The whole bit about "Seagull invited you to a custom lobby" was an exploit of the fact that anyone could invite you to a lobby (not friends only or no one as you can set it today). So his chat trolled him by constantly having that popup there. Ever time he'd decline one, another would pop up. They just changed their account name to Seagull to add an extra oddity to it.
reminds me of when hearthstone first came out and you could whisper anyone, so people were messaging pros what cards their opponents had in hand when they were on stream. From memory you also couldnt mute them during a game
Seagull was the first streamer I watched that played very competitively but was still able to let his personality shine while doing so. Easily one of the main reasons I've used Twitch as much as I have in the last 6 years.
What made seagull the goat was the fact that his streams were very informative. He’d explain what was going on in the fight while it was happening and also tell us what he should’ve done if the fight was lost. Miss seagull
yeah I remember people asking him why he did that, and he literally said "Dallas fuel needed a dva player and they just said to me "ok you're learning dva" "
It was also I remember because Dallas picked up Gesture or someone nutty on projectile dps, so Seagull was just like “Well we don’t really have a Dva player on the team. Screw it.”

The reason why seeing top players in quick play isn’t in the overwatch culture anymore is cause the main reason they would enter quick play at all was to play the new heroes. But if you don’t remember I don’t blame you cause the last hero to be added to overwatch was echo back in early 2020 ;)
that first slash at 3:29 now misses 100% of the time now idk if the range was higher or the servers just got shittier over the years but that looks insane rn
Yea they definitely nerfed it, I know the range was shortened, but I believe also the peripheral hit registration was narrowed so you can't just swing while rotating (like you can with Reinhardt or old genji). Took a while to get used to it when they made the change.
that was his best hanzo clip? its crazy and better than anything ive done but I got some nasty shit almost that lvl and one privated hanzo video where I get a 7 piece
"the two words are git gud" is it true? when OW2 dropped I was a victim of the eternal bronze 5 bug, for the last 3 seasons I've had to solo queue grind my ass all the way from bronze 5 up to plat and still rising, my mechanics haven't changed much, my positioning on support and dps is much better, but not bronze 5 to plat 5 difference, it took me 6 months of grinding to get here, and I promise you it would be much faster if I actually queued with a team
Honestly I think that just has to do with it being new for you at first. That being said, either play with IRL friends or make 4 friends on the game. A full stack on OW makes the game 10x more fun than hoping your team wants to use teamwork in solo q.
get good is a good response. I have back to ow2 placed gold as a dps played in season 1 and 2 and through I should be higher. came back a week into season 3 and last time I played got up to diamond 1. i don't play everyday and only solo q. so its sometimes a luck game of what team mates i get but in the end if you're good and carry your own weight you'll rank up
Not to say you dont deserve it, I’m sure you do, but there’s also a big issue with the system right now, 90% of the time even if you have a negative winloss ratio you will still rank up. I’ve gone 5-7 5-8 etc and always rank up still. Hope they fix it soon
To anyone reading this: I hope you are resilient to all that faces you but also open up to others when you need too. Have a nice day and keep on going you got this :) And make sure you also do the things you love :)
Imo, the difference between a plat player and a diamond player (on console) is having a team that communicates Like, I've gone on 10 win streaks with teams that talk, where I, as a main tank, would have gold damage every game, everyone knew I was carrying But as soon as I start solo queuing, or I use find a group, I end up going on losing streaks, because I either get a lobby of no mics, or a lobby of toxic assholes, or a lobby of idiots that either don't know what they're doing or don't care Yeah, the reason I'm not way higher? All me, but it seems like, I get long periods of time where it's impossible for me to catch a break It's easy to say "git guud" but then in a youtubers next video they'll acknowledge toxicity, people constantly getting kicked from games due to shitty servers, smurfs out the ass, throwers, cheaters, MnK users on console, and in general horrible matchmaking (tell me how at 2986, I get a lobby where I am the only plat player, but the next game when I'm a full diamond rank, I become the only diamond player in the lobby? It's fucked up, I just try harder my ass off in a lobby where EVERYONE is better than me, then my next game you give me 3 teammates that haven't even PEAKED past 2600?! Especially in OW1, you are SUPER reliant on your teammates ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAY MAIN TANK, and ESPECIALLY now, where DPS are overtuned and tanks are undertuned (because there's two of them, and tank synergies are overpowered, but near impossible to capitalize on when THERE ISNT ANY COMMS HAPPENING!) Yeah, it's my fault I haven't hit masters in 3 yrs of playing, but in the past 3 or 4 months, the game is the epitome of D. E. A. D. DEAD. What little competitive integrity the game had is gone, I played 8 games yesterday on my day off, three games there were leavers (1 out of 3 of those was an enemy player, so I won lol) 2 games I had smurf DPS and Support duos (so, I was outplayed the tanks, but I would get overtaken by the dps because they would never die) and 2 more of those games I had the same duo on my team that admitted to only having the game 2 weeks, they were barely in plat, one became a gold by our second game together, I avoided one of them after the second game) and the last game was relatively normal, and I lost due to my own mistakes I'm at LEAST a 3200 reinhardt most days, consistency is a problem of mine, and it is exasterbated by the inconsistencies in the ranked experience, that is what will make or break OW2 for me, the ranked experience, matchmaking, punishments for leaving, punishing throwers and smurfs and cheaters, giving back SR taken by mistakes in the system (server crashes, successful bans due to throwing and cheating) Yeah, for most people, including myself, it's mostly our faults for not climbing, but to say "git guud" without acknowledging the immense obstacles within the ranked system itself is insulting, and honestly hilarious because they get acknowledged all the time, except when people are asking why they aren't improving There needs to be way better tutorials for each character in OW2 as well, maybe little missions that require you to learn high skill moves, like eating grav and blocking shatter, managing shield health, using cover, etc. So that everyone is coming to the game on a more even playing field, so there isn't as steep a learning curve for most players, so my teammates aren't completely clueless when in a match with more veteran players OW1 is EXTREMELY team dependent, so to act like your teams performance has zero impact on your personal growth as a player is laughable I was looking at leadervoards for console, only one person in the top 20 has any hours on reinhardt, all the top players are roadhog or zarya, and that shows how fucked the games balance is right now, where we are basically required to have a main tank of some kind, but only the people playing mostly off tanks are able to climb the highest, it's because main tanks get shit on by characters like roadhog, so, maybe I should just drop reinhardt, but he's my main, I have 300 hrs on him, and I suck at roadhog, so, I guess this just isn't the meta I'm meant to climb in
No need to justify yourself I got a flashback of how entitled these dickheads are who are in the top ranks how flawed the rank system was when I'd carry most games in High plat and low diamond but when open division came around I was legit outplaying a High masters tank/team and basically making all the callouts not claiming I'm some god but when you try rank up and you match up with a group of people constantly that find it funny to throw or have a bad attitude before the game so they throw no wonder everyone was asking streamers at the top those questions 😂
