I’m not sure how she was elected but I believe the way she got away with much she has is the public’s ignorance of how local government works. Many people think the trustees are wrong and creating issues because they’re questioning her. Checks and balances in local govm’t is paramount. If a tree trimmer is making millions annually, and no one knows whose trees he’s billed for, how they were chosen, and no invoice with detailed information, that’s unheard of! Some people equate questioning her with creating turmoil in their village. But many understand this woman is off the rails and has been for years.

Most of the time when you see or hear us make slogans like, " Black is beautiful" or "Proud to be black", it isn't in a divisive way. It is us compensating for the perception or reality of not getting recognition from living in a country that consistently reminds you that you are not important or beautiful. Saying, "White is beautiful" or White pride" in western country's, seems to be a little unnecessarily at least and racist at worst .
