Listen this, abolish the surge of noises and images of everyday life in order to open the space of a place where contingency and representation give way to the immateriality of the sensible. Once the door is closed on agitation of the world, an underlying silence sets in, a slowness seizes preludes to a dilation of perception and consciousness. The expressive power of the sound architecture breaks with any form of transcription of the real to attach itself to the expression of an elusive universe. Colors and rhythm of these compositions is a language that gives voice to exaltation!
@@matzeklingner3902 I was wrong indeed, they were earlier in Rock In Opposition movement but a few years later than Magma. UZ started in 1974 and were one of the first few bands to take Rock In Opposition banner alongside with Henry Cow. But then again, that's not a genre, more of a social/political ideology. Magma's Zeuhl is the same but with different name xD
Daniel Denis was briefly a member of Magma in 1972 along with the keyboardist of his Canterbury influenced band Arkham, Jean-Luc Manderlier. Denis formed Necronomicon in 1974 with Roger Trigaux, which in 1977 evolved to become Univers Zero. Denis has cited Vander as one of his influences along with Tony Williams.
a true masterpiece that only they could create..... important music...
Daniel Denis is incomparable. It seems like he has reached that same level of finesse that Christian Vander has.
love this

Eh..say again? Why not simply say, "set aside all traditional ideas of what constitutes music, and be seduced."

@@TransportAerianMusic I didn´t know that! I believe the first magma album was "kobaia" in 1969. I didn´t know univers zero where around then.
