The narrator speaks so clearly that it is a pleasure to listen to him. His accent just adds interest as you listen, keeps you from getting bored while learning the use of the peel.

I work in a garden centre and tell the customers who buy roses to chop up a banana into peices and throw some into the plantinghole...this is great advice and my hubby eats LOADS of bananas...thank you for this alternative way to use peels!

Thank you. I put in a bucket coffee ground, bananapeels and eggshells, mix it regularly and when full I put it over my vegetable garden to make the soil richer.
Bananpeel also goes to my roseplant 🌷

yes, I simply dry out my banana peels, cut them before hand, and then when dry I add them to a jar with a tight fitting lid. I could add water to them as she did here, before i go to actually use them? But dried? Put into the soil they will still give the benefit to the plants any way.
in fact I have been watching videos of making vinegar by ppl on YT and i came across a very successful man who was using fruit to make them, and decided to try dried fruit? He now says his best vinegar is made using the dried fruit, not fresh like he first started doing.

I do this too. I dry out banana peels and eggshells in direct sunlight for a couple of days until they are really dry and I put them in my blender and blend them into a powder, store them in an air-tight container in a dry cool place and add to my plants every couple of months.

    I have an accent too...
People that have an accent can speak multiple languages, something most people can't do.
It's not right to make fun of someone who has an ability to do something you're not capable of doing.
Don't make fun of people who have an accent. Dont.

This is a great laid out video. Thank you. I rescued a plant that looks similiar to Aloe Vera. The poor plant was left outside in direct sunlight on a hot day and dying but I was lucky to spot it and take it home. He is much better now in indirect sunlight downstairs but I will try banana fertilizer. I also have geranium plants that I grew from seed and they eat and eat and eat so this is good idea. I need to eat bananas as I have a potassim deficiency so now they can feed both me and plants. Also, I love that you don’t have to dilute the banana tea.

Thank you for the video :) . Coffee grounds and banana peels can be applied directly around the rose plant without composting. Banana peels are a good source of potassium for roses. And they also help improve the immune system of roses

Another good fertilizer is to keep your rice washing water for a week or so and pour that around plants. It also smells horrible but the plants love it.
Have been using banana skins just as they are placing them around the plants, I grow three kinds of banana's Finger ones are the best, Another species just for the flower and the third is just for a wind break with the fruit used to fertilize the other two.
I also get lots of cow poo as a grazing herd pass by each day, I have a water trough for the and as they linger they dump lots of good stuff. This I dry in the sun chop fine and spread around plants. Wet stuff is put into a bucket and water added, the water is used to feed tomatoes.

well it still burning which is not good to our nature....just buried the body and let it slowly disintegrate in the soil is the best way for the dead body. No coffin some more. ALL is return to nature. Not to criticize but just my logic thinking.

I was going through the comments, as expected, Indians are more interested in his accent than the content of the video. The funny thing is these people are not aware about their mother tongue influence when they speak English. I have met many such fellow Indians who laugh at others' pronunciation, at the same time they speak Hinglish, Tanglish, Manglish etc. This lack of mutual respect, and manners are deep rooted in Indian culture(hierarchical caste-ism/most pervasive version of racism but they never feel its racism). See the foreigners including native speakers appreciate this person. That's the way civilized people behave.

Excellent to use this, but Aloe Vera needs near nothing to grow! I've grown it in pots with no soil whatsoever and only watered it incidentally while watering other plants in the same area and it thrived like an air plant. It's a very drought tolerant plant, I love to grow it, so easy and beneficial. I also love saving egg shells and baking them slowly, crushing and adding to the soil, great natural ways to feed plants.

I'm only wondering about letting the mixture set, then putting it through a blender or food processor, straining if necessary, then using as fertilizer. Blending it should make it even more concentrated. Or even blending it before letting it set might be better than the other way around. The more the peel is exposed to water, the more vitamins should leach out.

as I understand which may be wrong , using a blender heats up the mix and this results in drastic destruction of nutrients , alternatively try to mince or dice or cut peels as minutely as possible but manually and then add entire mixture without straining

Samir... I blend my 'liquid breakfast' smoothie in the mornings and the liquid comes out virtually as cold as it went in, so i'm unclear why anyone thinks there would be a dramatic rise in temperature. I wonder if sometimes people are simply suspicious of the use of any technology. A scientific breakdown of the nutrients in banana skin would be handy, and whether they are really there in useful quantities.

If you make your own kombucha, and that's just basically fermented sweet tea, for every batch, you get a new scoby. "Symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts". One use of those is to mush up, and add to water for plants. The bacteria from that is great for plants to metabolize nutrients.
