Wow, I went back down to the lime tree today in better sunlight and found an easy 30 or so galls that I needed to cut out. It pays to check and recheck at different times of the day to see what you might have missed.
Mr Citrus Man "Ian Tolley" said, you don't have to worry about the cut pieces because they're dead once you remove them. They survive by the mother plant to feed it. Good ole Epsom. Love that stuff to revive a sickly plant too. salt
Hi Stewart... Always enjoy your videos... 4 or 5 months ago you did a revised video of Azalea cuttings. I was wondering how you went and if you planned a follow up. I can never get them to take.
Hi again Stewart... There is an interesting article on the gardening Australia UA-cam channel regarding gall wasp that you may be interested in. It's the most recent one. A different approach... No idea if it works or is better....
Hi Mark, thanks for the heads-up. I watched the video and have been thinking it over for the last few days. My thoughts are that while it is very clever and may have some practical uses I'm not about to take to my citrus with a potato peeler. I have two main areas of concern, the first is once you have peeled enough of the stem back it would weaken it too much. Secondly, it leaves the stem exposed to whatever else is around in the way of further insect or fungal damage. I'll keep an open mind and see if I can find any practical use for this method but in the meantime, I'll stick with pruning out the gall.

He’d know way more than I ever will. I’ll play it on the safe side just in case. Epsom salts is marvellous stuff though.

Hi Mark, yes a follow up video is on the way. I think I'll also need to make a revised, revised video.
