    All natural face wash: powdered oatmeal.
    Pulse oatmeal in a blender (Ninja, Vitamix, etc.) until oatmeal becomes a powder. Store in a cool dry place. When ready to use, just put a little in your hand, add water and massage into face. It's soooo incredible soothing. Will not remove makeup, but is a good morning face wash.

    I love this balm recipe, it's my favorite.
    I do add Vitamin E oil, to help preserve it and because it is also very good for the lips.
    I do the same recipe, jyst adding more beeswax to make hand balm, I like it a bit harder for the hands.
    I advise everyone to try it, I've used Carmex, Burt's Bees, etc. and made the test... this recipe wins against all of them, however I personally like to use Burt's every few days so that your skin doesn't get used to the balm so much that it stops having the the same power (I do this with my skincare too, never use anything more than 3/5 days, always take a break and use something really needed or the wonderful rosehip oil).

I’ve been checking into getting some beeswax pellets(online) but am a little concerned with a few complaints regarding how bad the smell is, even though some have added essential oil. Is this something that would dissipate over time, is there a way to get rid of the bad odour?

    I don't understand, assuming if you can get everything clean again, what's wrong with using your bowl or grate for food? it looks like you are using food grade oils and though beeswax isn't nutritious, it's used in food occasionally and is totally harmless. I just watched a video of a guy deep frying things in beeswax (though I don't recommend that)

    Does this always have to be kept in the fridge?
    Any substitute for almond oil?

    • @TheConfusedhero
      @TheConfusedhero 4 роки тому

      I never put it in the fridge and always take it with me. It is the only balm that keeps my lips moisturized for hours without reapplying it.
      You can use every oil that you prefer. I use 1 tbsp Shea butter and 1 tbsp castor oil or grapeseed oil and sometimes add a few Drops of Vitamin E oil.

    Aja, have you ever made a lip balm with lanolin as opposed to the beeswax? I'm curious as to which feels better on the lips/skin.

      +Kiana Archer no I haven't, this is my first time hearing about lanolin. What is it?

    • @niikolful
      @niikolful 8 років тому

      +Aja Dang It's a moisturizer often found in beauty items. The texture is similar to Vaseline.

      It is from sheep's sebaceous glands. It is excellent for dry skin, skin rashes and nursing mothers when trying to heal sore/cracked nipples. It is quite viscous on its own. Would be great to add in place of the almond oil. Although I would patch test first, to test for any sensitivity/allergies before adding to the recipe.

    Quick question! How do I make my lip balms less wax "smelling" and "tasting"? I added essential oils and it still tastes pretty waxy!

    Why can't you use your tools again for food? All I saw was bees wax, coconut oil, and almond oil. I'm pretty sure all of those things are edible. Is there some other reason why I can't use them for both? Am I missing something?

    Hi 👋 Sorry if someone already asked this question but I was wondering about the almond oil. Some people are allergic to nuts. What other oil would you recommend if someone is allergic to nuts?

    Hi Aja. I used your recipe but instead of regular coconut oil, I used THC infused coconut oil. Cannabis has so much good stuff for your skin. Thank you for the video! #Goldenstatemeds
