    Beans went down cause I sold 1/3 crop yesterday morning lol. Going to call and sell 1/3 more this morning. Pete Meyer is very convincing.

    Wheat and barley should be popular here in the east. Lots of livestock operations and a very poor corn crop. Wheat and barley both did well this summer before the drought destroyed the corn and bean crop

    As soon as the river terminals get their obligations filled the bean trade will make new lows.

    I would like everyone to look at all of the bearings on their equipment and see what it says on the side of the races, probably says made in China. can we continue to accept price increases of 30 percent or more on parts? This is what tariffs do. It's tough to balance this all out

    • @scottrayhons2537
      @scottrayhons2537 8 днів тому

      We need to make the parts here. China made crap is junk when it's new. Not just bearings either! It's everything!

      30%? No, its 60% your only half way there.
      As far as everything made in China you are about 35 years late...Ronal Regan sold the U.S. to china

  • @GhostRider-dp2tc

    We have not hit the tariffs yet.
    China will keep reducing the amount of grain purchases from the US.....I am forcasting $6 soybeans and $2 corn within 2 years

    Yields are lot higher than they use to be so you don't need as much per bushel

    So we’re not putting tariffs on soybeans. How can we give waivers. Makes no sense to me.

    Years ago before income tax , tariffs funded the U.S. Gov't . A return to that system could be implemented . With the IRS only used for the Social Security , with a very minor personal income tax rate .

      That's only possible if the Federal Government goes on a drastic weight loss diet! Government back then was extremely slim compared to today!

      @@davidkottman3440yes and I doubt we would agree to the drastic program cuts. Also, this would be a very regressive tax where consumers are funding the government. Less consumer spending ~ recession 😢

    How ironic is it if the businesses tried to manipulate prices within our country they would be nailed for price gouging, but we’re ok with tariffs 😂. Trump will be negative for the EV incentives as well as renewables (which I’m fine with) drill baby drill 👍

      I hope he is a financial hawk too, like the rest of his cabinet. We need to get these high grain prices lowered to sub $2.00 corn and sub $ 7.00 soybeans so farmers can start making money again feeding cattle, growing chickens, fattening hogs so grocery prices decline.

    • @scottrayhons2537
      @scottrayhons2537 8 днів тому

      @Leslie-y9l sub $2 corn don't pay off $15,000/acre land prices. Can't believe anybody would pay $15k for an acre of land and sit in the coffee shop all day and bellyache about not being able to make it.
