Indigenous Peoples day is a commemoration of the Conquest of the Americas by European explorers that led to one of the longest sustained policies of Genocide of Indigenous Peoples and Conquest of Indigenous Lands, Culture, Religion,
The Conquest continues to the present day through the subjugation of Culture, Religion, Language, Bigotry and the destruction of the Environment and Bio-Diversity to feed a colonial mind set of conquest for self-gain and greed.
The message is simple
LAND BACK - WATER IS LIFE - MMIW -HUMAN TRAFFICKING MUST STOP - NO HONOR IN GENOCIDE - REMOVE SYMBOLS OF COLONIAL CONQUEST - DE-COLONIZE YOUR MIND - RESPECT THE WISDOM OF THE ELDERS -U.N. DECLARATION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES RIGHTS

On December 10 1992 a grand council of Indigenous leaders from 500 Nations met at the United Nations lead by the Native American Community Council of New York City organized be Tonya Frichner and Oren Lyons to present the Declaration of Indigenous Peoples to the UN General Assembly.
The meeting was electric, for the first time in history, Indigenous Peoples were able to present their common voice as a body
“Affirming that indigenous peoples are equal in dignity and rights to all other peoples, while recognizing the right of all peoples to be different, to consider themselves different, and tobe respected as such,”
“Affirming also that all peoples contribute to the diversity and richness of civilizations and cultures, which constitute the common heritage of humankind,”
“Affirming further that all doctrines, policies and practices based on or advocating superiority of peoples or individuals on the basis of national origin, racial, religious, ethnic or cultural differences are racist, scientifically false, legally invalid, morally condemnable and socially unjust,”
“Reaffirming also that indigenous peoples, in the exercise of their rights, should be free from discrimination of any kind,”
The document is long and was finally adapted 15 years later into the UN Charter on September 13 2007.
