@@themontemoto i flip gokarts and mini bikes a lot more than standard bike stuff. but every now and then i flip bikes. sold a 1998 harley sportster a month ago. was a real nice bike for the money
Nice piece of kit as long as its a late one they did have top end trouble on the earlier models I have a 78 model registered as an 80 and its as sweet as a nut flickable little tool ....have mine set up as a street scrambler have fun great content by the way ....Gitworm ( UK)
Thanks!! I've heard from several people that they're finicky but once you get them going they're a lot of fun and so far that's been my experience! Although I've only ridden it for 10 minutes in the almost dark 🤷
Had mine for the last two months. Slowly fixing carbs ignition brakes leaks... But it a nice bike with reasonable performance. Warning standard headlamp is REALLY bad!
I believe it was a company called “Autocar” the ignition is branded “newtronics” the part number for the lamp assembly I bought is PN: AK-YAM3. I ended up just emailing them and telling them what I wanted and their people helped me out
Kyle uses magic and disappears at 0:22 ! ! Yeah those Goldwings weight a ton haha Sold two of them this summer.
Yeah it's a pain just to get mine out of the garage! How did you end up with so many? Lol
@@themontemoto found them in a deal a few years back. couldn't pass them up for the price heh
Do you flip bikes regularly?

Worth it man! Told ya they are cool bikes. Can’t seem to go out without someone asking about it.
I'm loving it so far! Looking forward to parking it in the street and seeing how many other dudes stop to look. Not going to lie.

I have a 76 C model I fitted with home made electronic ignition. Not a bad performer for it's hay. As said above early models were not great.

Agreed, nice bike with reasonable performance is a good way of putting it
This is the upgraded headlight i put on my 1977 xs500, it bolts up and wires directly
Wow that guy in the helmet and jacket looks cool!
Coolest lookin moto vlogger who ever punched a mirror
I have one of these xs500 as well. Super fun bike. Not sure why they get so much hate.
Who did you get the ignition from?

Hey mate, do you know what sort of exhaust and mufflers this is running? Cheers
I do not sorry! I sold it in the summer so I can’t even try to find out
Not the original ones. Those were from Sito and sound better than the ones in the video IMHO.
Got one for free that hasn´t run in decades, I didn´t have time to start working on it..... too many projects in progress ...😌
Sometimes I miss my XJ550. It was light and sporty and fun as hell. Definitely did not look cool tho
No it for sure didn't look cool. But it was for sure faster than this bike
Keep it dude … u will never get another
Paint it and the wheels back to black
I do need to paint the wheels at the very least
