Mural on the wall of the Pinocchio Kindergarten in Borodianka, Kyiv region | Project HOPE Ukraine

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, the Borodianka kindergarten "Buratino" was forced to stop working. During the shelling of the village, the building of the kindergarten was heavily damaged.
The Project HOPE team decided to rehabilitate the kindergarten for the children and the community as a whole.
To restore historical justice, the kindergarten was renamed from Buratino to Pinocchio. Thus, it was decided to create a mural depicting Pinocchio as the symbol of the kindergarten.
Roman is the artist who painted the mural. It symbolises the connection between the terrible past experienced by children and their parents and a very bright future full of hope.
