  • Snow Print Plaster is a fast setting plaster developed by Kjell Carlsson in Sweden for casting snow impression evidence.
It uses the "dry casting" technique where a layer of dry plaster is initially sifted over the impression. Then the remaining plaster is mixed, and poured into the impression just as it begins to set.
This results in a cast that can be lifted within 10 minutes.
Here are two examples of using Snow Print Plaster (also sold as "SnowStone") to cast snow impressions. One shoe impression is in colder 18F snow, the other is in warm 32F slushy snow.
Feel free to use this for training - I welcome any comments from crime scene personnel who wish to share their experiences with Snow Print Plaster, or other techniques for casting snow impression evidence

That's just plain old good work Brother. Thanks for posting. We have found The Plaster Guys a good source for materials including Dental Plasters.

Interesting. I would have thought the thermal reaction would have melted away your evidence. Fascinating.
