Broad beans at this time of year Create a landing platform for the black fly this attracts black ants the simple solution is nip out the top tip which is what I chucked in compost today as always happy gardening Richardx

😂😂 I have done that wiped out a vlog (or 2 😂😂). Yep tickle your tomatoes gently 👍. Flower drop is from heat not to worry too much. It’s awesome to get a fresh harvest. Have a super day Amie, Ali 🇨🇦

I think tomatoes are self-pollinating. 👍 There's barely a buzz or a flutter in my garden and I'm looking at some nice fruits coming on. They do get a nice breeze, which must help shake the pollen into the flower.

@@RichardTaylorgardening I love the idea of going around with a little makeup brush and pollinating my tomatoes. 😆

Most of it is new, to be honest 🙈🙈 I’m fairly familiar with tomatoes, cucumbers, chard and potatoes but the rest is scary territory 🤣

Your broad beans are ready to eat, one year picked some at french bean size and convinced the husband to eat them. Not allowed to do it again.

What size pots are your tomatoes planted, as now have a tunnel house, but garden in the southern hemisphere, so its winter here. Will try a few earlier plants keep them alive in our house until frosts are finished.
