I watched this movie growing up, and I still love it. I remember that the bed in my grandmother's spare room had a bedknob that could be easily removed. I would twist it and let my imagination run wild as I imagined what places I would visit. I know that this movie is from the '70s, but it saddens me that none of my friends watched this movie growing up (we were all born in the late eighties/early nineties).
I don't think there's any real need to weep for her. She had a very long and successful life I'm sure she was quite happily set with everything she accomplished and none of us live forever, that would become boring. I think she should be celebrated but I don't think there's any reason to feel bad for her
Professor Brown is the same guy who played Mr Banks in Mary Poppins. The contrast between the two characters is very interesting to me. In Mary Poppins he played a no-nonsense banker who did not have time for his children. In this movie the guy is all fun.

Why isn't this film more famous than it is? I even like it more than "Mary Popppins", which is a little too sugary for me. This song plus the end sequence where the knights defeat the Germans are among the best scenes ever in Disney. And Lansbury and Tomlinson are simply wonderful!
times were changing, ahead of disney. alas... music, wholesome fantasy, wars, were from the past. newer generations werent as interested. i believe this film was made before "beauty and the beast." disneys revival and renewal.

But me watching that Movie is was SOOO good and amazing! 😍😍😍💜💜💜 I loved everything about it including the "Portobello Road", Underwater Song, and Spell Dancing Clothes Song! 😍😍😍🙌🙌🙌 The "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" Movie is one of me favourite Disney Movies now! 👏👏👏

They really need to make this into a Broadway play and have Angela play Miss Price again because this is the best Disney movie there ever was or will be.
my fav parts in this scene r wen first, she gets kicked in the butt by the shoes, and shes like ooh, and the clothes of course, and the kid wen the clothes first come in, hes like "limey" or something, and it makes me laf!
i saw an off broadway version based closer to the book. but they made the shoes move by having a guy wearing a tan unitard wearing them then dance around. it totally lost the magic effect.. this movie is amazing
