I anchor bolted a 4" x 4" x 8' to the garage floor to ensure I do not back into cabinets at the rear of my garage - similar situation to your shelves. When I got my Challenger, the wheelbase was different versus the old Mopar B-Bodies I had. So what worked for me was to lay a second 4 x 4 in front of the bolted pylon and it works 100% of the time. It looks like these tire cradle ramps could be butted up the the wood and set similar to the video except the wood eliminates the risk of going to far back and the dreaded position variation.
Thanx for the video - I've been a dumb ass for not getting these sooner....getting new set of shoes for the Hellcat next week, so I'll be ordering me some of these now. Props for mentioning the different widths for various tire sizes (I run staggered w 275's up front & 305s rear), so that was helpful. Cheers!
Subscribed to your channel for over a year and I was always surprised that you did not have the long race ramps. When you get them you will love them. You will use your floor jack less. Thanks for the video.
Good video and just on time. I got a tight garage as well and I’m putting a S-550 Mercedes on them. It’s a little pain having to keep getting out to set the front ones, they should develop ones for the front specifically so you can drive over them. Thanks for the video👍🏽👍🏽 I also have 2 Battery maintainers plugged in as I got a battery up front and one in the back as well. I installed the quick plugs for those.
They have great products and got the 72" service ramps for my Challenger a couple of years ago. They are so much better than the old traditional iron ones and are super lightweight, but very strong and durable
This is cool. I have Nitto Invos, 315 in the back 275 up front, and they go flat after less than 8 hours. Vibration goes away after 2 miles on the highway. These ramps would be perfect if the fronts were bi-directional so you could drive on and off of them without having to move them out of the way every time.
Thanks for sharing this. I just put my GT on the race ramps two days ago and noticed my front tires ever so slightly sit over the ridge line (just before the cup). The tires look to be pushed in somewhat at that line which concerned me but seeing that the ramps conform in your video, I am no longer worried. 😀
Since you already use the Race Ramps you know they are quality. I have the longer Ramps as you know by seeing me with them at Carlisle. They are a worthy purchase. The price is a little pricey but you get a quality product that is easy to use .
Wow since my car will be in the garage probably 75 % of the time in the winter. These are probably a good investment. I'm also thinking about getting a battery tender. What's your thoughts
Hi I’ve been searching all over UA-cam and there was no videos reviewing the Barton T handle shift knob on a manual. I was wondering if you could do a review on the Barton t handle shift knob? Thank you. Have a nice day.
Sorry, the T-Handle shift knob is not something I plan to buy. I do know from past experience the Automatic pistol grip works extremely well and looks amazing. The T-handle has the same mounting design and installs the same. Take a look at some of the reviews on the Pistol grip. For both installs you need to leave the original shifter head in place, you simply tuck it away inside the center console.
I have a detached garage and learned that critters like dark spaces. I keep the hood open to deter them from nesting under the hood. I had a small fire and some chew damage when some mice built a nest on the manifold of my scat pack.
Hey Mike, how long does it take for flat spots to form and will they go away once you start driving. My tires are 305s. Sometimes my challenger will sit in the garage for a week or 2. I live in N. Florida
Ouch $375 for the ramps. I saw some race ramps for $150. 5 ton support. But not sure if they are low enough with a added front splitter. If you ever come across some around that price that will work with a 3.5 inch ZL1 splitter would love to know
The 72" is the set that will work with a splitter, it's got a low 6.8 degree approach then once you're off the ground that final 6" is a 10.8 degree incline. The lesser expensive 56" will work for a 1" lowered hellcat and scat pack, but not with a splitter.
@@WorkPlayDrive crap! I checked amazon. The ones I was looking at are 46 inches long. I guess those wont work. I dont have the splitter yet but really want one. Im hesitant because i saw a youtube video that said do not mount a splitter like this. And he talked about how the splitter rods mount to the existing holes in the grill. Just unscrew the screw already there, hold up the rod, replace screw. I like this because no taking off the front bumper to mount brackets to the bumper support. But apparently his splitter got ripped off at speed and pulled his grill out too.. He went on to say how some people damage their bumpers as well when this happens. I know you mounted a ZL1 splitter. I cant remember in that video how you mounted the rods. The splitter was a ZL1 so I assume you mounted it to the grill like they tell you to. How fast have you had the car? I assume the splitter held up?
@Anthony Intelisano I did the ZL1 rear diffuser and side skirts. Sorry, I'm not a fan of the front splitter look so I do not have one. I know some brands are for looks only and will get ripped off at speed. I'm a huge fan of ZL1 but I don't have any experience with their front splitter. @@WorkPlayDrive oh, oops. Ive watched so many of your videos since 2019 I thought i saw one from you on a zl1 splitter. I guess my brain is making things up since i know you do like ZL1. Thanks man appreciate it
Yes it does, I haven't had any issues with 3-4 week sits. I just purchased the Battery Tender Plus amzn.to/3mn0w9o and installed it this weekend for when it gets really cold. I installed the quick plug under the hood since my hood is open when in the Garage.
I have a set of these flatstoppers. I left my BMW 535i xdrive parked on these in March 2020 in my garage in Arizona. The tires are Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 with only 5,000 miles on them. Unfortunately, I was unable to get back to the car until October 2021 and the tires are flat spotted. Trying to work them out but may have to replace all 4.
Curb rash you could take it to a shop and have them redo it. When I had my widebody wheels re-done it only cost $150 per wheel to have them stripped fixed and re-powder coated. That price also included mounting of the tires and balancing.
@@WorkPlayDrive thanx, we have a local place that does powder coating. I’ll have to wait on that for alittle but. My wife is already about to kill for spending so much money. That reminds me, Your Tee shirts, none of them have Octane Red Challenger.

@@WorkPlayDrive Great. Looking forward to it! I'm in the market for one and thinking of getting the large wheelbase one (6000XLT) due to the distance between the pinch welds on the Challengers, but not sure how it would suit me for other potential cars in the future.
The 6000XLT was the one I'm looking at as well. I was disappointed to see their pinch weld pucks were too big to fit in the rocker panels, but for the same price the ZL1 Magpads would work perfect. If you don't get some sort of pinch weld adapter you will separate or ruin the rocker panels. in the front of the car.

May I ask why you let the car with the hood open before closing the garage door? Just a curiosity :)
