Why YOU Should Give CATA CLASSIC a CHANCE

- In this video I'm going through the "new" World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic early game. Just telling you my thoughts about WoW Classic Cataclysm and how much I'm enjoying it so far. This is more or less part one, where part two will contain my thoughts on the late game, so stay tuned by subscribing to the channel to not miss that one!
I gave it a shot and had fun but realized it’s just a watered down version of retail so went back to retail. It’s basically playing retail but way less content so I didn’t see the point, especially not playing it for countless hours long term. Also I played hundreds of days in original cata so it feels like I’ve seen it all there already
I know the feeling. I'm having much fun and I am almost level 85. When I've done some gearing, HC dungeons and tried out raiding in phase one, I'm probably gonna stop, because I've been through it all already back in the fay and as you, I poured hundreds of hours into it.
For me, it's more of less a trip down memory lane. But the point of the video is to try to make people see, that cataclysm wasn't that bad tbh
retail classes are boring af and the raids.
You make a good case, but in cataclysm I saw the biggest drop off from my friends list. Not to mention, I think after art has, a lot of people felt the story of Warcraft was done. Then there was the fact there were a lot of real life changes at that time.
I think cataclysm just had the misfortune of being released during a time when not only was WoW trying to redefine itself for modern audiences, but the gaming industry as a whole, as we moved into the 2010’s.

I agree 100% with you! We had vanilla, a brand new game, which brought the Warcraft universe into a whole new light. Then TBC which brought Illidan, then WOTLK which brought the Lich King, then Cataclysm happened and Mists of Pandaria, which didn't do that much in terms of lore to lure and hook old and new players, but then WoD came and the subscriber count spiked by a lot, because you know, Grom Hellscream, but we all know what an awful mess WoD was, with all the cut and changed content, so that spike of subscribers quickly changed into something else.

@@WarcraftAndy It sucks dicks, and only streamers and content creators shill it because it's the only new WoW content available right now, so their paychecks depend on it.
Cata is alright, I think I can find something I enjoyed in every expansion I played (except Shadowlands, didnt play that). But it missed on a lot of stuff why I love wow. My favorite thing is questing and I didn't like the streamlined quests, I enjoyed traveling around the world. I leveled my shaman to 50 and quit, dungeon farming is very boring, questing is empty and also boring. I might level just to try raiding, but at the moment I enjoy playing vanilla and seasonal servers and retail. Cata does feel like retail, but with a lot of things missing.
How is making the game simpler a good thing? You don't like challenge?
Simpler as in casual friendly is a major plus for me as I've always played WoW casually. I've given classic a chance and it's a overcomplicated time consuming mess, to be honest. It's not hard, it's not a challenge, just very boring, sorry to say.
Classic hardcore on the other hand IS a challenge! 😉
Will cata replace wrath or can u still play wrath the way it is?

Cataclysm doesn't have the charm of "oldschool" WoW but it also doesn't have many conveniences and improvements of modern WoW. Its just bland.
Not gonna happen. Cataclysm then and now are two completely different worlds. The minmaxing, antisocial, toxic community of today is what ruined WoW and online gaming in general for me. In this world, you are no longer a player, you are an NPC.

Or we can just, ya know, play the normal game where our characters actually continue on and wont just fall off into uselessness at some point. The whole point of classic was primarily to relive the classic to wrath time. Now its just basically a pointless repeat of us just doing the timewalker events. All this time and effort is going to eventually just be erased because they have to stop with the classic expansions at some point. Vanilla is alright, BC and wrath were fun while it lasted. After that? Its just a pointless repeat of what a lot of us barely cared for to begin with
As of now, retail is just in a waiting state for the next expansion. Now is the best time to jump into Cata and try it out! It's a fun expansion

Scatapissm players already trying to shill their failure of an expansion even though it's barely been 2 weeks into it. Cataclysm will be remembered as the expansion that killed WoW a decade ago, and killed classic WoW today.
Hahaha just say you don’t like it, I played it back in the day and liked it, I like it now. Maybe it’s just your personal preference? Vanilla wow has been milked to death at this point. You say people who like it are shills but even worse, you are hating for free 😂 and cata wasn’t a decade ago… WoD was a decade ago
