saw him, I thought he was perfect. Soon enough, I started to develop very strong and genuine feelings for him, which is something I had never felt before. We were off and on from then up until May of last year. He was my first love. I trusted him with everything. He knows things about me that not even my best friend knows, and I know things about him that he would never tell anyone else. In April of last year, a month before it all ended, was when I realized I was really in love with him. The day he told me he didn’t want to be with me anymore, I felt like my whole world had been crushed. I had this feeling like I had nothing to look forward to in life because everything had been about him for so long. Despite it not even being a year ago, I can’t even really remember any of last summer, that’s how bad it was. We ended on horrible terms. After months of doing everything I could to get over him, I finally did, in September of last year. I now have no feelings for him whatsoever. Knowing how horrible he made me feel makes me never want to see him again. I know it hasn’t been that long, but I honestly can’t even bring myself to imagine having romantic feelings for anyone ever again. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. The thing is though, I do want to fall in love again, I just can’t. I’ve never met someone who’s made me feel the way he did. So now, 5 years later, I relate to this song again, just in a very different way. I do have hope that someday, someone will come prove me wrong. Someone will prove to me that I can love someone again.

I can relate greatly as well. I was madly in love with my first ever boyfriend when I was 16. I was also his first as well. We met online through Xbox lol, and were just young teens in love. We had a long distance relationship and dated for 2 years and 6 months. We saw each other physically occasionally (not as much as we wanted, only a few times as we couldn't drive at the time), talked about our future together, living together, even marrying one day, but the distance became too much for him. He eventually broke up with me. I felt so, so devastated and heartbroken. I was crushed, and didn't expect it. I wondered what I did wrong and where I went wrong. I became super depressed and hopeless I'll never find another relationship like this and it's all over for me. With time though, I eventually moved on. That was 6 years ago when I got dumped. Have been single ever since lol, but it's fine though. I'm still waiting for the right one, I'm in no rush. I worry as well about being heartbroken again sometimes, I even sometimes think I'll never be with another man again and that was the only relationship I'll get, but at the same time I still hold onto some hope that I can find a sweet, great, loyal man who form a strong relationship with and can marry and we can build a life together. About 5 years ago, I would listen to this song on repeat, thinking I related to it because all of my friends had bfs/gfs and I didn’t. Two years ago, I met a guy. From the very first time I saw him, I thought he was perfect. Soon enough, I started to develop very strong and genuine feelings for him, which is something I had never felt before. We were off and on from then up until May of last year. He was my first love. I trusted him with everything. He knows things about me that not even my best friend knows, and I know things about him that he would never tell anyone else. In April of last year, a month before it all ended, was when I realized I was really in love with him. The day he told me he didn’t want to be with me anymore, I felt like my whole world had been crushed. I had this feeling like I had nothing to look forward to in life because everything had been about him for so long. Despite it not even being a year ago, I can’t even really remember any of last summer, that’s how bad it was. We ended on horrible terms. After months of doing everything I could to get over him, I finally did, in September of last year. I now have no feelings for him whatsoever. Knowing how horrible he made me feel makes me never want to see him again. I know it hasn’t been that long, but I honestly can’t even bring myself to imagine having romantic feelings for anyone ever again. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. The thing is though, I do want to fall in love again, I just can’t. I’ve never met someone who’s made me feel the way he did. So now, 5 years later, I relate to this song again, just in a very different way. I do have hope that someday, someone will come prove me wrong. Someone will prove to me that I can love someone again.
I want you to know that you’re not the only one going through an experience like this. I do believe in love and I do believe that someday someone will prove you wrong, all of us who have lost the ability to give love in one way or another. You will find your way and love will find you.
I can relate greatly as well. I was madly in love with my first ever boyfriend when I was 16. I was also his first as well. We met online through Xbox lol, and were just young teens in love. We had a long distance relationship and dated for 2 years and 6 months. We saw each other physically occasionally (not as much as we wanted, only a few times as we couldn't drive at the time), talked about our future together, living together, even marrying one day, but the distance became too much for him. He eventually broke up with me. I felt so, so devastated and heartbroken. I was crushed, and didn't expect it. I wondered what I did wrong and where I went wrong. I became super depressed and hopeless I'll never find another relationship like this and it's all over for me. With time though, I eventually moved on. That was 6 years ago when I got dumped. Have been single ever since lol, but it's fine though. I'm still waiting for the right one, I'm in no rush. I worry as well about being heartbroken again sometimes, I even sometimes think I'll never be with another man again and that was the only relationship I'll get, but at the same time I still hold onto some hope that I can find a sweet, great, loyal man who form a strong relationship with and can marry and we can build a life together. What I've wanted for a while. I still have some hope. 🙏❤️ I hope you find your one and only as well too. 👍:)
