Thank you 🙏 Ironically, the very ingredient’s that gave me the nudge to begin. It makes me so happy, it’s great to serve and a pleasure to know that others really do feel it too 👍💫🐣❤️🤩😃
Great video!! I’m with you about Hornby! I think they are doing a fantastic job atm. HM 7000 is looking really good and the TXS decoders are really good!! 👏👏👏
Thank you for your clear and informative videos! I enjoyed this one, even if I already did the very same procedure with my Thane of Fife. I look forward to watch your Legacy Dongle videos, if I can spare an hour or so! Good to see such quality content between all the flashing opiniated clickbait.
It certainly is and had it in my hands only yesterday admiring it on the layout. For the price with club discount, reward points and building offer, just had to say yes and so glad I did 👍
Hi Andy, Thank you for another positive and most pleasant to watch review on this 'superb' Hornby steam locomotive. I would love one but it's so sad that the EU charges exorbitant taxes on UK items that makes it so expensive. Not to mention the transport companies charging extra cost on imported items. It's a crazy world of greed and interference of foolish gouvernements in all aspects of our lives. If 'leaders' would only play trains and enjoy this fine hobby !! Happy model railroading, Cheers, Filip
@@modelocoAhha, Thanks for the tip Andy! I've never thought of this as a 'could be' solution. Just need to find a Model RW shop shipping to France. I Google a company and check it out. Thanks again and have a great weekend !
What is concerning, apart from you being charged so much now and so, avoiding. Is that UK based companies with employees too, are again going to be hard pressed to be on a level playing field. I feel this will have been a major influence regarding Hattons, that Rails of Sheffield have now acquired in name only. Just like the railways, freight was taxed onto the roads and as I harp on about, all so well timed, then Dr. Beeching had a field day 😮

Hi. I've recently got the dongle but it's not compatible with my NCE powercab. I use 4 digit addresses for my DCC Loco's and am wondering if I will get away with buying a Hornby select controller and using the dongle on that. Will that work do you think knowing that the select only uses 2 digit addressing?
Yes, Hornby state they will, as long as you readdress your locos into something that the select recognises first. If you can call up and run locos on the select, the dongle will see them and then you can copy them over into the app. My earlier two shows on the dongle may help a bit too 👍
I’m still new to Hornby’s HMDCC. I know that I can HMDCC chipped locos on Analogue because someone did that at my local club and because of that, I might re-chip my DCC locos but do I need a HM7000 if I am to get the chips?
You need the free app to register decoders added. This protects that decoder from hacking. You also need it to download/set specific settings and sounds to the decoders, as they ship with just a basic steam sound profile. The Apple iPad is a marriage made in heaven, I find. Remember too the app allows you to now alter/read all CV settings on the fly, very simply indeed if the decoders are the new HM7000 ones and all this is done on the layout. No programming track needed 🙏👍
Rapidly becoming my favourite UA-camr. Love your enthusiasm and informative videos. Better than the naysayers and carpet enthusiast!

They are and once embraced, it’s so much easier 👍

Thank you 🙏. I very much appreciate your comments and really look forward to any more comments you add. The Thane Of Fife is a beautiful model 👍
Stunning model of Thane of fife

Hi Filip, Good to hear from you again. Could I ask, if you bought from a company based in Ireland would these fees be still applied in the same way?

@phil36310 It might be why it’s becoming very popular for the likes of Apple, Amazon and a certain model manufacturer

Good job Andy. See you on the next one.👍
Thank you Steven, Might be back on the TT front soon. Loving both at present and then there’s the control side. It’s all happening 👍

Plus a good watch before buying as an elite may serve you better
